The Clockwerke Solutions Pocketwatch is a highly customizeable scripted pocketwatch. It was first released at the February 2024 Duskruin run and are sold in the shop by the same name, Clockwerke Solutions, during the Yaer of the Clockwerke Devices. Depending on what clothing nouns are worn with the pocketwatch, its description when worn will adjust to indicate how it is attached to a bodice, corst, vest, or waistcoat.

The pocketwatch comes off the shelf with four verbs. It can show the wearer the time, and it can be worn attached to clothing in different ways.

Analyze

You analyze your round bronze pocketwatch and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
Created in 5124 at the precise stroke of midnight on Lormesta the 1st, a filligreed round bronze pocketwatch is a timepiece in honor of the "Year of the Clockwerke Devices."

The pocketwatch is currently tier 1 of 3 and can only be unlocked via an unlock certificate at Duskruin.

It has access to the following verbs:
 CLOSE, GAZE (provides time), LOOK, OPEN, REMOVE, and WEAR.

It has the following available customizations:
Chain Article: herringbone
Chain Material: copper
Lid Design: an embellished filigree whorl
Shape of pocketwatch: round
Interior Lid Item (base): a scrap of parchment

When worn, the pocketwatch will transform in the follow ways:
With a bodice/corset: (noun is updated to "chain") a stay-pinned braided herringbone chain discreetly tucked into a (bodice/corset) pocket
With a vest or waistcoat: (noun is updated to "chain") a button-latched looping herringbone chain attached to a pocket-tucked timepiece
If no vest/waistcoat or bodice/corset are worn, then it becomes a neckworn item: a copper-strung clockwork locket

In Locket & Pocketwatch form, the timepiece may have a long description.

Usage

Verb First Third
CLOSE You curl your fingertips across the round bronze pocketwatch, a soft *click* sounding from it as you close a lid with an embellished filigree whorl over the clear glass of the timepiece. He breathes in slowly as he concentrates, nodding to himself as he lowers his hand.
TURN Resting the round bronze pocketwatch in your palm with an embellished filigree whorl lid face up, you pull the crown one click away from the timepiece's rim. You wind the knob to the point of subtle resistance, then press the crown down with the pad of your thumb. Please note: The pocketwatch is precise.  It will set an alarm down to the seconds, though it only asks for the alarm in minutes or hours.  It does not have the ability to set an alarm for a specific time.

You quickly *click* the lid closed, satisfied with your reminder. PUSH With your round bronze pocketwatch in hand, you gently press the crown, revealing the clear glass contained within. As you tilt the timepiece towards you, you note that it is 10:06 AM by the elven standard time. Firstperson gazes around the area as he focuses his attention upon his round bronze pocketwatch. He gently presses the crown as he tilts the timepiece towards him.

WHISPER (open) Tracing your fingertips across the bronze bevel of your pocketwatch, you bring the timepiece to your lips as you quietly murmur a reminder to set an alarm so that you can complete your tasks. Interactions

  • Each verb interacts differently when worn and based on what form it is in when worn (ie: chain, locket)
  • OPEN/CLOSE affect some of the verbs

Alarm

  • Alarm can not exceed 24 hours.
  • Alarm syntax is as follows:
WHISPER my pocketwatch ALARM # {minutes}
Note: Minutes = 1-60 only. Hours = 2-24 only.)

When the alarm sounds, it will appear as so:

Rising out of your pocketwatch, the image of a miniaturized ethereal soldier materializes scant inches above your pocketwatch and salutes you before he announces, "Your alarm for 10:13 AM elven standard is issuing.  Please take note as it won't go off again." Just as swiftly as he appeared, he also disappears.
