Thanks for your reply Celtar showing "Sorrow."

Here are some details of my pure coraesine weapon as it has some similarities. There are three pure coraesine weapons in existance, two bastard swords and a longsword. I won mine in an auction and the other two were won in a raffle at the last Spitfire. We were given a choice of (I believe) five different weapons to choose from.

Flares

It has two different flares which happen at different times.

Air Flares

>ambush troll right leg
You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a massive coraesine sword at a hunter troll!
 AS: +282 vs DS: +124 with AvD: +20 + d100 roll: +38 = +216
... and hit for 46 points of damage!
 Right kneecap smashed into pulp.
The hunter troll is knocked to the ground!
 The hunter troll is stunned!
*** A massive vortex of shrapnel-laden air coalesces around a hunter troll! ***
 ... 20 points of damage!
Slash to the hunter troll's chest!
That heart's not broken, it's only scratched.
The vortex carries a hunter troll off to the west!

Many times the air flares are so strong that the target is sent flying into another room.

Double Strike Flares

>ambush tegu right leg
You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a massive coraesine sword at a three-toed tegu!
 AS: +282 vs DS: +135 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +55 = +227
... and hit for 52 points of damage!
 Right kneecap smashed into pulp.
The three-toed tegu squalls loudly as it drops to the ground in agony and favors its
 mangled right hind leg.
 The three-toed tegu is stunned!
You feel the coraesine sword respond to your will, and suddenly it flares up with a blazing white-grey aura! Vicious winds curl around you in a spiraling vortex, increasing your momentum as you let loose a lightning-quick strike!
You swing a massive coraesine sword at a three-toed tegu!
 AS: +282 vs DS: +67 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +32 = +272
... and hit for 72 points of damage!
Hard slash to the three-toed tegu's side!
Right arm no longer available for use.
The three-toed tegu squeals loudly as it cradles its wounded right foreleg.

>ambush tegu right leg
You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a massive coraesine sword at a three-toed tegu!
 AS: +282 vs DS: +158 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +85 = +234
... and hit for 62 points of damage!
Strong slash to the three-toed tegu's right leg!
 Muscles exposed!
 Not a pretty sight.
The three-toed tegu is knocked to the ground!
 AS: +282 vs DS: +89 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +61 = +279
... and hit for 74 points of damage!
Solid strike caves the three-toed tegu's skull in, resulting in instant death!
The three-toed tegu arches its back in a tortured spasm and dies.

My sword is permanently attuned to me. I cannot sell it to another player as no one else can swing the weapon. I have mastered the sword and unlocked all of its abilities which I will show below. The process of mastering the weapon took me about a week or a full level. In the beginning, the weapon backlashed at me with a flare. That happened a couple of times each hunt and killed me about five times total. The weapon also resisted me by refusing to swing...

The sword simply refuses to budge, as if it were aware of your presence and chose not to acknowledge it.

That usually came with a hard roundtime equal to what a successful swing would be. Since the sword now recognizes me as its owner, it has not backlashed or refused to swing since.

The sword has multiple show descriptions and each description tells which power or ability the weapon is currently set to.

Powers

Winds Whisper

>l my sword
You see nothing unusual.
Two bands of sigils are engraved along the length of the blade, intertwining among one another as they twist and shift slowly.
The tiny feathered-shrouded sigil pulses rapidly with a pale white glow.
A wreath of misty thorns continually spiral and twist around the length of the coraesine sword in a twining dance, their tips swept with deep scarlet.

This is set for the beacon ability. Unlimited uses. When I die, the sword tells players in a room I have specified (currently the dais) that I have died and need help. This is how I set it to a room...

>raise my sword
Your coraesine sword pulses rapidly, its surface aglow with slivers of feather-like crackles of white-grey light. You sense its acknowledgement after it dims, the luminous feathers falling to the ground and fading into it after a moment.

This is what the player in that room see when I have died...

You hear a faint, keening cry carried on the wind. Shortly after, a shroud of mist coalesces into a vague apparition of Tayler -- her features blank and expressionless as if she were dead.

* Tayler just bit the dust!

This is what I see while dead...

Your coraesine sword begins to flicker and pulse rapidly, and your vision is swept away by the power of the sword as it reaches desperately toward your designated safehaven...
[Ta'Illistim, Hanging Gardens]
Although the floating platform is suspended well above the ground below, it overflows with abundant plant life. The edges of the dais are brimming with delicate white queen's lace, dark lavender, fragrant rosemary and a variety of other colorful flora. Thick grass underfoot provides an enticingly peaceful resting spot. A thin silk canopy is rolled back to permit an unobstructed view of the starry night sky.a richly finished wooden bench with some stuff on it and a large faenor-chased barrel.

Thorns of the Wind

While on any setting I can engage the thorns ability. Unlimited uses. This power wraps my sword in a shroud of thorns. This protects my sword from being handled by another player or critter. When another player or critter attempts to hold my sword it attacks him/her/it causing great damage to their hands until the weapon is dropped. This is what it looks like...

>drop my sword
You drop a massive coraesine sword wrought with a spiral of incarnadine sigils.
As Neox reaches for the coraesine sword, barely-visible thorns of mist surrounding the sword suddenly react -- each plunging themselves into his hand and spiraling tightly, flaying off his flesh!
 ... 30 points of damage!
 Rapped Neox's knuckles hard!
 Right hand sounds broken.
 He is stunned!

Neox staggers dazedly, but picks up a massive coraesine sword wrought with a spiral of incarnadine sigils.
>
Neox's wrist blossoms trails of crimson as the misty thorns surrounding his sword spiral around it and flay off his flesh!
 ... 35 points of damage!
Jagged slash to Neox's right arm!
Cut clean through at the wrist.
 Need a hand?
 He is stunned!
The sword is knocked to the ground!
>take sword
As you reach for the sword, the shroud of misty white thorns coalescing around it part -- allowing you to hold onto it safely.
You pick up a massive coraesine sword wrought with a spiral of incarnadine sigils.

Several of the misty thorns twisting around Tayler's coraesine sword turn a dark incarnadine, their hazy forms resembling curved fangs.

The misty thorns surrounding Tayler's coraesine sword whirl in a tight spiral.
Tayler's coraesine sword is cast in a pale blue glow as the misty thorns encircling it in a tight vortex pulse and hum with power.
The misty thorns whirl faster around Tayler's coraesine sword, their hazy silhouettes blurring the air around them.

Fury

While on any setting I can engage Fury onto an opponent by waving my sword at them. This unlocks Hand of Tonis. Self recharging with a few charges each day. One of the very nice features with this sword is that it has a natural CS booster which increases as I age. Each time I train my CS casting Fury goes up 5 points without training in spell research.

At level 29, this is what it looks like from my rogue...

>wave sword at neox
You wave your sword at Neox and a swirling vortex of mist lashes outward and coalesces around her!
 CS: +169 - TD: +151 + CvA: +12 + d100: +92 - -5 == +127
 Warding failed!
A wispy hand of air reaches toward Neox and grasps him tightly. The hand squeezes hard, snatching the breath from his lungs.
 Neox is lightly stunned.

Orb

When in the orb setting I can shrink my sword into an orb, then by tapping it I can restore it back into a sword. This provides me with easy storage as the sword has shrunk into a small size and goes from 9 pounds into less than 2 pounds. Unlimited uses. This is what that looks like...

>touch my sword
You run your finger down the coraesine sword's blade, tracing the circumference of the swirling orb-shaped sigil engraved upon its surface. After a moment, the sigil's edges begin to pulse with a pale white glow.

>l my sword
You see nothing unusual.

The swirling orb-shaped sigil pulses rapidly with a pale white glow.
A wreath of misty thorns continually spiral and twist around the length of the coraesine sword in a twining dance, their tips swept with deep scarlet.

>raise my sword
You raise the coraesine sword, causing the swirling orb-shaped sigil engraved upon its blade to flicker rapidly with blue-white light. The glow spreads forth from the sigil until the entire sword appears to be made of nothing more than a bright light. Immediately, the glowing sword curls inward on itself like a current of wind and coalesces into a small orb of coraesine, its glow giving way to the swirled metal.

>glance
You glance down to see a grey-swirled coraesine orb in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.

>weigh my orb
You carefully examine the coraesine orb and determine that the weight is less than 2 pounds.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

>tap my orb
You twirl your finger around the coraesine orb, and it suddenly becomes shrouded in a hazy white light that ripples with undulating waves of power.
After a moment, the coraesine orb lashes outward and forms into a massive coraesine sword wrought with a spiral of incarnadine sigils.

>glance
You glance down to see a massive coraesine sword wrought with a spiral of incarnadine sigils in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.

Tempest

In the Tempest setting I have the ability to cast Call Wind. Unlimited uses as long as I have full mana. This is what it looks like...

>touch my sword
You run your finger down the coraesine sword's blade, tracing the circumference of the grey-blue vortex sigil engraved upon its surface. After a moment, the sigil's edges begin to pulse with a pale white glow.

>raise my sword
You raise your coraesine sword over your head, channeling your power into it as you close your eyes to maintain focus. You feel yourself lifted into the air as a howling gale of wind surrounds you...
A gust of wind tugs at your sleeves. Suddenly, a fierce wind rips through the area, scattering everything in its path and making it difficult to remain standing.
The wind then subsides.

>l my sword
You see nothing unusual.
Two bands of sigils are engraved along the length of the blade, intertwining among one another as they twist and shift slowly.
The grey-white vortex sigil pulses rapidly with a pale white glow.
A wreath of misty thorns continually spiral and twist around the length of the coraesine sword in a twining dance, their tips swept with deep scarlet.

Quickening

When in this setting I am able to cast Haste. Self recharging with a few charges each day. This works just as if a wizard had cast it on me. This is what that looks like...

>touch my sword
You run your finger down the coraesine sword's blade, tracing the circumference of the whorled grey-white sigil engraved upon its surface. After a moment, the sigil's edges begin to pulse with a pale white glow.

>raise my sword
You stab your coraesine sword into the air, and the world seems to shift and blur around the edges of its blade as it fluidly slices upwards. Its edges ripple with a grey-white light, and you feel currents of wind begin to tighten around you, speeding up your movements significantly...
You begin to notice the world slow down around you. Strange.

(A little while later.)
You notice that things have returned to their normal speed.

I love my sword. I have not chosen an appropriate name for it, but seeing those three names of swords the name "Thorn" might be more fitting than me calling it my "bad muthaf@%&a!" Hopefully one day my sword will be famous and considered a legendary artifact as well.
