Balance and Frenzy weapons debuted at the February 2024 Duskruin run and are sold in the shop by the same name, Balance and Frenzy. They were created by GM Retser. They are compatible with all weapons except UCS.

Balance and Frenzy can be shifted between an offensive and defensive flare and set of abilities. They have additional customizations, which also vary depending on if the weapon is in Balance or Frenzy mode. Unlocks increase the potency of the flares and abilities.

Tier 1/OTS

At Tier 1, a Balance and Frenzy weapon has the following abilities:
Frenzy Flares: 4 AS / 2 CS
Balance Flares: 4 DS / 2 TD
Double Flares: Chance to double strength 5%
Double Frenzy: 8 AS / 4 CS
Double Balance: 8 DS / 4 TD
Frenzied Fracture: -8 DS / -4 TD and +8 AS / +4 CS
Balance Fracture: -8 AS / -4 CS and +16 DS / +9 TD
Alignment, Frenzy: 8 AS / 4 CS
Alignment, Balance: 8 DS / 4 TD

Analyze

You take a closer look at a scarlet broadsword with a gold hilt.
You analyze the broadsword and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
                                      Balance & Frenzy
 Description: Balance and Frenzy weapons have the ability to be defensive or offensive.
 ALTERATIONS
  The alteration points can be done freely.  Make sure you are comfortable
  doing so prior to trying.  Please still follow the general alteration rules.
  Please stay within the guidelines of the script's theme.  Always have the player
  test their item before releasing them back into the wild.
 LIGHTENING
  Lightening is fine.

Verbs TURN Changes the alignment between Balance or Frenzy. SALUTE Fluff TAP Fluff BOW Fluff Unlocked Abilities Frenzy Flares Increases AS and CS by the following amount scaling with tier: AS: 4 CS: 2 Frenzy flares will accrue a counter per flare. Total Flare Counters: 0/20 Double Flares Chance on flare to double the strength. Double flares will not occur if the flare counter reaches 20/20. Current chance: 5% Cost: 5 Stamina or 5 Mana taking the higher of the two. Alignment Shift Cycles the weapon between balanced and frenzied form providing a brief boost of power. This will remove all of the previous alignment's boosts. The weapon must cycle to the next before cycling back. Cooldown: 2 Minutes Status: Ready Frenzied Alignment Provides a guaranteed double strength flare on the next attack within the next 10 seconds. 8 AS and 4 CS Balanced Alignment Provides a barrier for 15 seconds boosting DS and TD. Barrier Strength: 8 DS and 4 TD Cost: 20 Stamina or 20 Mana taking the higher of the two. Tier 2

At Tier 2, a Balance and Frenzy weapon improves/adds the following abilities: Frenzy Flares: 8 AS / 4 CS
Balance Flares: 8 DS / 4 TD
Double Flares: Chance to double strength 10%
Double Frenzy: 16 AS / 9 CS
Double Balance: 16 DS / 9 TD
Frenzied Fracture: -16 DS / -9 TD and +12 AS / +7 CS
Balance Fracture: -16 AS / -9 CS and +24 DS / +14 TD
Alignment, Frenzy: 16 AS / 9 CS
Alignment, Balance: 16 DS / 9 TD

Balance & Frenzy ability: For 60 seconds you will receive the bonus of BALANCE and FRENZY on flare.
Cost: 20 Stamina OR 20 Mana taking the higher of the two. Cooldown: 5 Minutes

Invigorate ability:
This effect cannot be stacked. This effect can only be present on a player once every 10 minutes. The weapon must be held in the hand for the effect to continue. Cooldown: 10 Minutes
Frenzied Invigorate: Restores 5 Health, 2 stamina, and 1 mana every 5 seconds for 60 seconds. (Will not overfill) 60 Health, 24 Stamina, 12 Mana total.
Balanced Invigorate: Restores 1 Health, 4 stamina, and 2 mana every 5 seconds for 60 seconds. (Will not overfill) 12 Health, 48 Stamina, and 24 Mana total.

Additional Information

Flares

Frenzy Flares

Provides a boost in offense for the current flared attack.

Tier 1: 4 AS / 2 CS
Tier 2: 8 AS / 4 CS
Tier 3: 15 AS / 9 CS
Balance Flares

Provides a boost in defense for 5 seconds (non-stacking) with an internal cooldown of 15 seconds.

Tier 1: 4 DS / 2 TD
Tier 2: 8 DS / 4 TD
Tier 3: 15 DS / 9 TD

Double Flares

The flares have a chance scaling with the tier of the weapon to DOUBLE the strength of the flare.
Cost: 5 stamina or 5 Mana taking the higher of the two.

Tier 1: Chance to double strength 5%
Tier 2: Chance to double strength 10%
Tier 3: Chance to double strength 15%
Double Frenzy

Chance on standard flare to double the AS and CS.

Tier 1: 8 AS / 4 CS
Tier 2: 16 AS / 9 CS
Tier 3: 30 AS / 18 CS
Double Balance

Chance on standard flare to double the DS and TD.

Tier 1: 8 DS / 4 TD
Tier 2: 16 DS / 9 TD
Tier 3: 30 DS / 18 TD

Balance & Frenzy

Available at Tier 2. For 60 seconds you will receive the bonus of BALANCE and FRENZY on flare.
Cost: 20 Stamina OR 20 Mana taking the higher of the two. Cooldown: 5 Minutes

Fracture

Available at Tier 3.
Cost: 20 Stamina OR 20 Mana taking the higher of the two. Cooldown: 15 Minutes

Frenzied & Balance Fracture

Frenzied Fracture

Fractures a piece of the weapon for 60 seconds to sacrifice DS/TD to gain AS/CS

Tier 1: -8 DS / -4 TD and +8 AS / +4 CS
Tier 2: -16 DS / -9 TD and +12 AS / +7 CS
Tier 3: -25 DS / -15 TD and +16 AS / +9 CS
Balance Fracture

Fractures a piece of the weapon for 120 seconds to sacrifice AS/CS to gain DS/TD

Tier 1: -8 AS / -4 CS and +16 DS / +9 TD
Tier 2: -16 AS / -9 CS and +24 DS / +14 TD
Tier 3: -25 AS / -15 CS and +36 DS / +21 TD

Invigorate

Available at Tier 2. Frenzied OR Balanced. This effect cannot be stacked. This effect can only be present on a player once every 10 minutes. The weapon must be held in the hand for the effect to continue.
Cooldown: 10 Minutes

Frenzied Invigorate

Restores 5 Health, 2 stamina, and 1 mana every 5 seconds for 60 seconds. (Will not overfill) 60 Health, 24 Stamina, 12 Mana total.

Balanced Invigorate

Restores 1 Health, 4 stamina, and 2 mana every 5 seconds for 60 seconds. (Will not overfill) 12 Health, 48 Stamina, and 24 Mana total.

Alignment

Allows the weapon to change between balanced and frenzied form. The weapon must cycle to the next before cycling back.
Cooldown: 2 minutes

Alignment, Frenzy

Channels the weapon to be in a frenzy mode. This will remove all balanced abilities. For the next attack (within 15 seconds) you will receive a guaranteed flare at increased strength.

Tier 1: 8 AS / 4 CS
Tier 2: 16 AS / 9 CS
Tier 3: 30 AS / 18 CS
Alignment, Balance

Channels the weapon to be in a balanced mode. This will remove all frenzy abilities. Enables a barrier for 15 seconds providing a bonus based on the tier.

Tier 1: 8 DS / 4 TD
Tier 2: 16 DS / 9 TD
Tier 3: 30 DS / 18 TD
