Nershuul
| |||||||||
Nershuul is a parasitic creature that can attach itself to various living hosts. It has served as Morvule's right hand and also acted independently on behalf of Luukosian interests. During the Griffin Sword Saga's later chapters, it frequently took to the battlefield during invasions on behalf of the Dark Alliance.
Its true form is a small black creature shaped roughly like a hand, with three 'fingers' branching from each hemisphere for a total of six. A number of eyes line the top of its, for what may be termed, 'head', insectoid in nature. A long, prehensile stinger protrudes from its back, and this is the means by which it can communicate, either by forcefully overtaking a living host's body with the stinger or by manipulating a 'fresh' corpse. After attaching itself to a host, Nershuul can very effectively pose as the host without detection.
Nershuul was captured for a time by agents of Watchers of the Eternal Eye, after its most recent host was struck down in Solhaven during one of the Dark Alliance's assaults. During that time, it was questioned by Vaelsoth Inzuniel, who later used Nershuul's recounting to write a lengthy three book volume on the events of the Griffin Sword Saga. Later escaping captivity in Ta'Illistim, it resurfaced in varying capacities in later storylines, eventually lingering again in the Vornavis region during the Ride of the Red Dreamer and the Solhaven Cataclysm. For a time, it used as host Solhaven's own Provost, Paidreg Venquinor.
Its current whereabouts are unknown.
