A handkerchief is an item commonly sold by merchants and at festival shops.

Types

There are a few different types of handkerchief; unfortunately most are not identifiable via analyze.

Some handkerchiefs may also serve as accessories for other items, such as those that work with Fancy Coats from the Ebon Gate Festival shop Whimsical Wares or Valinda's shop, Engaged in Elegance. While Fancy Coat handkerchiefs have scripts, the Engaged in Elegance handkerchiefs do not.

The names given here are not official; they merely represent the overall theme of the scripts. Some types come with several actions, some with only a handful, and some may have none at all.

The perfume type of handkerchief has been seen at the Rumor Woods shop Poiret & Company. These handkerchiefs have scripts that require unlocking and can be done so by the premium merchant, Xerria.

Perfume

Analyze

You analyze your white cotton handkerchief and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

This white cotton handkerchief (Tier 1) can be scented with any perfume or cologne, and the aroma will last for 4 hours. At this tier there is no way to remove or refresh a scent. This handkerchief is currently unscented. Using the last drop of perfume or cologne will destroy the container.

USAGE: CLENCH (scent the item with perfume/cologne), WEAR (if applicable), REMOVE (if applicable), SMELL, WAVE

You get no sense of whether or not the handkerchief may be further lightened.
