'''Eloth-Ra''' was the first permanent settlement of the [[Erithian]]s on the continent of [[Atan Irith]], and the capital of the Erithian nation. The name Eloth-Ra meant "sky home" or "high home" in the Erithian language.


Eloth-Ra was situated high in the northern mountains, within a fertile alpine valley. The valley was protected by a magical barrier that "bended" light and essence. Travelers without knowledge of how to bypass the magic would be subtly redirected around the valley, never becoming aware of its existence.


Oats and buckwheat were the primary crops grown in the region. Domesticated farm animals included goats, sheep, mountain roltons, rabbits, and geese.
Eloth-Ra was selected as the first permanent settlement due to its location in a deep valley, which shielded the Erithians from the worst of the artic storms. As well, it offered green fields suitable for the growing and harvesting of food crops in the summer.

Among the important sites in Eloth-Ra were the Temple of Wisdom, dedicated to honor both [[Lumnis]] and [[Fash'lo'nae]], and the Library of Eloth-Ra, considered one of the greatest depositories of knowledge in the world.
