Summary

 • Magister Cordarius greets everyone in his own jovial way, having come to the mayor's office with some news. First he acknowledges the situation with the Grishom Stone doppelganger killing soldiers in the Hendoran outpost, saying he's written to Breshon and the Hall of Mages taking blame for the incident and explaining that they were good-natured efforts to learn about the enemy and prepare for future conflicts, assuring them he wouldn't let it happen again and apologizing for his oversight. Magister Raelee questions this and he reiterates that it was his miscalculation, but asks if there's another version of the event that she'd wish to be known. She says he was not there (for the incident).
 • Cordarius moves on to say that Judge Renpaw and the town council have gotten quite a few letters. He begins to read one, a love letter from Ysharra--except he's making it up, on a blank page. He continues that some visitors have been demanding Malluch's release...
 • ...but back to the situation with Raelee, she says she's not even under Cordarius' oversight. He says he never said she was, but owned a mess and promised to keep it from happening again. Cordarius says he's sorry if she has daddy issues and can't handle him doing something nice, but winks and says to smile and thank him. She says how dare he; he says he'll make a big mistake and let her cover for him next time. She says he's demeaned her before and the gross disrespect is why people thought she would actually aid them in overthrowing and removing him from the council. He says fair enough and it was momentary disappointment over no gratitude, and apologizes. He says it's not the first time he's angered Magister Raelee and it's an epic tale we'll share with our children one day, like Dennet and Reannah, Cryheart and Athalia, or Hapenlok and his doll.
 • As for the letters, people have demanded Malluch's release, warning that otherwise they'll come for him. Captain Stormyrain says he's under the jurisdiction of the militia and there will be no release unless there's a pardon, a reversal of the trial, or the way he escaped is ascertained and the town prison is considered safe again.
 • With the last news on letters, Cordarius says Judge Renpaw has received a request to review Thadston's capability of being the town marshal. We'll hold a public hearing in a few weeks and Thadston has requested that he be represented by the Faendryl Enclave presenting his defense.
 • Meanwhile, with Grishom slated to do something in two nights, Cordarius has secured extra help; Larsya has agreed (in Breshon's current absence from the outpost) to provide soldiers to control peace, manage crowds, and generally prepare.
 • Falicor asks if we're any closer to identifying who's hiring bandits, and Cordarius says he wasn't aware we were researching that, but will see what he can see. Mayor Leafiara says she'd asked Captain Khylon to have guards scour the Sentoph area for evidence after the first bandit attack, but nothing's turned up and now there's been a second attack. Cordarius says he'll look into it.
 • Cordarius concludes by advising we plan for defense in case Malluch's followers do come for him, since he worries it won't just be citizens, cultists, or sick people, but also golems. Then he leaves, ostensibly to "unruffle some owl feathers."
 • Afterward, in the context of a discussion of why a pardon or mistrial for Malluch was under consideration in light of Praxopius' influence, Lylia and Xorus explain the unlikelihood of the Alchemist's total control given the different approaches of the murderous Malluch Rone and the Thrayzar Rone who primarily incapacitated enemies, and the probability that Malluch already was who he was
 • Meanwhile, Kothos contemplates whether the reason Malluch can't or doesn't attempt to heal many is that it's not him, but the blood--perhaps something similar to what he injected Crux with to keep him from casting magic. Leafi and Thrassus say they saw it was Malluch's own blood from a wound on his palm opening up, but Leafi acknowledges that his blood could have been altered.
 • Goblyn wonders if anyone has tried to kill Malluch since returning; Leafi says no, and neither has he used his blades despite returning them.

Highlights

Cordarius says, "I would advise we also plan for some kind of defense, should they make good on their desire to come for Malluch."
Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Us? Plan?"
Pukk says, "We will post Roblar by the North Gate. Madmountan by the West. And the rest of us can have drinks inside this office."
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Perhaps send someone around to ask questions about Malluch to the townsfolks, see who feels he should be released. Those that do, detain them for further questioning."
Chandrellia softly says, "Find out why they feel that way."
Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "That is pretty good thinking."
Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "Now you are sounding like Hapenlok."
Speaking softly to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "No Hap would say just send meteor swarms at the houses and whoever lives can walk away."

Cordarius Trapped!

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a musty pale blue dress, the seaweed-covered Xayd disk, a great white wolf, a large wolf that is sitting, a cloud greatfang, the Taulramil disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, the Akenna disk, the Guarrin disk, a black-eared red and grey fox that is sitting, the Chandrellia disk, a large acorn, a mistwood serving cart with some stuff on it, some stone benches with some stuff on it and an herbal remedy donation bin.

Also here: Mayor Leafiara, Stormyrain, Kippe, Falicor, Embersoj, Mainz who is lying down, High Lady Maevie, Conquerer of Reim Xayd, Rawdune, Squire Legionnaire Taulramil, Orlicks, Magister Raelee, Birch Guardian Akenna, Guarrin, Lady in Waiting Chandrellia, Lord Nordred

The sky begins to fill with huge clouds, dark and grey on the bottom, pale and white atop, their puffy crowns ascending toward the heavens.

Speaking to Guarrin, Falicor says, "I would have just called you indecisive."

Leafiara musingly says, "Another rainy night, hm."

Xayd says, "My wand."

Akenna sighs, "I guess it is good I put my hair up."

Speaking to Falicor, Guarrin counters, "Prepared."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Raelee mentions, "That was not my doing."

Speaking to Guarrin, Falicor says, "Gonna be another long one, isn't it."

Xayd says, "Might look crazy but I promise they talk back."

Pukk asks, "Where is Sir Shiny?"

Speaking suspiciously to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Away."

Speaking to Falicor, Guarrin says, "Could just be weather."

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Leafiara!"

[General] Cordarius exclaims, "Help! I'm trapped!"

Speaking to Guarrin, Falicor says, "Ayep."

[General] Leafiara slowly asks, "And where would that be?"

[General] Cordarius exclaims, "There's some silk-cushioned chairs! There's some sort of red table the color of a giant cherry! There's a fireplace bordered by bricks!"

Leafiara amusedly says, "Oh."

Speaking to Pukk, Akenna asks, "Why are we joining the Mayor?"

[General] Cordarius thinks, "Oh wait...."

Leafiara recites:

"Heading to my office where Cordarius is!"

Magister Raelee just went east.

Leafiara recites:

"Leaving in 10!"

Lady in Waiting Chandrellia just went east.

Guarrin's group just went east.

You notice Kippe moving stealthily east.

Pukk says, "Because it's raining and Sir Shiny isn't here."

[General] Mongonator thinks, "Sounds comfy."

Leafiara amusedly says, "Or, fine, everyone run off on their own."

Leafiara says, "Embrace the chaos."

[Mayor Leafiara's Office]

Silk-cushioned chairs surround a circular cherry red table toward the back of the room. Plush carpets of fake fur blanket the polished oak floor while myriad painted treats span the office's walls, interrupted by an oversized placard. In a back corner, above a brick fireplace, a mounted stag's head watches vigilantly from a distance over a hazelwood dart board near the entryway. A leaf-shaped window invites outside light toward a drink bar that stands beneath a painting. You also see the Chandrellia disk, the Guarrin disk, the Akenna disk, a black-eared red and grey fox, a basket of sticks and a tiny two-tiered bookshelf.

Also here: Lady in Waiting Chandrellia, Birch Guardian Akenna, Guarrin, Magister Raelee, Magister Cordarius

Bernadette, Yukito, Pukk and Stormyrain followed.

You notice Kippe moving stealthily through a glossy maoral door.

Cordarius begins chuckling at Guarrin!

Cordarius leans on Raelee.

Speaking amiably to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Good eve there."

Cordarius says, "Nah, we're fine."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I don't think Guarrin likes joining you anymore."

Cordarius asks, "We'll have enough elbow rubbing time at the cauldrons later. Am I right?"

Cordarius peers quizzically at Raelee.

Cordarius takes a bite of his green apple.

Warding failed!

Cordarius exclaims, "OOF!"

Cordarius says, "Every time."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara offers, "Well, we've certainly been in better times, but make yourself comfortable as you can."

Raelee squints at Cordarius.

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk exclaims, "So, you're allegic to apples I see!"

Cordarius takes a bite of his green apple.

Cordarius smacks his lips.

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "An apple a day, keeps Cordarius away."

Speaking amusedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "I would think it's more likely to bring him running."

[General] Yukito asks, "Either that or someone in the kitchen has it in for him?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Well, if it kills him...."

Speaking curiously to Cordarius, Leafiara inquires, "Anyway, are you here for some drinks, business, flirting, what?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Yes, all of the above."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Most likely the latter."

Cordarius asks, "Aren't those all the same?"

Leafiara gazes in wonder at her surroundings.

Leafiara starts chortling.

Leafiara concedes, "Fair enough."

Pukk exclaims, "He gets it!"

Chandrellia mutters men.

Cordarius says, "What an exciting few days lately it seems..."

Leafiara wryly says, "That's one way of putting it."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "You have no idea."

[General] Lylia thinks, "We should all enjoy such captivity."

Roelon deeply says, "Such ah horrible place to be trapped aye? Comfort is such torture."

Xorus just came through a glossy maoral door.

Cordarius says, "Unfortunately, due to all of the tension, street fights, and other mischief and mayhem...I've come to officially to declare this land and the town the new Barony of Darkstone."

Cordarius asks, "Too soon?"

Cordarius ducks his head.

Cordarius says, "I kid, I kid."

Cordarius takes a bite of his green apple.

Leafiara amusedly says, "Oh, good, the baron's right here in time too."

Xorus says, "I know how to time an entrance."

Cordarius says, "So a few things..."

Leafiara says, "We're all ears."

Cleanup in Aisle Hendor

Cordarius says, "There was an unfortunate incident the other evening in the Hendoran Outpost."

Leafiara affably says, "At least we know *one* town council member won't attack us."

Cordarius says, "Some soldiers were killed by one of Stone's doppelgangers."

Leafiara reasons, "It wasn't Raelee's fault. I don't think it was reasonable to expect it could come to life after several days of being dead--maybe right after it arrived, but not by that point."

Cordarius says, "I've already sent a letter to Lord Breshon, and I've now sent one to the Hall as well, taking blame for the incident and explaining how our efforts were good natured in trying to learn best about our enemy and anticipate any future conflict we might have and prepare for it."

Leafiara amiably says, "Ah, good, thank you for that."

Lord Kothos's group just came through a glossy maoral door.

Guarrin says, "That's quite kind of you.."

Alvyara surprisedly says, "Cordarius."

Cordarius says, "I assured them, I wouldn't let it happen again, and apologized for my oversight."

Pukk mutters, "Too bad it didn't destroy the outpost..."

Cordarius says, "Kind of rude. Like your face."

Cordarius nods at Pukk.

Cordarius snickers.

Cordarius leans on Raelee.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "Apparently your name is Cordarius."

Cordarius exclaims, "It is!"

Speaking slowly to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "Your... oversight?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk says, "See, I knew I liked you...not really...but hey..."

Cordarius says, "It was a miscalculation on my part and I apologized for the incident."

Cordarius nods at Raelee.

Cordarius says, "We're fine."

Cordarius asks, "Is there another version of that event you'd wish known?"

Cordarius peers quizzically at Raelee.

Cordarius says, "No? Okay then."

Cordarius smiles.

Speaking bluntly to Cordarius, Raelee says, "You were not there."

Cordarius sighs.

Cordarius says, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it cast a spell."

Cordarius shrugs.

Speaking amusedly to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Have you ever known her to be anything but a stickler?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Mebbe he a gobbledanger tooz."

Gutstorm points at Cordarius.

Cordarius says, "Judge Renpaw's also gotten quite a few letters."

Cordarius says, "Along with the town council."

Cordarius says, "Let me find one...."

Alvyara murmurs, "Good."

Cordarius pulls out a small letter and begins to read.

Cordarius clears his throat.

Speaking coolly to Leafiara, Raelee says, "This has absolutely nothing to do with my being 'a stickler'."

Thrassus asks, "What's all this ruckus?"

Speaking curiously to Raelee, Leafiara asks, "What would you like his story to be, then?"

Cordarius says, "I love you Cordarius. Take me. Make me yours. Find me by the tree. Love, Ysharra."

Cordarius says, "Oh wait...wrong letter."

Cordarius says, "Awkward."

Cordarius blushes a glowing shade of red.

Lylia whispers something to Thrassus.

Cordarius snickers.

Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "I am not interested in stories at all."

Lylia says, "Somehow, I have my doubts..."

Cordarius turns the letter around to show you it's blank.

Cordarius says, "Yeah..."

Speaking to Raelee, Leafiara asks, "So you just want him to explain what happened?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk says, "Wow, she's into you. Wait until she gets her spike thorns into you."

Berkana asks, "Well, nothing to stop your fantasies, hmm?"

Speaking quietly to Pukk, Kothos agrees, "I'll stop, I'll stop."

Cordarius says, "So we've gotten quite a few demands. Some visitors, some letters."

Speaking curtly to Leafiara, Raelee says, "This is a conversation for Cordarius and I to have."

Speaking amiably to Raelee, Leafiara relents, "Fair enough."

Cordarius says, "They're demanding Malluch's release."

Cordarius says, "Or they will come for him."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Unless publicly is the only way you are willing to resolve this."

Speaking lightly to Raelee, Leafiara assures, "Was just curious, but of course you have no obligation to say."

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "Shocking."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "You just missed it. Ysharra sent Cordy a letter stating that she loves him and wants him to have her babies."

Alvyara asks, "Who.. who's coming for him?"

Alvyara says, "Besides his precious Blood God."

Lylia asks, "Which 'they,' and on what grounds?"

Cordarius asks, "I'm sorry. What now Raelee?"

Cordarius peers quizzically at Raelee.

Leafiara clarifies, "His followers?"

Cordarius pauses, pretending to put a fake pin and poking the air.

Speaking to Pukk, Kothos asks, "You are familiar with Melikor, I think?"

Cordarius turns an inquisitive ear toward Raelee.

Cordarius asks, "Are you having some concerns over my story to Breshon?"

Speaking to Kothos, Pukk asks, "Who?"

Speaking to Pukk, Kothos asks, "I wonder what you'll dream about when he curses you?"

Cordarius says, "I'm confused..."

Cordarius asks, "Not the first time a woman's been confusing, am I right?"

Cordarius peers quizzically at Pukk.

Pukk agrees with Cordarius.

Cordarius says, "I'm beginning to think it's us."

Pukk exclaims, "Will you stop that!"

Cordarius nods at Pukk.

Speaking to Cordarius, Alvyara asks, "What do you mean by that?"

Pukk exclaims, "I shouldn't agree with you!"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "I am not even under your oversight."

Pukk flails his arms about.

Cordarius says, "I never said you were...."

Speaking warningly to Pukk, Goblyn asks, "Maybe you will not be agreeing, yes?"

Cordarius says, "I owned a mess and promised to keep said mess from happening again."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "He tricked me."

Cordarius says, "I'm sorry if you've got daddy issues and can't handle me doing something nice, but, here I am. So, smile and say thank you."

Cordarius winks at Raelee.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "I am starting to understand how the first time I heard of you, it was being told you were in a bane coffin."

Alvyara whispers something to Kothos.

Speaking coldly to Cordarius, Raelee says, "How... dare you."

Cordarius says, "I'm trying to avoid conflict. You know, part of why I'm here."

Speaking drunkenly to Cordarius, Gutstorm says, "Dankoo."

Gutstorm grunts at Cordarius his thanks.

Speaking deeply to Cordarius, Berost says, "From what I heard ... sorta missed that boat."

Lylia asks, "So, to avoid a conflagration, you tip over a vial of oil and set lamps all around?"

Guarrin whispers something to Akenna.

Raelee walks toward Cordarius.

Cordarius says, "I'll make a big mistake and let you cover for me next time. We'll call it an even trade."

Cordarius nods at Raelee.

Cordarius says, "Now...some letters."

Lylia says, "You could do with some lessons in diplomacy. I could teach you, but I would have to charge."

Speaking cautiously to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "I think maybe you should reserve these sorts of jokes for almost anyone other than the Magister."

Raelee slowly hisses, "The last time you demeaned me so, I recall you apologized... which implies you realized the error of your ways. But clearly your memory is quite short."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "It's so confusing when a imp has a sense of humor."

Cordarius gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Speaking slowly to Cordarius, Raelee hisses, "This, you realize, is why some people in this town thought I would actually aid them in overthrowing you and removing you from the council."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos asks, "Is there a reason you're trying to bait Magister Svala?"

Speaking pointedly to Pukk, Goblyn says, "It is maybe more confusing why there is not... ashes now in this place."

Speaking slowly to Cordarius, Raelee continues, "For even to them, the gross disrespect is palpable."

Cordarius says, "I'm not trying to bait..."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "Look, we understand you are trying to help and Raelee is set in her ways, don't demean her for that, praise her for standing her ground and trying to do what's right."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "She could have left you, you know."

Speaking to Cordarius, Alvyara asks, "I think you're trying to be funny. Is that right?"

Cordarius throws his hands up.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "After that other Magister hoodwinked you."

Cordarius says, "Fair enough."

Cordarius bows to Raelee.

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "I think he is, he just picks the worst audience sometimes."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "We need to capture some kobolds and tie them unto sticks and have Rae and Cordy bash each other senseless with them."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "Much more amusing."

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "And touches on things that aren't funny to them."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alvyara says, "If there's an audience that would find his jokes appropriate, I don't want to know them."

Lylia suggests, "Perhaps there are other conversations that would be more profitable to have...and less inflammatory."

Speaking slowly to Pukk, Goblyn says, "I do not think they will take this method. But it will be funny if they did."

Kothos says, "Mm. I have been told I can rub people the wrong way, but I hope that I mind those words from that point on, not repeat them."

Pukk whispers something to Goblyn.

Kothos says, "I'd have a very lonely Temple if I didn't."

Cordarius says, "Pardon my momentary disappointment at a less than attitude of gratitude I received. My apologies Magister."

Cordarius bows to Raelee.

Cordarius smiles.

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "No."

Falicor asks, "Well, tht went well. Yea?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "I cannot imagine you got what you hoped from that."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk whispers aloud, "I wonder if there is some sort of sexual tension between Cordy and Rae? Would this be why they are always teasing each other?"

Leafiara can offer Pukk only a blank expression.

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "Once or twice is humor."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "It would explain things."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "Past that, it's behavior."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia asks, "Can we get on with this letter?"

Cordarius gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Speaking to Cordarius, Alvyara says, "You know, I think you have potential. But it's coming out in all the wrong directions."

Leafiara lightly says, "I agree, let's advance to other matters."

Cordarius says, "I'll get it figured out eventually."

Alvyara says, "And forgive me if I speak above my place. But sometimes, a man needs to be told."

Leafiara optimistically says, "We can salvage a productive night out of this yet."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia asks, "The letter?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Good luck."

Speaking softly to Alvyara, Razanetika says, "Some men simply cannot learn."

Guarrin asks, "Yes, where were we...demands for Malluch's freedom?"

Speaking to Razanetika, Alvyara says, "Oh, I know one of them."

Lylia says, "That is what I heard, yes."

Speaking to Guarrin, Pukk asks, "You want Malluch free?"

Cordarius says, "It is not the first time I've angered Magister Raelee. It is a story we will share with our children one day. An epic tale to rival that of Dennet and Reannah, or Cryheart and Athalia, or Hapenlok and his doll."

Cordarius snickers.

Alvyara dryly says, "Mhm."

Leafiara offers, "Balley and her scarab."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Told you."

Berkana says, "Wow..."

Lylia flatly says, "Get on with more important business than baiting."

Cordarius nods.

Pukk asks, "Wait...Hapenlok is in love with a doll?"

==

Cordarius says, "The letters."

Speaking in Faendryl, Kothos says something you don't understand.

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "Seriously, is this a school playground for children? Can you please get on with it."

Cordarius says, "We've also had some in person audiences."

Pukk asks, "All the jokes I missed out on?"

Cordarius says, "Many people demanding the release of Malluch."

Cordarius says, "...or as they've warned....they'll come for his release."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "No one here."

Stormyrain says, "Malluch is under the jurisdiction of the militia for now. There will be no release at this point in time. Until and unless there is a pardon, or a reversal of the trial...or the way he escaped is ascertained and the town prison is considered to be safe once again."

Stormyrain folds her arms over her chest.

Cordarius says, "Yeah, well, just passing along that information."

Cordarius shrugs.

Alvyara says, "As much as I think a horde of sick and injured people is a small threat to the jail, I wouldn't like to see it."

Stormyrain shrugs.

Cordarius says, "The last bit of information I've gotten is..."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia asks, "You don't seem to worried one way or other about this, why?"

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "Some of them are far more afflicted than I feared."

Lylia says, "I would be a mere magpie if I were to say it again, but he owes this town and its system of justice another twenty-eight years. Or so."

(Yukito leans forward a bit and carefully and clearly mouths the word, "Who" at Cordarius.)

Cordarius says, "There isn't much I worry about."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "Liar."

Cordarius shrugs.

Speaking confusedly to Kothos, Leafiara asks, "They're still sick? Malluch isn't able to cure them, then?"

Speaking softly to Goblyn, Chandrellia asks, "Can you turn him into a tasty pie?"

Pukk says, "You could always give Malluch over to Lylia. I'm sure she has a bunch of chains, ropes and shackles."

Cordarius says, "The last bit..."

Lylia whispers something to Kothos.

Lylia removes some thick iron shackles from in her wrap.

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain asks, "How could he, when he's in custody?"

Lylia mildly says, "Lies and calumnies, Pukk."

Goblyn whispers something to Chandrellia.

Thadston in Review

Cordarius says, "Judge Renpaw has received a request to review Thadston's capability of being the town marshal."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "But he's been with them for days."

Kothos says, "I am not aware of him using his power on anyone besides those Vlashandra drained."

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "Ah, you mean why did he not before."

Chandrellia whispers something to Goblyn.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Leafiara agrees, "Right..."

Cordarius says, "As such, we'll hold a public hearing if you will, in a few weeks."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me want shum pie."

Cordarius says, "I did however also receive some word from Thadston...."

Goblyn asks, "They are... 'coherent', these words?"

Cordarius says, "And this is going to be news to everyone but...."

Cordarius nods at Goblyn.

Goblyn nods once at Cordarius.

Cordarius says, "He's requested to be represented during his hearing by the Faendryl Enclave, to present his defense."

Lylia smoothly says, "Certainly."

Xorus says, "Very well."

Cordarius says, "So that's a thing now."

Pukk says, "Huh..."

Leafiara says, "Doesn't seem like a problem."

Pukk says, "I did not see that coming."

Leafiara admits, "I actually thought he'd counter-propose that I be reviewed by the council."

Berost deeply says, "They infected with the blue wispy stuff too then."

Lylia says, "It is a matter of law. We have historically been very much a part of the town and yet apart from it. It puts us in a unique position to see the larger scope of matters, if I may say so."

Kothos says, "He speaks your language. I do, as well, poorly. He's far more proficient than I."

Preparations

Cordarius says, "I've also secured some extra help in the coming days. With Breshon gone, Larsya has agreed to provide some imperial soldiers to help us control some peace, manage crowds, and prepare for Grishom's, whatever it is he's doing, in two nights."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Dankoo!"

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "I could see a connection there, past his role in town."

Cordarius says, "So I think that's it."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Your tongue is more eloquent, if slower over each syllable. Perhaps we should practice more."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Verbal battles with the Magister aside, you do tend to exceed expectations in matters like the trial or gathering allies."

Stormyrain sighs slightly and rubs her temples.

Stormyrain mutters under her breath.

Pukk asks, "Wait imp soldiers will be maintaining the peace inside the town?"

Speaking tentatively to Stormyrain, Leafiara asks, "Is something troubling you?"

Kothos whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking flatly to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "No. Everything is perfect."

Lylia lightly says, "Worry not; they shall be amply counterbalanced by Rooks, I have little doubt."

Lylia winks at Pukk.

Chandrellia softly says, "Aw come on not again."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I think she was being sarcastic, but I'm not sure."

Lylia whispers something to Kothos.

Speaking gently to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "What I mean is to ask what's troubling you."

Cordarius says, "Yes, I suppose I should go unruffle some owl feathers." [Raelee had left earlier]

Cordarius asks, "Well ladies and gentlemen and Pukk, any other questions this night?"

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "Thank you. That did reassure me."

Leafiara glances between Cordarius and a pale-faced coppery barn owl.

Leafiara lightly places her hand on the coppery barn owl, which responds by moving his body beneath her hand for a thorough rubbing.

Falicor says, "I have one."

Lylia pets a pale-faced coppery barn owl, which nuzzles her hand softly.

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk says, "Don't try to get on my good side."

Kothos pets a pale-faced coppery barn owl, which nuzzles his hand softly.

Investigations

Falicor asks, "Are we any closer to ascertaining the identity of who is hiring these bandits?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "I'm tired. And somehow the news that Grishom is holding some sort of...whatever it is...had escaped my attention in the midst of everything else going on."

Speaking drunkenly to Goblyn, Gutstorm says, "I bet owlie tashtesh like chicken."

The coppery barn owl hoots at Gutstorm.

The coppery barn owl hoots at Gutstorm.

Speaking sympathetically to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "Ah..."

Cordarius says, "I was not aware we were researching bandits."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Kothos asks, "I understand this is the thing people do, yes?" [he was feeding him]

Cordarius says, "I can see what I can see."

Speaking to Falicor, Lylia says, "I asked Thadston last night; he did not hire them. I believe him in this matter, for numerous reasons."

Leafiara says, "Well... we do still only have Malluch's word that Stone is coming at all."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Oh, I had asked Khylon to send guards to scour the area near the Sentooph for evidence, but nothing's turned up."

Speaking to Leafiara, Lylia says, "I have little doubt that he will be here at some point on errands of his own, but I do not know that he keeps Malluch's schedule foremost in his mind."

Stormyrain says, "...if it has been played up that he is going to appear, he will likely appear. He's very much a fan of the dramatic appearance."

Speaking to Lylia, Falicor says, "Ask him to point me in the right direction, if he has a clue."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Kothos says, "You're easier than the sylvans and Faendryl in my life, then."

Speaking to Lylia, Guarrin says, "Yet someone did, still curious who else had the reason to do so."

Lylia says, "I would like to know as well."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "We've been besieged by bandits on two separate nights now, with no clue what their identity is."

Cordarius nods.

Akenna says, "It was unpleasant being torn apart by prisms and bandits."

Cordarius says, "I'll put my ears, eyes and toes to the ground and try to find out."

Lylia suggests, "I could try to animate a corpse. Sometimes this leads to answers, but not always."

Speaking gratefully to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Thank you."

Pukk says, "If they are bandits just kill em. The adventurers guild likes it when we clear the bandits out."

Falicor says, "Not to mention the slaughter at the wagons."

Speaking to Akenna, Goblyn says, "It did make for nice ways of looking, the prisms."

Cordarius says, "I would advise we also plan for some kind of defense, should they make good on their desire to come for Malluch."

Speaking to a black-eared red and grey fox, Akenna says, "No, not your squirrel, she isn't going to bring it back to life, hush."

Cordarius says, "I worry it will not just be citizens or cultists or sick people wearing masks."

Cordarius says, "I worry it'll be."

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Us? Plan?"

Cordarius says, "Golems."

Goblyn whispers something to the red and grey fox.

Speaking to Akenna, Kothos says, "I've never had anything quite that savage happen to me. I nearly regretted my offer."

Lylia says, "More of the same brigands, I might guess."

Alvyara asks, "Golems? Courtesy of Stone?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Honestly, even if it *is* just his followers, something tells me many of them are stronger than we might want to hope."

Speaking to Alvyara, Lylia says, "Also a possibility."

Alvyara quietly says, "Ah.."

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "Yes, findings with the bloodguards have turned up that they're Stone clones..."

Pukk says, "We will post Roblar by the North Gate. Madmountan by the West. And the rest of us can have drinks inside this office."

Speaking to a black-eared red and grey fox, Kothos says, "Don't be jealous, Phalyn, I doubt this is good for him."

Cordarius exclaims, "Well, that's it for me!"

Kothos feeds a pale-faced coppery barn owl the last of his vanilla ice cream.

Cordarius exclaims, "Goodnight everyone!"

Cordarius takes a bite of his green apple.

Speaking amusedly to Cordarius, Goblyn says, "I do not think it is a good night for everyone."

Cordarius pulls the hood of his robe down over his face, concealing his features.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "I would wish you the same, but I doubt that's in the cards."

Cordarius says, "It will be."

Cordarius winks.

Cordarius says, "I'm a big man, in many ways. Big mouth, big ego, big....well, not too big to you know, smile and be sorry."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Den why ye been hiding fer sho long?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Odd creature that Cordy. He's an imp with a sense of humor...almost Cholenite...almost."

Cordarius waves.

Magister Cordarius just went through a glossy maoral door.

Discussion Afterward

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Lylia says, "My condolences to your companion."

Goblyn exclaims, "He does like to make the stirring of pots!"

Speaking softly to Goblyn, Chandrellia says, "Please make him into a pie."

Speaking drunkenly to Goblyn, Gutstorm says, "You should drop a meteor on himsh."

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Goblyn!"

Speaking to Goblyn, Alvyara says, "Yes, he likes it a little too much."

Kothos says, "Maybe he should try counting his fingers the reasons he gets in trouble before he opens his mouth."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "I just assume he's been around Imperial territories doing what regional envoys do, but..."

Goblyn says, "I do think maybe it will be nicer if Raelee makes him flames. We will maybe put this remains into a pie."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Where we goin?"

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "I have this special ability to get people to join other people."

Chandrellia softly exclaims, "Oohhh a pie flambe!"

Speaking amusedly to Goblyn, Leafiara asks, "Did our herald just volunteer you for a game of Fire in the Sky or something?"

Goblyn baffledly asks, "Everyone is following me why?"

Felita says, "Coz misser Pukk sed sos."

Lylia asks, "Games?"

Speaking to Goblyn, Alvyara says, "You're the leader, now."

Gutstorm sings with jollity to Goblyn:

"Fiyah!"

Speaking sagely to Goblyn, Leafiara says, "Pukk gets everyone in trouble including himself."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk exclaims, "One of these days. I will have everybody join somebody who is about to walk off a cliff...then that will be the best joke ever!"

Akenna says, "A magister pie. It sounds...almost alright."

Leafiara adds, "Especially himself."

Speaking slowly to Leafiara, Goblyn says, "I do not think Raelee is wishing to play this game at this minute."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "We follow who Pukk says, a lot of the time. And Cryheart isn't here."

Lylia says, "No, I doubt tonight is a time for games."

Lylia says, "Considering the entire town was nearly consumed in riots last night."

Speaking eagerly to Pukk, Goblyn exclaims, "I can be taking them to a cliff in some times, yes!"

Pukk exclaims, "Bet you can't do that!"

Speaking drunkenly to Lylia, Gutstorm says, "Shoundsh like a normal day to me."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "How is he?"

Lylia says, "I hope the guards and the militia are refocused on maintaining the town's peace and the justice that was meted out to Malluch months ago."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "We will have to schedule it so they don't suspect a thing."

Leafiara musingly says, "So, given this impending possible attack... an unknown number of his followers are citizens, so we should be ready to detain rather than kill."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Well enough, as arrogant and salty as expected."

Alvyara says, "I'm fading. I think it's time for bed."

Kothos says, "Perhaps the ones who have joined have another reason."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia asks, "May I make a sudgestion Mayor?"

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm says, "Right, cant kill taxpayahsh."

Alvyara says, "I hope you all have a good night."

Speaking amiably to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "Go for it."

Pukk says, "I still don't like that part about imp soldiers helping to maintain order in town."

Kothos says, "A moment, Alvy."

Razanetika softly says, "Oh just kill em all an sort it out later."

Bernadette just left.

Bernadette just arrived.

Speaking to Bernadette, Pukk says, "Welcome back."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Perhaps send someone around to ask questions about Malluch to the townsfolks, see who feels he should be released. Those that do, detain them for further questioning."

Bernadette softly says, "Thanks."

[General] Osloe thinks, "How does Roblar even die in Reim."

Chandrellia softly says, "Find out why they feel that way."

Speaking to Akenna, Goblyn says, "Your fox is maybe very interesting."

Guarrin says, "Time to call it an evening."

Speaking dubiously to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "That seems a bit extreme and likely to be backfire, honestly."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "That is pretty good thinking."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "Now you are sounding like Hapenlok."

Speaking to Goblyn, Akenna says, "His name is Phalyn."

Akenna says, "He's kin."

Lylia says, "I have failed to understand why anyone has felt there is pretext for a pardon or mistrial."

Speaking softly to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "No Hap would say just send meteor swarms at the houses and whoever lives can walk away."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "Because, that's why."

Lylia says, "And no one has yet adequately explained why this option even existed in the minds of --"

Berkana says, "Good night all."

Speaking to Akenna, Goblyn asks, "This does mean anything, this name?"

Bernadette softly says, "Nite."

Speaking to Bernadette, Pukk says, "Good night."

Speaking to Lylia, Leafiara says, "Oh, it's about the question of what degree of influence the Alchemist had over him, and that being unknown information at the time of the triial."

Speaking to Goblyn, Lylia asks, "Forgive me; which name is that?"

Xorus says, "Minor influence at best."

Lylia says, "I see. I could shed some light on that, as could Xorus."

Speaking to Lylia, Goblyn says, "Not a name for you. I was maybe listening for your finishing of your statement."

[General] Falicor thinks, "Accidentally."

Lylia says, "Praxopius had two 'Rones."."

Speaking to Goblyn, Akenna says, "My best friend named him after he kept following me out of Neartofar.."

Leafiara affably says, "Well, if you have further information..."

Speaking to Goblyn, Akenna says, "It means one who loves."

Lylia whispers something to Goblyn.

Speaking decidedly to Akenna, Goblyn says, "It is a good name for this one, then."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Roblar probably died because he was laying down naked, while webbed and all of his arms and legs cut off. Even then, it's only barely possible."

Lylia continues, "Two 'Rones.' One was Malluch; one was Thrayzar."

Speaking to Goblyn, Akenna says, "He's my kin. He chose me."

Lylia asks, "Which one of them killed, and which incapacitated? Which one was a murderous zealot, and which stayed his hand whenever possible?"

Akenna says, "I just sort of let him."

Speaking to Goblyn, Kothos says, "I loaned Xanthium my snake or I'd show her off to you again."

Lylia says, "Malluch was already a zealot. Praxopius merely made him more of what he was. Thrayzar, he could not turn as completely to his own ends because Thrayzar was reluctant to kill the townsfolk."

Speaking to Kothos, Pukk says, "So, what's what you call flirting...loaning her your snake...."

Speaking hopefully to Kothos, Goblyn says, "You will show me in future times, Kothos."

Lylia says, "Malluch reveled in it."

Pukk says, "Good to know."

Falicor says, "It does seem that someone not in control of themselves through no fault of their own might not be held accountable at the same level as one who was in control."

Speaking to Goblyn, Kothos says, "Of course. You and my snake will get along famously."

Lylia says, "Praxopius said as much, but of course my words on that might be biased, so instead I ask you to consider what you saw yourself of our two 'Rones.'"

Speaking in Elven to a black-eared red and grey fox, Akenna asks, "Are you ready for bed?"

Xorus says, "Praxopius told us Malluch was more a 'byproduct of the man in the mask' than anything he did or designed."

Lylia continues, "And if one 'Rone' enjoyed murder..."

Leafiara says, "I do recall him saying that, and I'll admit it would be odd for him to lie by that point considering his plan was a suicidal final mission against the krolvin."

Speaking to Akenna, Lylia says, "It has grown rather late."

Speaking to Akenna, Goblyn says, "You will have a nice night, Akenna. And Phalyn."

Speaking in Elven to Goblyn, Akenna says, "You too, Miss Goblyn."

Kothos asks, "Is there more of a connection between Grishom Stone and the more well-to-do merchants here?"

Lylia says, "He had little to lie about, except when lies or omissions allowed him the greatest possible latitude to accomplish his ends."

Kothos asks, "I mean, Murdos must have had a way to reach out to him, no?"

[General] Thundermin thinks, "Frankly, old farts usually die because we get cocky or lazy."

Speaking softly in Elven to a black-eared red and grey fox, Akenna calls, "Come on, Phalyn."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "I have wondered about that myself."

Speaking to Kothos, Leafiara says, "He was pretty vague on how he got to him."

[General] Flame thinks, "This is true."

Speaking to Kothos, Pukk says, "I have always wondered if Kilron was related to Stone."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "He was one of their number, for a time, yes?"

Lylia says, "We do not yet know how Malluch eluded the justice the citizenry and Judge Renpaw duly meted out to him."

Leafiara admits, "At this point I almost picture him hiring people to stand outside the Deadfall and shout. It's hard to make sense of it."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "He was. Malluch even sought a position on the Town Council at one point."

Leafiara says, "Puptilian turned hm down, so he went on a rampage against just about the most opposite mayor to Puptilian."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Pukk says, "I know next year when you're mayor, you will have all this cleaned up in no time."

Kothos says, "The wealthy often play by different rules, and it makes no difference to them what happens to the town officials and authorities and other such restrictions."

Goblyn glances at a pale-faced coppery barn owl.

Goblyn laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement from Pukk.

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "If Owlie runs, it will be unopposed."

Roelon deeply asks, "Much the ponder and prepare fir. Be well all, aye?"

Lylia says, "Indeed. Malluch was always a child of privilege, and I believe he was stunned to his core to see a Town Council seat could not simply be bought for him."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "If Owlie doesn't run, I might run and tell everybody to not vote for anybody."

Speaking to Pukk, Goblyn says, "You are funny, Pukk."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Makes him sound like Thadston's son, really, from what you've told me."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Funny lookin...."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "It's the Cholen in me."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "Or that really really bad fish I ate."

Lylia muses, "I once thought Malluch similar to Disean, but I believe now that Disean is the more innocent in many ways. More tractable, more biddable."

Speaking to Kothos, Falicor says, "They do seem to be 2 birds of a feather..."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "The privilege in Malluch's background may make him more prone to manipulation. Feeling like he should get his due."

Pukk asks, "Wait...when did we start talking about birds other than Owlie?"

Speaking musingly to Kothos, Leafiara agrees, "Interesting thought."

Lylia says, "Perhaps, but by Praxopius' account, he needed very little manipulation to become a murderous zealot. And his hatred for Cruxophim was well known."

Lylia says, "He also sought to kill Xorus."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Owlie isnt a bird, he ish fasht food."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "Why?"

Lylia says, "I managed to ward him off from that mad course of action, but nothing would sway him from going after Cruxophim."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "A lot of people hate Cruxophim. That is what makes him so likable."

Speaking confusedly to Pukk, Leafiara asks, "Who hates Crux?"

Leafiara says, "He's one of the most likable folks in town."

Kothos says, "Malluch did, according to Lylia here."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Hapen, Faerinn and a couple others I don't bother to remember."

Leafiara says, "Yep, one person."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "I don't think Hap hates Crux at all. Sometimes he considers him the best solution to various problems."

Lylia says, "He had a list of names. Xorus' was one of them. One of the ones at the top."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I hear it all the time. Hapenlok says, 'I hate you.'"

Xorus says, "Praxopius had no interest in a nonsensical unending war against darkness."

Thrassus says, "Hapenlok says that to everyone though."

Speaking to Thrassus, Pukk says, "Oh yeah."

Leafiara says, "I forget who else Malluch pursued, but among them were Madmountan and Marijka."

Goblyn raises her hand.

Speaking curiously to Goblyn, Leafiara asks, "Yes?"

Goblyn exclaims, "He did make to throw me off of a building!"

Speaking amusedly to Goblyn, Leafiara says, "Oh, that's true, I'd forgotten."

Kothos says, "I heard about that."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk asks, "To see if you could fly?"

Leafiara says, "Little did he know you probably do that sort of thing for fun."

Goblyn dreamily says, "This will have made a very nice stain in the ground."

Lylia says, "He pursued all of these people in ways that Thrayzar never did, as 'Rone.'"

Lylia says, "So if we are going to assume that Praxopius exerted control over their minds, it clearly was not total."

Speaking to Goblyn, Pukk says, "Still have that option of tying you or me to a ballista and firing it and see where we land."

Speaking to Leafiara, Goblyn says, "It is maybe what he did see as... corruption and rot, where 'justice' as this living call it was not what he did see it to be."

Lylia says, "Nothing could induce Thrayzar to be a hunting dog and kill where his master sent him. Nor, I believe, did Malluch. He killed whom he chose."

Speaking thoughtfully to Leafiara, Goblyn adds, "He is also not right in his head."

Speaking to Goblyn, Leafiara agrees, "Now that's for sure."

Kothos asks, "Did he have anything on his hands, the night he healed Alvy, and the others?"

Kothos asks, "Or just the blood we saw?"

Kothos says, "I cannot recall."

Thrassus says, "Just the blood."

Leafiara says, "Nothing else that I recall either."

Lylia says, "I do not recall either, but -- no, no gauntlets. No tools that I could see."

Kothos says, "I cannot help but wonder if the reason he can't or does not attempt to heal anyone else is because it's not him doing it. It's the blood."

Kothos says, "And it's more like..."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "Youd told me that he once injected Cruxophim with something that kept him from casting magic, or healing, yes?"

Lylia murmurs, "That would make a certain amount of sense. Stone has healed others; I have seen that. The medium through which he did so also involved blood."

Leafiara musingly says, "Or maybe similar to the blood that kept regenerating the bloodguard in the outpost."

Lylia replies, "He did."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Perhaps something like that disrupted Vlashandra's curse."

Falicor asks, "Whose blood?"

Speaking to Falicor, Leafiara says, "Malluch's."

Pukk exclaims, "Alright everybody. I'm going to go to sleep and dream about robbing the bank!"

Pukk says, "Good night."

Lylia says, "Rest well."

Leafiara says, "He cut open his palm, then rubbed the blood on the faces of those affected by Vlashandra's rituals."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kothos asks, "Do we know it was his, though? Or just on his hands?"

Speaking to Gutstorm, Pukk says, "Oh you."

Speaking slowly to Leafiara, Goblyn asks, "This is how he did this healing?"

Speaking to Kothos, Leafiara says, "He cut open his palm, but it's possible the knife was... treated, somehow." [mistaken memory mixing this up with Vlashandra; Malluch didn't cut his palm so much as, rather, a wound just opened up]

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Yuck."

Goblyn curiously says, "Malluch is maybe more interesting now, in this time."

Speaking to Goblyn, Kothos says, "You look like you have an idea, pretty."

Thrassus says, "It was his, I saw the wound open on his hand similar to other blood magic practitioners."

Speaking amusedly to Kothos, Goblyn says, "I do have many ideas in all times."

Falicor says, "It seems someone could just go get some of that blood of his to test."

Kothos asks, "Is it possible he needs some component or presence for it to work? Even Stone himself?"

Leafiara says, "But Kothos does raise an interesting point... just because the blood was his doesn't mean something hasn't been done to it."

Goblyn asks, "Anyone has seen this healing he does when he does -not- have this blood for using?"

Kothos says, "We do know he was here, not long ago, to collect Glethad."

Speaking to Goblyn, Leafiara admits, "No, we've only seen him heal four people and it was exactly the same method."

Leafiara adds, "And the same condition, for that matter."

Falicor says, "Sounds more like a grift to me."

Leafiara says, "Serious questions have been raised about what his capabilities even are."

Speaking curiously to Falicor, Leafiara asks, "Can you elaborate on that?"

Speaking to Goblyn, Kothos says, "We could drain him and see what happens."

Thrassus says, "It was blood magic dispelling the effects of blood magic, simple as that."

Speaking to Falicor, Leafiara says, "To clarify, the condition being healed was that Vlashandra had drained some vitality from a few of our adventurers."

Falicor says, "It is odd that is was always the same condition."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia asks, "Are the acolytes and followers settled comfortably at the temple?"

Kothos says, "If he's nothing more than a vessel for Stone's power, it should provoke a response."

Falicor says, "If you know the poison, for example, the antidote can be easily found."

Leafiara says, "Alvyara was impressed with the healing. Balley and Alisette, not so much. And Maelkyth--well, he's too crazy to even say what he thought."

Falicor says, "This blood angle is very theatric."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kothos says, "Maybe what he had in his blood was specific to that problem."

Leafiara says, "Balley herself is a blood mage, and Alisette's her adopted daughter, so that might have been why they weren't as impressed. But I'd ask them for more details, in case I'm wrong."

Speaking amusedly to Falicor, Goblyn asks, "Grishom Stone is maybe very theatric, yes?"

Chandrellia softly admits, "I admit I was happy he did it at first he had healed my mama and sissy, but then I saw him for who he really was and I wasnt impressed."

Speaking to Goblyn, Falicor says, "I find the villainous types to tend towards the Dramatic."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Xanthium tried to burst the eardrums of one of the bloodguards."

Speaking slowly to Falicor, Goblyn says, "It is maybe... not certain if he is this 'villanous'."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Just to see if it could be done."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Didn't even blink."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Nor did her rather potent high E have an effect."

Speaking to Falicor, Goblyn says, "He does seek the knowledge for this specific goals he does have. Maybe some do not like his methods."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "But, they have not interfered with the Temple's activities. They just stand there. Like new additions to the courtyard sculptures."

Leafiara muses, "It seems like most of the bloodguards are immune to magic, but..."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Whatever they are, they are not susceptible to some of the same attacks that would incapacitate or kill others. And after seeing them rise and rise again, from blood and back to blood again, I do not think they are as easily dispatched as Thadston had hoped with his ill-starred operation."

Leafiara says, "The one in the outpost was vulnerable at first, but then became immune after it came back enough times."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "And full sentences."

Leafiara says, "I suppose they evolve."

Kothos says, "Many of the sick are reticent to have our Sister Nock examine them. But, on the whole they are all from extreme poverty and strain."

Kothos says, "I am not sure they've had much experience with healers, before."

Falicor says, "It does seem Thadston would have had the barest idea of their capabilities ahead of time. He is well known as an exceedingly capable fighter."

Speaking to Falicor, Leafiara says, "Fighter yes, strategist less so."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "How did you all manage to stop the one in the Outpost?"

Lylia says, "With due respect to Thadston's fighting prowess, sometimes he takes actions that he knows will not have the desired result."

Lylia says, "Such as striking down Glethad."

Chandrellia softly mutters, "Hot head, a genious."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Perhaps he was more after a response, than efficacy."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "A poem writ in a meter you'd hear."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Exhausted it of resources. There were no more corpses from which it could spring like moss from mortar in a stone wall."

Lylia says, "A 'Stone' wall, as it were."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Good to know. In case I need to do the same."

Goblyn says, "I do have a question, maybe."

Leafiara says, "And it took a couple dozen of us to accomplish that against just one of them, which is why Thadston's move was reckless at best."

Speaking quietly to Lylia, Kothos says, "I could not in good faith let those people stay in harm's way. My faith, at any rate."

Leafiara says, "But it's true he might have had some other plan in mind beyond just a victory."

Speaking curiously to Goblyn, Leafiara asks, "Yes?"

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "But I do worry what will happen if what Malluch predicts is true."

Goblyn curiously asks, "Anyone has tried to remove Malluch's life in this time that he has returned?"

Falicor asks, "I must find myself a cool drink in a dark place. Have a good night...morning?"

Speaking to Goblyn, Leafiara muses, "Mm... not that I know of."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "That Grishom Stone will come to Her Temple to collect them."

Falicor says, "Fight well."

Speaking to Goblyn, Leafiara adds, "He hasn't taken up arms ei--well, rather, he's drawn his blades but never used them since returning."

Speaking quietly to Kothos, Lylia asks, "What will you do if and when he does?"

Chandrellia softly says, "Excuse me a moment."

Speaking to Goblyn, Leafiara reasons, "So it hasn't come to that, as far as attacking him."

Goblyn whispers something to Kothos.

Speaking quietly to Lylia, Kothos says, "My place is in Her Temple. I will die there, I assume."

Leafiara muses, "Which is odd considering how excessively violent he was before."

Goblyn says, "I will maybe have questions in some short time. But in this time right now, I will be seeing to some things."

Kothos whispers something to Lylia.

Lylia says, "I doubt it is necessary to die. He may even thank you."

Speaking to Goblyn, Lylia says, "Ask me anything, my dear, at any time."

Goblyn cheerfully exclaims, "Everyone will have a nice night!"

Inky black liquid seeps out from under Goblyn's feet and the tips of her fingers, coiling around and consuming her until she is no longer visible. The liquid seems to shudder, then vanishes.

Thrassus says, "Indeed. I'd say if nobody does anything rash such as attacking him or his followers, he'll gather them up and leave most likely."

Leafiara says, "Someone will. It's just a question of who and how many."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Kothos says, "Tell Magister Svala to keep her anger."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Kothos says, "It'll serve her well not to forget false apologies. I suspect she knows that Cordarius doesn't like it when his charm is so failing."

Lylia softly says, "Be well."

The coppery barn owl hoots at Kothos.

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "I am a blessed man. How could I not be?"

Lylia says, "Good point."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Kothos says, "Beg someone else for more ice cream."

Lylia removes some vanilla ice cream sprinkled with rainbow-colored sugar from on a circular cherry red table.

Lylia feeds a pale-faced coppery barn owl a bite of her vanilla ice cream.

Lylia says, "You hardly need to beg."

The coppery barn owl ruffles his feathers, sending one lone pinion twirling through the air and onto the ground.

Lylia picks up an owl feather.

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Lylia says, "Thank you."
