Unarmed attack factor
The Unarmed attack factor (UAF) is a measure of an attacker's strength and it is one of the elements that make up the unarmed combat system's (UCS) combat resolution formula. Its function is similar to Attack Strength in AS/DS combat.
Unarmed Attack Factor (UAF) Formula
Notes:
- 1. The UAF is not affected by stance.
- 2. Weapon enchant bonus/es are first averaged and then divided by 2.
Calculating Weapon Enchant Bonus
Only UCS compatible brawling weapons will add a bonus to the UAF.
1. Example with one weapon:
- 5x Weapon (+25)
- Total enchant bonus added to UAF: +12 [trunc(25 ÷ 2)]
2. Example with two weapons:
- Weapon1 bonus: +5
- Weapon2 bonus +15
- Average enchant bonus of both weapons: (5 + 15) ÷ 2 = +10
- Total enchant bonus added to UAF: +5 (10 ÷ 2)
3. Example with Strength (509), Dragonclaw (1209), 4x handwraps and 4x UCS brawling weapon
- Strength: +15
- Dragonclaw: +10
- 4x handwraps: +20
- 4x UCS weapon: +10 (20 ÷ 2)
- Total bonus added to UAF: +55 (15 + 10 + 20 + 10)
Other UAF Modifiers
Generally, most spells, skills, enhancives, society signs/ sigils/symbols etc. that increase/decrease Attack Strength (AS) will also increase/decrease UAF values. The major difference between AS and UAF is the affect of stance. Stance can significantly modify a combatant's attack strength but has no affect on the unarmed attack factor.
