Gambling kits are highly scripted containers that come with a variety of unlock options, some of which are not necessarily linear in nature. The gambling kit originated with the merchant Gostahl who owned the Albatross gambling boat. Locked gambling kits are still sold on the boat in the Albatross Gift Shop for silvers while gambling kit with varying unlocks are sold at Duskruin in Gamac's Goods.
Gambling kits at their core have a total of three tiers, starting at Tier 0, corresponding to Locked, Partially Unlocked, and Fully Unlocked according to their analyze information. Beyond that, "special features" references a variety of gambling games that can be played with a gambling kit, and is essentially a Tier 3 unlock. In addition, some gambling kits can hold varying amounts of coins inside them weightlessly. Prior to their availability at Duskruin, both "special features" and weightless coin storage were considered "auction" unlocks, however both are now substantially more accessible.
Fully unlocked "auction level" kits have been released that hold 50,000 silvers with two games, and other kits exist that hold various silver quantities in between, some have even been released as spell knowledge items with various spells. Some of the games that might be installed on a gambling kit include Roulette and Adventure Wheel. Tier 2 Gambling kits can unfold into a table that can be placed on the ground. This table can be customized by a merchant.
Tier 0/Locked
Off the shelf verbs include CLOSE and OPEN. The kit cannot be placed on the ground nor changed into a table. In its current state, it can not hold any silvers, and does not have any games. It has special messaging for placing certain types of items inside or retrieving them.AnalyzeYou analyze your red oak case and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.
The creator has also provided the following information:
The red oak case is a Gambling Kit. It isn't unlocked.
You could OPEN and COSE the case.
This item must stay a case or kit of some sort. When altering, keep in mind that the case's messaging references it having a small, large, and secret compartment, a cubbyhole, and a narrow slot. The table (on top) cannot be deepened.

As you peer at the red oak case, you see a small piece of paper containing the rules for roulette and adventure wheel.
Roulette The game of roulette consists of a wheel with 38 stops and a silver ball. Each stop is slotted so that the ball can rest after the wheel spins. The slots are numbered from 1 to 36, with zero and double zero slots as well. Each number has a color assigned to it, either red or black, except for both zero spots.
Adventure Wheel The adventure wheel consists of a wheel with 100 spots, a lever, and a red arrow. Once you turn the lever, the wheel will spin, and once the wheel comes to a stop, the red arrow will point at a symbol on the wheel. There are four types of symbols -- creature, treasure, a jackpot, and the infamous thief. The creature symbols include kobolds, roltons, goblins, orcs, trolls, thraks, krolvin, shan, trali, hisskra, grutik, centaur, burgee, wyverns, minotaurs, elementals, griffins, and undead. The treasure symbols include silvers, gemstones, artifacts, and scrolls. The jackpot of riches and the infamous thief are only a single spot on the wheel.
