Arkati Prayer Beads are specialty prayer beads. They were sold by hand by the merchant Kaelypso at Ebon Gate 2019.
The beads are character-attuned, but not in the tradional sense. Once worn, it will take 24 hours for the attunement process to complete. This allows for the transfer of the item to a new owner yet curtails sharing the beads between characters for purposes of the enhanvice bonus. It also limits usage of the item per day.

You can only wear one set of beads at any given time and you must wear a set of beads for 24 hours to fully attune the beads before you can use them. If you remove the beads, even for a moment, it will reset the timer and you will have to re-attune to the beads for another 24 hours. Keep this in mind when removing beads to have them unlocked or otherwise worked on, as you will need to re-attune them for 24 hours even then. Tier 2 - The buff is 1 - 10 (randomly chosen). It will be applied to either the ranks or the bonus (again, randomly decided). It lasts for 30 minutes. Tier 3 - The buff is 2 - 20 (randomly chosen). It will be applied to either the ranks or the bonus (again, randomly decided). It lasts for an hour.
- A note on the FOLD verb. Prayer Beads that have been unlocked to T2 can be folded to change them from a necklace to a bracelet. Or folded again to change back from a bracelet to a necklace.
- Tap, Pray, Measure, and Pull - have multiple messages that are possible. When you Tap/Pray/Measure/Pull the beads, instead of always getting the same message you will get one of five possible messages. Each verb has five possible messages currently. If you like a specific message, you have the option of having a merchant set the prayer beads to always display specific messaging.
- The T2 Buff Activation Comes With a Chance of Failure! Fail badly enough and it comes with a chance of serious injury, even death (however, you have to fail REALLY badly to be more than slightly injured). All players (except Clerics and Paladins) start with a base 50/50 chance of failure. Clerics and Paladins have a 40% chance of failure by default. However a lot of factors go into this calculation. I have no plans at this time to release the factors that go into the calculation, but I will say that the factors are pretty common sense and in general are things linked to the Arkati the prayer beads are linked to. So if you are a Lumnis worshiping Wizard, trying to use a set of Luukos prayer beads is.. not going to end well for you most of the time.
- The T3 Buff has no chance of failure at all!
