Apiculture Jars allow you to collect honey from any active beehive. The Greengair gnomes have imbued magic in the jar to purify and detoxify any honey collected, which means you can try out some more exotic honey types. They are sold in the Rumor Woods shop Wax Poetic.

Apiculture Jar

Analyze

The jar is an Apiculture Jar, used to collect honey from beehives. The jar is imbued with magic from the Greengair forest gnomes and will automatically purify the honey, removing any poisonous or otherwise hazardous traits. It won't necessarily fix the taste, though.

It is currently Tier 4 (out of 4). It's set to create honey that can be added to brewed tea or coffee. The walnut-framed jar is currently filled with pink clover honey.

WAVE jar AT: Collect honey from a beehive. Each beehive has a 10 minute cooldown.

Current finished design: a jar of (flower) honey with a hive-inked label

Alteration Guidelines:
1. The jar can be altered freely but must remain a jar or similar container type that can be lidded.
2. Custom jar descriptions should be less than 15 characters and should not include the article. The custom description will be used in the context of: a/an (custom) jar of (flower) honey. Examples: blown glass, blue, cylindrical
3. Custom label text will be the READ of the jar. The text should be of reasonable length for a label. The text can be multiple lines.
4. Custom label designs should be a noun and be less than 15 characters. You cannot include colors or the application type of the design (such as painted or sketched). This will go in the long description as: a/an (custom)-inked label. Examples: oak tree, stylized cat, polar bear, castle

OTS/Tier 1

Collect honey from any beehive for a sippable honey or a honeycomb. Honey type is selected randomly from one of the three flowers on a beehive. There are twelve potential base flavor profiles, with unique flavor notes depending on the flower. There is a cooldown on each beehive of 10 minutes.

Tier 2

At Tier 2, you can customize the appearance of your honey jars, in addition to several built-in options. This includes:
3 custom jar descriptors
3 label inscriptions
3 label designs
You can now create Tier 1 Beeswax. Beeswax can be used to alter any foraged item. Create a wax foraged item or a wax-dipped/wax-coated foraged item. Wax-coated items are compatible with the Veola hair accessory, Deck the Halls, and other scripts that insert a foraged item.
These cannot be used in alchemy or bounties once altered. Use them in cooking at your own discretion.
A jar can hold one use of honey AND one use of beeswax at a single time after collecting from a beehive. Using up the beeswax collected will still leave honey in the jar, which can be used in a different way.

Usage

Verb First Third
CLENCH You clench your fist around your walnut-framed jar and feel a gentle warmth radiate from within. The honeycomb inside softens under the heat, and you work the wax free, the honey running back down into the jar as a chunk of beeswax takes shape in your hand. FLIP You will now select the custom label design when you TWIST the jar. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!

Rotate through settings for current customization type.

Tier 3

At Tier 3, you can create honey that can be added to brewed tea or coffee. There are twelve potential base flavor profiles, with unique flavor notes depending on the flower.
You can also create Tier 2 Beeswax. Beeswax can now be used to create wax compatible with the postal system. In addition, you can modify beeswax by adding up to 2 colors of dyes and selecting from 8 wax styles.
POINT your jar at (almost) any object or creature to add a 4th label design at any time.

Beeswax

Beeswax is created by an Apiculture Jar that its unlocked to at least Tier 2. Beeswax comes in three tiers, which are determined by the unlocked tier of the Apiculture Jar. Tier 2 jars create Tier 1 beeswax; Tier 3 jars create Tier 2 beeswax; Tier 4 jars create Tier 3 beeswax.

At this tier, your beeswax can create wax foraged items, player mail wax cylinders, and lip balm (Makeup 2.0).

HOW TO USE YOUR BEESWAX
TURN: Rotate finished product between wax foraged items, player mail wax cylinders, and lip balm (Makeup 2.0).
