Stationary gnomish press
Stationary clockwork presses have the same basic functionality as portable gnomish clockwork wine presses in that they can create wines and ciders for a cost. What is created is random and may container a label with the location in which the press is located, or the name of the character who worked the press. There are no other verbs associated with the stationary presses.
Locations
Ta'Vaalor
Within the Burghal Enclave in Ta'Vaalor is Stacked Vintners (Room 14120102), which houses a stationary wine press. Cost for use is 1,000 silvers.
- LOOK
Built of a mismatch of gears and cogs, several highly polished metal "foot-shaped" pounders have been affixed to a large camshaft over an aged oak barrel. A small crank juts out one side, while a small sign affixed to the barrel reads, "Pay to use."
Usage
With 1000 silvers in hand, TURN the press to receive a bottle of wine.
>turn press You hand some silvers to the nearby clerk who steps aside and gives you access to the gnomish wine press. You step forward and turn the crank on the side of the gnomish wine press. Exposed gears spin with your effort, driving numerous metal "foot-shaped" pounders in a rapid up and down motion, effectively crushing the grapes within. Roundtime: 3 secs. You finish up the process while a nearby clerk affixes your label to a bottle and hands it to you. Satisfied with your skill as a vintner, you turn the tap, filling the bottle and cork it.
