Scalesdown Shipyard

Scalesdown Shipyard is a shop in Sleeping Drake Harbor, around the Isle of Ornath, that sells ships, ship supplies, and/or upgrades for Open Sea Adventures. This is also where you would go to have your ship repaired.

The proprietor is a jade-haired tattooed ship seller.

Covered in a mottled gravel of red marl, limestone, and shale, the open air shipyard is filled with bustling workers, each mending or maintaining a variety of vessels in a dry-dock state. The vast expanse is dotted with wooden scaffolds and large pulley systems, their ropes and beams gleaming in the sunlight. The air hums with the sounds of saws, hammers, and the occasional shouted command, mingling with the scent of sawdust and sea salt.

A diminutive jewel-clad boatswain can handle fixes, repairs, and fines.

Replicas of the various ships on sale are scattered about the gravel yard, their polished hulls and intricate details clearly defined by the sunlight. Beneath a large striped canvas canopy that offers welcome shade, workers polish the vessels while mahogany tables display detailed catalogues of additional ships available for purchase that are filled with illustrations and specifications. The scent of fresh tar and wood polish fills the air. You also see a diminutive jewel-clad boatswain.

Dedicated to repairs, the western edge of the shipyard houses various hulls and ships in different stages of disassembly as they await restoration. Wooden beams and planks lie to one side of organized stacks of wood, while pails filled with nails, wedges, cleats, and screws are arranged within the shade of the surrounding fence. Workers drift back and forth, collecting supplies and returning to their assigned vessel. You also see a jade-haired tattooed ship seller.
