by Leafiara Autumnwind of the TownCrier
Summary
- Rodnay's wound from when the militiaman shot him and he forgives the desperate man, but agrees to identify him after Stormyrain asks so that she can follow up with him.
- Rodnay says that echoes of Reannah's mind still exist in Shinann and that it may pass in time or not. He doesn't know if he can undo what Quinshon did, but says he'll try as he advances in his evolution.
- Shinann seems to flip between her own personality and Reannah's; as Shinann she experiences blackouts and has removed herself from militia duty for the time.
- Rodnay goes to live in Melgorehn's Reach, as the garden cannot sustain him anymore, but says that he will never be far and will come if called for. Before he leaves, he fields a few questions and explains that Quinshon has been wounded but still lives, that Raznel will return to herald in the blood god, and that he'll protect the Reach from those who seek to use its power.
Log
Rodnay's Attacker
[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep.
A voice in your mind says, "Hello."
A voice in your mind says, "Where?"
Briefly amidst the falling snow, a brown-robed blue skinned boy floats up into view, and descends near the base of Melgorehn's Reach iin the shadow near the lake.
[travel time]
[Melgorehn's Reach, The Shadow]
You are in a grassy area which is presently darkened by the shadow of a peculiar mountain jutting from the ground. It is unusual in the fact that no other mountains exist in this area, and you can remember a time when there certainly wasn't one here. You also see a rolton, a reinforced wooden defense tower and a broad path.
Rodnay holds out his hand, watching the snow fall on his fingers.
Rodnay quietly says, "Hello."
Rodnay removes a woven brown robe from his shoulders.
Rodnay looks down at his side, where no wound remains.
Rodnay pulls back on his robe.
Shinann smiles.
Rodnay quietly says, "I am okay."
Shinann says, "Good evening."
Speaking gently to Rodnay, Stormyrain asks, "Can you identify the one who shot you?"
Rodnay nods at Stormyrain.
Shinann says, "Such a pretty lake."
Shinann smiles.
Rodnay quietly says, "But I will not."
Speaking to Stormyrain, Shinann says, "Hello Captain."
Rodnay quietly says, "He was afraid, and thought he was protecting his family."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Shinann says, "Hello, Mayor."
Rodnay quietly says, "I forgive him."
Shinann curtsies to Cruxophim.
Rodnay quietly says, "There is also forgiveness."
Shinann says, "Magister."
Speaking gently to Rodnay, Stormyrain says, "I understand. Mayhaps you could tell me so I might be able to follow up with the member of the militia and take the opportunity for a bit more training? We can't have militiamen afraid--and taking action like that."
Shinann smiles at Raelee.
Speaking to Shinann, Ysharra says, "Hello, Shinann."
Rodnay nods at Stormyrain.
Rodnay quietly says, "Indeed."
Shinann gives Ysharra a rather puzzled look.
Rodnay whispers something to Stormyrain.
The Lingering Reannah
Rodnay glances at Shinann.
Rodnay quietly asks, "Reannah?"
Kayse nods once at Rodnay.
Shinann asks, "Yes?"
Shinann smiles at Rodnay.
Rodnay quietly says, "No, Shinann. Odd. The other lingers."
Speaking quietly to Rodnay, Kayse says, "I was hoping you could...help."
Shinann gazes dazedly at her surroundings.
Rodnay peers quizzically at Kayse.
Shinann asks, "What are we doing here?"
Kayse slowly asks, "I left a note for you, did you receive it?"
Speaking curiously to Rodnay, Cruxophim speculates, "I suspect the damage may not be permanent, one hopes... would you concur with that..?"
Kayse glances at Rodnay.
Speaking cautiously to Shinann, you acknowledge, "Meeting with a friend."
Rodnay quietly says, "No."
Kayse nods rhythmically.
Rodnay peers quizzically at Cruxophim.
Rodnay quietly asks, "Damage?"
Shinann asks, "Who are you talking about?"
Cruxophim glances meaningfully at Shinann.
Shinann says, "Look... I know I got hit on the head or something."
Speaking tiredly to Rodnay, Kayse explains, "I wanted to know if you could link our minds and remind her of who she is with memories we both have."
Shinann says, "I removed myself from duty for now."
Rodnay quietly says, "Her mind is broken."
Speaking to Rodnay, Kayse says, "Or somehow get Reannah's mind to leave..."
Kayse turns to face Shinann.
Kayse shows Shinann her cloth-bound notebook.
Speaking curiously to Shinann, Kayse says, "That is your hand writing..."
Rodnay quietly says, "If their ritual had been fully successful, Shinann would be no more, replaced entirely by Reannah."
Speaking to Rodnay, Shinann says, "No... I got hit on the head."
Kayse nods understandingly at Rodnay.
Shinann says, "I think..."
Rodnay quietly says, "Reannah is dead, but echoes of her mind exist in you."
Rodnay points at Shinann.
Speaking patiently to Rodnay, Kayse asks, "Can we not fix it?"
Shinann blinks at Rodnay.
Shinann says, "I am having blackouts."
Rodnay quietly says, "In time it may pass."
Rodnay quietly says, "Or exist forever."
Speaking bluntly to Rodnay, Kayse asks, "May?"
Rodnay quietly says, "I do not know if I am capable of repairing what the black shaman did."
Shinann ponders.
Kayse glances away.
Speaking firmly to Rodnay, Kayse asks, "Can you try, please?"
Speaking to Rodnay, Kiske asks, "Could you just...nudge things along in the Shinann direction though?"
Rodnay quietly says, "It is not so simple."
(Shinann rubs her head.)
Shinann smiles.
Rodnay quietly says, "I will see what can be done. Perhaps along my evolution."
Kayse frowns.
(Kayse slams her cloth-bound notebook shut.)
Kayse put a thin cloth-bound notebook in her oval vanity case.
Shinann gazes up into the sky.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Shinann says, "My husband is trying."
Shinann nods at Cruxophim.
Speaking carefully to Shinann, Cruxophim notes, "I see."
Rodnay gazes in wonder at his surroundings.
Rodnay quietly says, "They are gone."
Rodnay quietly says, "It feels...nice."
Kabira asks, "Who is they?"
Shinann says, "I just love the snow. We never get it at home."
Shinann smiles.
Rodnay quietly says, "The Kestrels."
Speaking to Rodnay, Shinann asks, "What about us?"
Kayse glances at Shinann.
Speaking frankly to Rodnay, you admit, "I miss Cyph, though. And Drandea, though she wasn't a Kestrel."
Rodnay glances at Shinann.
Rodnay moves to stand in front of Shinann.
Shinann looks at you, puzzled.
Rodnay places one finger to the center of Shinann's head.
Shinann blinks.
Rodnay quietly says, "You may have peace. It will not last long. You will awake in the middle of the night troubled once more."
Rodnay nods at Shinann.
Kayse glances about with a look of concern on her face.
Shinann says, "Thank you... those blackouts are disturbing."
Shinann says, "I removed myself from duty because of them."
(Kayse's wings fall to her sides, a look of defeat on her face.)
Rodnay and the Reach
Rodnay quietly says, "I want to thank you for providing me shelter and comfort in your city and gardens."
Rodnay quietly says, "I must now go to my next home. It is calling me. We are nearing the time."
Rodnay looks up, his gaze shifting to the high peaks of Melgorehn's Reach.
Rodnay quietly says, "There."
Cryheart asks, "Ye going to live on the Reach?"
Rodnay quietly says, "Within the Reach, yes."
Rodnay quietly says, "I will never be far. I will be here, for you, and you for me."
Cryheart asks, "Rodnay, will ye remain in physical form?"
Rodnay quietly says, "Yes."
Speaking hesitantly to Rodnay, Kayse says, "This is slightly unexpected."
Rodnay nods at Cryheart.
Rodnay peers quizzically at Kayse.
Kayse waves her hand in a dismissive gesture.
Rodnay quietly asks, "Unexpected friend Kayse, why?"
Rodnay glances at Cruxophim.
Rodnay nods. [likely a thought exchange or whispers]
Speaking calmly to Rodnay, Kayse says, "We just got you back from the Kestrels. I did not anticipate you would leave the town again."
Rodnay quietly says, "Your town lies in the shadow of my home."
Speaking measuredly to Rodnay, Kayse says, "Just--do not forget who you are, Rodnay."
Rodnay quietly asks, "I will come and go as I please. I am a citizen, yes?"
Speaking calmly to Rodnay, Cruxophim implies, "The Reach is your home? Does it feel more welcoming? And of course, you may."
Rodnay quietly says, "The garden cannot sustain me any further."
Rodnay nods at Cruxophim.
Rodnay quietly says, "All you need is to call upon me."
Speaking wryly to Rodnay, Cruxophim says, "Well, when the next set of fools decides to come for our home, I'm sure we shall."
Speaking to Rodnay, Lornieh asks, "One thing I've been thinking of though... what happened to Quinshon after you exposed him?"
Speaking to Rodnay, Ysharra says, "Powerful as you are, you may find the solitude daunting."
Rodnay quietly says, "The black shaman lives. He is wounded, but he lives."
Rodnay quietly says, "I will not be alone."
Rodnay nods at Ysharra.
Speaking to Rodnay, Irar asks, "And Raznel?"
Rodnay quietly says, "The witch will return."
Rodnay quietly says, "She will come to prepare the harvest and herald in the Blood God."
Speaking huskily to Rodnay, Bravepath asks, "How can we find you, Rodnay, should she or the black shaman return?"
Rodnay quietly says, "I will know of their return before you."
Rodnay nods at Bravepath.
Speaking to Rodnay, Stormyrain asks, "Will you protect the Reach, then, from those who seek to harness its power and use it for ill?"
Rodnay nods at Stormyrain.
Speaking to Rodnay, Stormyrain says, "Should you ever need aid in that, you will have mine."
Rodnay bows to Stormyrain.
Stormyrain bows to Rodnay.
Rodnay quietly says, "I will visit."
Rodnay quietly says, "I am not a monster."
Rodnay glances at Maylan.
Rodnay quietly says, "Your thoughts alone will not keep me content."
Rodnay glances at Kayse.
Rodnay moves to stand in front of Kayse.
Kayse cocks her head at Rodnay.
Rodnay hugs Kayse.
Kayse smiles at Rodnay.
Kayse hugs Rodnay.
Rodnay quietly says, "I will always be within...Reach."
Rodnay smiles, almost like a human boy for once.
Rodnay holds out his hand, then waves.
Rodnay lifts into the air effortlessly, his small frame ascending into the sky, partially obscured by the shadow Melgorehn's Reach. Moments later he raises out of sight, disappearing into the depths of night or perhaps into the heart of the mountain itself.
Bonus Material
Speaking to herself, Dirra says, "If he listens to to my thoughts."
Kiske says, "Sweet kid."
Leafiara opines, "A hero, that one."
Beldannon heartily says, "He does know how to make an exit."
Xorus says, "The dragon better be careful."
Melivn says, "Man I wish I could skip those water slides like that."
Speaking amusedly to Kiske, Cruxophim remarks, "Not so sure he's a kid any longer."
Speaking quietly to Shinann, Kayse says, "He is safe and free, that is all that matters."
Osloe says, "Well, best of luck to him."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Kiske says, "Whatever."
Lornieh says, "Be interesting to see how he changes."
Ysharra says, "Perhaps he'll serve as a decent sentinel in one of the sore spots in this part of the world."
Shinann says, "And got rid of my headache."
Speaking ruefully to Shinann, Kayse says, "Yes...for now."
Madmountan says, "For now."
Ysharra says, "Now if we could just find a few other cambions to watch over Anwyn and Darkstone."
Albanus pensively says, "I have a feeling that he is going to usher in something important."
Speaking nonchalantly to Kiske, Cruxophim muses, "Sounds about right for you."
Speaking heartily to Cruxophim, Beldannon asks, "Any word on search parties or missives to try and find Thondalar?"
Speaking to Lornieh, Arnylon says, "It may be interesting to see how the Reach changes."
Speaking delicately to Shinann, Kayse says, "I need you to look at what you wrote in my notebook when you blacked out."
Beldannon heartily says, "I mean um Thadston."
Speaking confusedly to Beldannon, Cruxophim ventures, "Thondalar?"
Shinann says, "Look, I know I am having blackouts."
Speaking to Talinvor, Ysharra says, "Ah, right, Bonespear, too."
Beldannon heartily says, "Always get them mixed up."
Leafiara teasingly says, "Thondalar's sometimes in the trophy room."
A low chirping sound comes from within a shadow-colored box streaked in shards of bloodjewel.
Madmountan says, "The real Thadston? No reason to think he's in this area."
Speaking to Stormyrain, Shinann says, "I removed myself from duty for now."
Beldannon heartily says, "Or playing let it ride."
Irar asks, "Harvest for the blood god. How do we ready ourselves for that?"
Speaking to Irar, Arnylon says, "Remain plump."
Speaking to Dirra, Maylan says, "I'll leave it here on the ground in case you change your mind."
Xorus says, "Interesting."
Speaking wryly to Ysharra, Talinvor says, "Cambion has such a wonderful ring to it."
Ysharra says, "Not sure I'm the one to answer that."
Madmountan says, "Maybe Osment will run into him."
Speaking heartily to Madmountan, Beldannon says, "He probably isn't but where is he."
Speaking to Irar, Albanus says, "Try to not have your blood sucked out while you're sleeping."
Speaking to Irar, Marijka asks, "We exsanguinate ourselves, clearly?"
Ysharra says, "As the last time I heard the term used, it wasn't for Stone."
Speaking calmly to Beldannon, Cruxophim inquires, "Thadston? I presume he's dead, or far enough away to make no difference?"
Leafiara reminds, "He went off to find Raznel. There's no telling at all where he is."
Speaking to Irar, Dirra says, "We do as we always do. Find our strengths, trust in each other and stand strong."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Irar says, "I don't think we've seen the last of Thadston."
Speaking to Leafiara, Madmountan says, "Maybe he'll resurface when she does."
Albanus says, "Blood harvest, we're going to find people waking up in tubs of ice with their kidneys missing, and it won't be Cruxophim this time."
Speaking wryly to Irar, Cruxophim reasons, "The imposter might disagree."
Speaking amusedly to Dirra, Marijka muses, "Trust in each other. We could do better at that."
Speaking smoothly to Madmountan, Leafiara agrees, "Could be."
Ulkov says, "If he's witch hunting, if she shows up.. he likely won't be far behind."
Cryheart says, "I think Sir Thadston is away still looking for Disean."
Maylan says, "Blood doesn't scare me. Blood is a tool."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Irar asks, "How many Thadgolems could there be?"
Speaking surreptitiously to Albanus, Cruxophim teases, "People wouldn't be waking up from that."
Shinann says, "As he always was."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Albanus says, "I'm on to your game."
Speaking to Marijka, Dirra says, "Well it is a tall order."
Speaking to Albanus, Ysharra asks, "Where are you on the board?"
Speaking seriously to Cruxophim, Leafiara asks, "Actually, the Deacon brings something else to mind... why couldn't you detect Thadston was a golem?"
Speaking calmly to Irar, Cruxophim explains, "It would make no sense to create a golem without some knowledge of whether or not the original was dead. Doesn't mean he is, but I might presume it more likely."
Speaking to Shinann, Dirra says, "And nice to see you on your feet."
Speaking to Ysharra, Albanus says, "You might be surprised."
Leafiara worriedly asks, "Just how well-created -was- that golem?"
Speaking to Albanus, Ysharra says, "I think I'm a knight. Might still be a pawn."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "I HAVE NO IDEA."
Shinann asks, "Was I off them?"
(OOC) Leafiara's player whispers to the group, "Yeah, I know, but Leafi has to bring it up."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "BECAUSE PLOT, I GUESS."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Stormyrain counters, "Not a lot of what Dennet did makes 'sense'."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Irar says, "Perhaps he'd simply planned to kidnap or kill the real thing if he did return."
(OOC) Leafiara's player whispers to the group, "Since she kept pressing on and on and on about about detecting if people were golems."
Stormyrain says, "I hold out hope that Sir Thadston is still looking for his son."
Speaking disinterestedly to Leafiara, Cruxophim speculates, "Magic, I suppose."
Xorus says, "There are so many ways to fashion a construct it is hard to say."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Irar says, "Or accuse the real Thadston of being a golem."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Lornieh asks, "So you could've just eaten Thadgolem?"
Madmountan says, "I knew Thadston was a golem from the night that I fake helped him to find Plinite. He was as mechanical as something could possibly get."
(OOC) Arnylon's player whispers to the group, "Or the lifeless Thadston we saw several weeks ago was a mind-controlled Thadston and last night's was a golem."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Yeah, so did I. I even ate the previous one, but go figure."
Cryheart says, "I prefer to believe that."
Cryheart nods at Stormyrain.
Speaking to Dirra, Maylan asks, "Do you have time for a lesson soon? Perhaps this very night?"
Speaking to Shinann, Dirra says, "Maybe a little last I saw, but you were exhausted.....Captain."
Albanus asks, "So all we have to do is blast people in the face to find out if they're golems, right. Where's Hapenlok?"
Speaking to Albanus, Madmountan says, "I actually suggested that."
Ulkov says, "Hapenlok isn't a golem, just an ass."
Speaking to Kayse, Ysharra says, "It never seems to work."
Cruxophim wryly mutters, "Probably blasting something innocuous."
Shinann says, "That invasion was hard on us all... I do not remember all of it... I got so tired."
Albanus says, "You misunderstand. He will be the one blasting people. In the face. With lightning."
Madmountan says, "Actually my suggestion was hitting him the face with a maul."
Maylan says, "Seems like a good plan to me. Faces are easy enough to re-grow."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "I'm not sore about it or anything, heh."
Speaking to Shinann, Irar says, "You've been through a lot. I am happy that at least you did not go through a raise by Goblyn."
Speaking thoughtfully to Raelee, Cruxophim inquires, "Do you have the remains of the Thadston golem?"
Arnylon asks, "Have the last remaining portals in town been closed?"
Speaking curiously to Irar, Leafiara asks, "What's wrong with one of those?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Raelee asks, "Why?"
Shinann says, "You and I both."
Speaking evenly to Raelee, Cruxophim remarks, "Seems like it could be useful."
Speaking to Leafiara, Irar says, "Well, you end up with your entire body maimed before you raise."
Speaking slowly to Cruxophim, Raelee says, "I am sure it could be."
Speaking bemusedly to Irar, Leafiara says, "Oh, well, there is that."
Maylan says, "I rather enjoyed the ressurection a la Goblyn."
Matriarch Berkana just arrived.
Speaking to Berkana, Talinvor says, "You missed the blue boy."
Cryheart says, "Ho ho."
Arnylon says, "I wound up rescuing over 100 bodies the other night. Although to be fair, several of them were the same body over and over and over and over."
Speaking softly to Talinvor, Berkana asks, "But... did he miss me?"
Speaking to Berkana, Talinvor says, "I think there was concern for Shinann's other self."
Berkana asks, "Other self?"
Shinann asks, "What?"
Shinann says, "I was having blackouts."
Speaking to Shinann, Talinvor says, "Kestrel's always pay their debts."
Shinann says, "So I hear."
Speaking to Shinann, Talinvor says, "So you say."
Speaking to Talinvor, Ysharra asks, "Proud of that one, are you?"
Shinann says, "Not me."
Speaking to Ysharra, Talinvor says, "I'll get her to sign eventually."
(OOC) Cryheart's player whispers to the group, "Who wants the group lead, I need to go, fighting off a cold."
Speaking to Maylan, Dirra says, "You definitely need lessons....I will make time."
Dirra asks, "You have time now?"
Speaking to Dirra, Maylan says, "I must be prepared for his return...and for Raznel."
Speaking to Maylan, Dirra says, "You and I both."
Sir Cryheart just went west.
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "RAELEE IS IN CHARGE OF THE OUTPOST, DOGPILE IT!!"
Berkana asks, "Are we.... waiting for something?"
Shinann says, "Now, to research these blackouts. Have not run across ones quite like these."
Speaking to Dirra, Maylan says, "I do. I have nothing but time for this task."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Party at Raelee's place!!"
Speaking wryly to Berkana, Cruxophim quips, "Aren't we always?"
(OOC) Ysharra's player whispers to the group, "We should all bring her Jello shots."
(OOC) Chaoswynd's player whispers to the group, "Dance party in her lab?"
(OOC) Raelee's player whispers to the group, "You can tell she's not in charge because the gates are still open :p Were she in charge, they'd be sealed and electrified."
Dirra says, "Stealing the so called land pirate for some mental instructions, she is prone to panics."
Speaking hopefully to Dirra, Maylan begs, "Can we have the lesson in my Cove tonight?"
Cruxophim warmly wishes, "Good lessons, you two."
Cruxophim hugs Maylan, who wraps him in a warm embrace.
Cruxophim hugs Dirra, who wraps him in a warm embrace.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dirra says, "And I still owe you lessons."
Albanus says, "Can we go somewhere warmer? I'm freezing my boots off out here."
Leafiara curiously clarifies, "Lessons in... what? Protection from Raznel?"
Cruxophim seriously assures, "We'll get back to the Lockhart Defense Project soon."
Leafiara idly says, "I'll definitely have to ask about that."
Shinann says, "I hate her... hate. I want to be the one that slits her throat."
Cruxophim amusedly admits, "I'm not entirely sure."
Speaking wryly to Shinann, Talinvor says, "Do tell us more on that subject."
Shinann says, "Raznel."
Speaking sympathetically to Shinann, Leafiara says, "Normally I'd want the honor, but considering all you've been through... I'm not arguing tonight."
Shinann says, "I hate her."
Speaking to Shinann, Ysharra says, "You may well get your chance."
Speaking wryly to Shinann, Cruxophim reminds, "You might have to get in line."
Shinann says, "Well, maybe we all get a piece of her."
Leafiara brightly enthuses, "Wouldn't that be nice!"
Speaking ominously to Shinann, Cruxophim remarks, "I could live with that."
Ysharra says, "I'm not in that particular queue."
Speaking amicably to Ysharra, Leafiara says, "Excellent, more carvings for me."
Speaking evenly to Shinann, Cruxophim clarifies, "You will not let me examine you?"
Shinann says, "Umm... no."
Xorus darkly jokes, "They will transform into a hundred miniature Raznels."
Speaking hurriedly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "Oh, speaking of examinations..."
Beldannon heartily says, "Guessing we are done for tonight."
Albanus annoyedly says, "Right, if we're not going to the warmth, I'm going to bring the warmth to us."
As Albanus waves his sky blue runestaff through the air, a banner of blindingly bright sunlight emanating uncomfortable heat streams out behind it. The image of a wavering incadescent sun flares radiantly to life against a blindingly bright sunlight backdrop. After a moment, the banner fades away.
Speaking curiously to Cruxophim, Leafiara asks, "Do you by any chance still have that blood sample you took while I was being cured last year?"
Albanus says, "That's better..."
Speaking wearily to Shinann, Cruxophim concedes, "As you wish. Get someone to."
Speaking to Leafiara, Madmountan says, "I was hoping that was going somewhere else."
Shinann says, "I will be researching libraries."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Leafiara adds, "Or at very least do you remember studying it?"
Cruxophim wryly remarks, "You spend two hours paralyzed trying to save someone, and this is the thanks you get."
Speaking to Talinvor, Berkana says, "Fireplace, cozy settee, a place to warm your feet."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Leafiara explains, "I'm concerned since I was apparently ruled out as a host for Reannah--and this was after Dennet questioned many months ago if there might still be something wrong with my blood."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Albanus says, "Don't worry, I'll be the important one next time, and when you save me, I'll make sure to mark you down for free revives."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Shinann asks, "When did that happen?"
Speaking tartly to Leafiara, Cruxophim informs, "You were clearly too sassy, that seems obvious."
Speaking to Leafiara, Arnylon says, "Hair was the wrong color."
Leafiara speculates, "He might have had a legitimate reason to believe that and I have to know."
Arnylon just went west.
Speaking to Leafiara, Irar says, "Maybe they just didn't like you."
Speaking to Shinann, Ysharra says, "If you want to talk.."
Speaking disinterestedly to Shinann, Cruxophim concludes, "Doesn't matter."
Leafiara nonchalantly says, "Not a chance, everyone tells me they love red hair."
Speaking to Shinann, Ysharra says, "For the record. I'm sorry it didn't work."
Leafiara says, "Oh, Arnylon ran off."
Ysharra says, "And sorry I killed you."
Speaking to Leafiara, Madmountan says, "Maybe it wasn't your blood, but maybe your soul is too feisty."
Speaking to Ysharra, Shinann says, "We can talk anytime."
Speaking thoughtfully to Leafiara, Cruxophim remarks, "Good question, however. Perhaps I should look into whether or not there was some determining factor."
Speaking bemusedly to Madmountan, Leafiara says, "Well, I could only hope."
Speaking to Leafiara, Irar says, "Then again, you're always working. Didn't want to wear out the new soul."
Speaking to Leafiara, Marijka agrees, "It's hard to hate red hair."
Speaking wryly to Ysharra, Cruxophim remarks, "It would -never- really matter."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "Obviously not."
Speaking bemusedly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "Not her. Despite her best efforts."
Madmountan says, "I think I'm done here."
Relic Hunter Madmountan just went west.
Speaking suddenly to Lornieh, Cruxophim inquires, "How are you, dear? Seems you really dodged an arrow to knee, with that one?"
Leafiara offhandedly says, "Oh, that's very true..."
Speaking worriedly to Lornieh, Leafiara says, "I really thought it would be you if he did try it, seeing how Dennet looked at Silvergate that night."
Speaking to Kayse, Ysharra says, "Wine and, or tea, sometime. Perhaps the three of us."
Shinann says, "Of course."
Commander Roblar just arrived.
Roblar deeply asks, "Missed somethin?"
Speaking warmly to Roblar, Leafiara praises, "Great defending two nights ago."
Roblar deeply says, "T'anks."
Shinann says, "Need something to do while not barking orders."
Leafiara explains, "Rodnay was here briefly. He's gone to live in the Reach now."
Speaking affably to Roblar, Cruxophim praises, "Yes, thank you."
Speaking gently to Shinann, Leafiara offers, "You can yell at me next time I put my foot in my mouth around you. It's been almost eight months now, I think, so I'm overdue."
Cruxophim removes a badly burnt ham sandwich from in his small eldritch coffin.
Cruxophim offers Shinann a badly burnt ham sandwich.
Speaking affably to Shinann, Cruxophim offers, "Hungry?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Shinann says, "Not for that."
Speaking concernedly to Kayse, Cruxophim whispers aloud, "See to it that she gets examined, please. And let me know."
Marijka stares at Cruxophim.
Speaking casually to Marijka, Leafiara reasons, "The entire Empire and those Elven Nations think our own existences are strange, so I don't judge him."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Albanus asks, "Did those portals and spots of energy ever get cleared up in town?"
Shinann says, "I might even visit the Nations in a few days... get a bit of rest. Look at their libraries."
Speaking carefully to Leafiara, Marijka agrees, "I don't know if 'strange' is so much the word I would use, but it's entirely true that they look askance upon us."
Speaking to Kayse, Shinann says, "Well, I have to find out about these blackouts."
Speaking thoughtfully to Albanus, Cruxophim ponders, "I'm not sure, the Militia has been a bit preoccupied with dealing with the aftermath of recent events."
Speaking reluctantly to Shinann, Kayse says, "You can't be alone..."
Speaking sympathetically to Shinann, Leafiara says, "A vacation could do you some good anyway. I always secretly worry about you working too hard..."
Speaking worriedly to Cruxophim, Albanus says, "I heard some people were having issues with exploding ice orbs."
Speaking softly to Shinann, Chaoswynd says, "The libraries of Illistim may have something of use, and the city itself can be quite pleasant and relaxing."
Shinann says, "I will contact Vidos."
Speaking quietly to Marijka, Leafiara agrees, "I'm being diplomatic. More than they would."
Speaking seriously to Albanus, Cruxophim assures, "We'll look into it."
Speaking perplexedly to Shinann, Kayse asks, "You do not want me to go?"
Speaking to Kayse, Shinann says, "You can always go, also."
Speaking seriously to Cruxophim, Albanus says, "Probably a good idea, since I heard of the orbs today."
Lornieh says, "Gonna head back to town all."
Cruxophim wryly suggests, "Perhaps we should, aye."
Cruxophim's eyes cloud over with dark shadows as he prepares a spell...
Cruxophim gestures.
Your surroundings blur for a moment . . .
You also see the Dord disk, a small narrow-winged falcon, the Quando disk, a cream filled cherry tart, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a bacon-wrapped blood pudding donut, a mistwood serving cart with some stuff on it, some stone benches with some stuff on it and an herbal remedy donation bin.
Also here: Chaoswynd, Omakaw, Magister Raelee, Albanus, Lady Lornieh, Mayor Cruxophim, Xorus, Irar, Master Dord, Maiden Nadene, Lord Quando, Meranda, Dreuntar, Jixy who is sitting, Galyx, Thinius
Lornieh says, "Or that works."

[Moot Hall, Mayor's Office]
At the varnished modwir door, a red bear skin rug stretches across the polished hardwood floor. Twin velnalin hide chairs face the Mayor's pine desk, while behind it sits an incurvated bone armchair. A great stag's head and a dark-framed sketch are mounted above a cobblestone fireplace set into the western wall. Refreshments are offered atop an oak bar beside a tall arched window. You also see the palm frond-shaped Lornieh disk, the Albanus disk, the Irar disk, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, a bone-ringed dart board, a large dog bed, a large detailed map and a basket of sticks.
Also here: Chaoswynd, Omakaw, Magister Raelee, Albanus, Lady Lornieh, Xorus, Irar, Mayor Cruxophim
Speaking amusedly to Cruxophim, Chaoswynd says, "Seems you left a few behind, in the process."
Speaking brightly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Care to go make some trouble and protect our trade routes?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Irar says, "You feeling alright? Must've been a dreadful lot of work the past few days."
Speaking amusedly to Chaoswynd, Cruxophim reminds, "It's not as if we had anywhere to be, I'm sure they can find their way."
Omakaw confusedly says, "Well, I didn't know any of those names or understand any of those problems at all."
Speaking lightly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Is that a yes?"
Speaking wryly to Irar, Cruxophim assures, "You have no idea."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd asks, "It's always a yes, isn't it?"
Marijka sniffs at Leafiara.
Speaking affably to Omakaw, Cruxophim wonders, "Any place I could start?"
Speaking surreptitiously to Raelee, Cruxophim inquires, "Something wrong?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Raelee asks, "... why?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Marijka approves, "I like the strawberries and vanilla combination. It's very you."
Albanus says, "Hmm."
Omakaw just trudged through a varnished modwir door.
Cruxophim amusedly ventures, "Did any of --"
Cruxophim glances at a varnished modwir door.
Cruxophim looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.
Leafiara curiously asks, "Yes?"
Speaking seriously to Leafiara, Cruxophim clarifies, "No, I'm seriously suggesting it. It's a nice eve, no immediate danger, have a little fun."
Speaking slowly to Cruxophim, Chaoswynd says, "Surely you're going to finish that question."
Speaking wryly to Cruxophim, Marijka says, "I've been trying to persuade her to quit working for just one evening for weeks now."
Leafiara brightly replies, "But I like danger! I was going to go patrol for bandits!"
Speaking to Marijka, Leafiara speculates, "Give it another two months or so. That's how long it took Khy."
Speaking affably to Leafiara, Cruxophim wishes, "Well, enjoy your murder. Can I have the leftovers?"
Speaking sincerely to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "And like I said, don't you worry--I'm on your side. I think it's great that you're unusual."
Speaking seriously to Cruxophim, Marijka says, "She even made me go out and hunt bandits with her after the battle was over two nights ago. She's relentless."
Speaking bemusedly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "If there are any leftovers, maybe."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Back-handed compliment there, lol."
Speaking to Marijka, Chaoswynd says, "You get used to it."
(OOC) Leafiara's player whispers to the group, "Heh."
Leafiara regretfully says, "I still wish you could have eaten Dennet, though."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Damning with faint praise, hehe."
Speaking wryly to Leafiara, Cruxophim confesses, "So do I."
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Marijka says, "People look at me funny when I tell them the Landing-to-Haven-and-back sprint is my morning warmup. Leafi makes me feel lazy."
Speaking nonchalantly to Leafiara, Cruxophim remarks, "I'm sure it will be fine."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Albanus says, "Well, you aren't picky, are you."
Speaking to Marijka, Chaoswynd says, "I assure you, she makes us all feel lazy."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Apropos for Crux."
Irar offers Raelee a flute of cherry-apple blood wine.
Speaking amusedly to Cruxophim, Chaoswynd says, "You know, you could've made those donuts slightly less..... cloying."
Raelee declines Irar's offer.
Speaking to Raelee, Irar says, "You look like you could use this."
Speaking to Irar, Raelee says, "... I do not drink wine."
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Leafiara admits, "I started writing a song about it, but it's unfinished. Too many reports to write and enemies to slay."
Speaking sweetly to Chaoswynd, Cruxophim reminds, "People like sweet and savory."
Speaking to Raelee, Irar asks, "No? Prefer grog?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Chaoswynd replies, "True, yet it tends to stick in the back of the throat a little."
Speaking wistfully to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "But as a little girl I would look to the sky and vow to work harder and longer than anyone else to become who I needed to be."
Speaking to Irar, Raelee says, "... no."
Speaking innocently to Chaoswynd, Cruxophim notes, "Does it?"
Irar asks, "Holy wine, anyone?"
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Cruxophim offers, "Rather have this?"
Cruxophim offers Chaoswynd a plump intestine coil.
Speaking to Marijka, Irar says, "Consecrated."
Speaking begrudgingly to Cruxophim, Albanus says, "I only eat those things for the effects, not the taste."
Speaking mildly to Irar, Marijka asks, "Careful, Deacon. Haven't we already had this discussion about holy blood products?"
Hlendril exclaims, "Mayor, the attack was succesfully fended off!"
Leafiara bemusedly says, "Long and fruitful discussion, that one."
