Arnlis is one of the Ta'Vaalor guardsmen posted at the Victory Gate, the southwestern gate of the city of Ta'Vaalor.

Description

Arnlis is middle-aged, is taller than average, and is quite muscular.  His long white hair is held in a tight braid down his back.  A long, ragged scar arcs across his face, which is tight and displays no emotion.  Arnlis is dressed in a dark red coat trimmed with bright gold piping, which also has one broad gold stripe across the left arm.  His pants are a matching red with the cuffs tucked into knee-high dark leather boots.

Arnlis absently touches the ragged scar across his face, tracing its lines up and down with a pensive frown.

Arnlis mutters to himself distractedly.  You make out the words "careless" and "my fault".

As several officers stroll by, Gaelthar snaps to attention with a crisp salute.  Arnlis immediately snaps to attention himself, unconsciously imitating even the expression on Gaelthar's weathered face.

Sighing dejectedly, Arnlis runs a finger over the length of the vicious scar across his face.  Gaelthar glances at the younger man and says, "Buck up, soldier!  Every scar is a sign to remind you that you survived a battle.  That's a badge of honor you're wearing.

Arnlis adjusts his equipment and frowns at nothing in particular.

Arnlis checks the edge on his weapon.

Arnlis gives you an appreciative glance.

Arnlis glances about at his surroundings.

Arnlis narrows his eyes as he gazes out at something in the distance.

Arnlis scratches his nose.

Arnlis shifts his weight.

Arnlis yawns.
