Elemental Dispel (417)

|
Elemental Dispel, when targeted at a character or creature and cast, has one of three results:
- Will cause the target to lose any currently prepared spell, along with the mana it would have required to cast that spell. May inflict nerve damage when dispelling a prepared spell from a target.
- Will cause a spell that is current cast on the target to be dispelled. I.e. If the target had Elemental Defense I cast on it then it would be canceled.
- Will cause the target to lose a portion, or even all of its mana.
The mana cost for removing a spell is reduced by one (1) mana per seventy-five (75) skill bonus in the Elemental Mana Control skill. The mana costs for dispelling a prepared spell or burning a target's mana remain a flat 17 mana, and are NOT affected by mana control skill training.
If cast on an item, the spell has a chance to drain charges, dispel any stored spells, or remove another type of special quality. When cast at an Elementally Bladed weapon or bolts/arrows then it will remove the elemental blading magic; the same is true for a weapon enhanced with Minor Elemental Edging.
A sphere interference cascade effect triggers when single dispel spells of different spheres are used on the same target in combination.
