Courtyard

[Harbor Hideaway, Courtyard]
Blue skies open above this square courtyard buttressed on either side by the colorful walls of neighboring structures. Cobblestones circle outward from a central fountain, providing a paved surface between a beaded curtain and a wrought iron gate. Dense foliage thrives in the corners of this secluded sanctuary.
Obvious paths: out

>look cobblestones

These square cobblestones with rounded edges are glazed dark blue and turquoise. Some are chipped and cracked in places, revealing the dark grey stone underneath. The lighter stones radiate out from the fountain to end at a wide trim of dark stones that frame the edge of the courtyard.

>look at fountain

Occupying the center of the small courtyard, this fountain is round with a low, wide edge large enough to sit on. From its center, a sculpture presides over the courtyard just above eye level atop a fluted pedestal. Crystal clear water burbles down from the sculpture into the fountain's wide circular basin.

>look sculpture

This pearly white granite sculpture of a quarter scale young woman stands atop a fluted white pedestal. Life-like curls of hair cascade down her back and a thin gown falls away from her form to gather at her feet, her toes just visible from under the folds. She bears the form of a young man in a loincloth, his eyes closed as if asleep, as crystal clear water dribbles heavily from her eyes and down her body, burbling into the fountain's basin.

>sit on edge

You find an empty space along the fountain's edge then have a seat to soak in the serene atmosphere.

Veranda

[Harbor Hideaway, Veranda]
Dense palms flank both sides of this spacious covered veranda contained by a wrought iron gate in an abutting wall and the front of a teak-paneled bungalow. Hanging from a slatted pergola to the right of the structure's entry are the long tubes of a windchime gently swaying in the air. Darkly stained wood planks free from debris provide a stable platform on which a nearby wicker chair sits facing a bench swing.
Obvious paths: none

>look palms

A dense thicket of jungle foliage rises on either side of the veranda. A mix of dense palms, ferns, and bamboo create a visual barrier, though you think you can spy a path through them.

>look gate

This black wrought iron gate is no larger than a regular doorway on a yellow painted wall. It is difficult to see what lies beyond as overgrown vines have interwoven themselves throughout the iron bars, obscuring the view.

>look bungalow

Nestled into the surrounding jungle this solid structure offers a secluded refuge from both the elements and the well trodden path. The architect forsook embellishment for durability, using finished teak panels fit seamlessly together across the faces of the cubical building accessed by a dark framed entry. Heavy teak shutters are drawn from an open window dressed with pale gauze curtains that dance in the breeze to allow occasional glimpses of the bungalow's spacious interior.

>push windchime

Using your forefinger, you push one of the tubes of the windchime into a wooden disk hanging at its center, creating a low tone that reverberates through the air.

>touch windchime

You brush your hand along the tubes of the windchime, creating a melodic cacophony that echoes through the area.

>tap windchime

You tap one of the tubes on the windchime, creating a pleasing tone.

>go palms

Using your arm, you push aside the dense palms to access a hidden path along the side of the bungalow.

Terrace

[Harbor Hideaway, Terrace]
The evening sky opens up above this secluded poolside terrace enclosed by thriving jungle vegetation. Flagstones pave the ground between the backdoor of a teak paneled bungalow framed by palms and a sizable pool of dark blue water. Rattan chairs lounge around a large circular table at the center and a grill-topped brick firepit has been built at the edge of the flagstones accompanied by a modest teak bar.
Obvious exits: none

>look on firepit

This ample firepit has been built into a brick-walled base that stands waist high. Mortar firmly holds the grey bricks together to contain any fire within. A steel grill has been laid over the top, creating the perfect place to roast food over an open flame. A box of tinder on the ground beside it offers dry kindling to light the fire with. Laying on the grill are some grilled barbecued ribs, a grilled buttery lobster claw, a grilled ear of corn, some spicy grilled shrimp, and a grilled peach.

>look bar

Teak panels similar to those around the faces of the bungalow are used to make this modest bar that stands elbow high. A curved edge of rosewood provides a comfortable place to lean into the bar while enjoying the atmosphere of the terrace with a favorite beverage. Atop the polished surface is a stein of cold golden ale and a tall glass of raspberry lemonade.

>go pool

You take a running leap off the terrace into the pool, splashing water everywhere!

Pool

[Harbor Hideaway, Pool]
The celestial heavens open up over this secluded lagoon on the edge of a flagstone terrace surrounded by thick palms and jungle ferns. This tranquil pool has been lined with dark blue tiles below the surface that have an overall darkening effect while the water itself is crystal clear. A teak paneled bungalow rises above this body of water and the thick jungle foliage that surrounds it.
Obvious exits: none

>go terrace

Placing both hands on the edge of the pool you push off the bottom with your legs to lift yourself out of the water onto the terrace.

Main Room

[Harbor Hideaway, Bungalow]
Square in layout, tall in construction, numerous open windows with pale gauze curtains allow for fresh evening air to fill this spacious yet cozy dwelling. Dominating one dark grey wall is a flagstone hearth surrounded by a plush couch, a low table, and a plump chair on a sunken carpeted floor. Tucked into one corner, behind a ladder that leads up to a generous loft overhead, is a glass-topped case. An entry opens out to a veranda, and a terrace can be seen through a backdoor.
Obvious exits: none

>look hearth

A wide flagstone hearth has been set back into the wall allowing smoke to vent through a chimney outside the structure. An iron arm on a hinge attached to the blackened inner wall folds out to handle pots for cooking over the open flames. Running along the top of the rectangular flagstone face that surrounds the hearth is a long teak mantle. A basket of wooden sticks sits nearby to replenish the flames when needed and a blackened steel canister is nearby to handle any refuse.

Bedroom

[Harbor Hideaway, Loft]
Overlooking the living space below, this elevated loft is primarily occupied by a platform bed, with a tall full-length mirror standing next to an antique armoire on one side, and a rosewood chair with a round nightstand on the other. Gauze curtained windows around the four dark grey walls afford a view above the surrounding jungle canopy. The top of a ladder pokes its shoulders above the edge of the carpet covered floor.
Obvious exits: none

>look bed

A simple teak frame contains the various cushions and bedclothes of this low sleeping area. A puffy dark blue quilt covering some soft white cotton sheets has been neatly tucked between the mattress' and frame's edges.

>look armoire

A dark patina in the russet varnished surface of this armoire hints at this piece's age. At eye level height and half as wide across, it promises to hold an entire, modest wardrobe. The facing double doors have been intricately carved with a repeating, circular vine pattern from top to bottom. It stands on stubby, black steel clawed feet.

>look on nightstand

On the round nightstand you see a floating round white candle, a washcloth and a wash basin.

>look window

(looking out the window provides the following room view below)

Jungle Canopy View

[Mist Habor, Jungle Canopy]
The tops of jungle trees spread out around the bungalow, a few neighboring shop roofs peeking through the dense vegetation. To the northwest the Mist Harbor lighthouse stands tall, a familiar beacon for all to see, while to the east the four towers of the wizard's guild castle can be seen flying their standards.
