The igaesha is a demon archetype which originates from the Lorae'tyr valence. There are ten subtypes: haze, rouk, brume, haar, murk, nyle, mist, smoke, vapor, and fog. They are all classified as a minor demons and can be summoned through the use of Minor Summoning (725).

Physical Description

Igaesha are a species of colorful clouds. They range across the spectrum in color, though most commonly light or pale. Since they are clouds, physical objects move through them freely, displacing the vapor as it passes through. They can alter their own density to adjust their size, expanding or contracting at will. They can also alter their chemical composition to become acidic. This can be used as a form of defense, or possibly digestion. There is no change to the appearance of their form itself, though an increase in speed and precision of movement has been observed while in this state. There is no mechanical difference between sub-types of igaesha, only a difference in the consistancy of the cloud type.

Society and Behavior

In its natural habitat, igaesha flock in clusters with each other, drifting nonchalantly through the skies. They do not interact noticably, rather they relinquish their individuality for the duration. When alone, they tend to move with more deliberate actions, as opposed to drifting aimlessly. It is only when separated or disturbed that each igaesha will take a mind of its own. Individual igaesha will swirl rapidly and become acidic if they feel threatened. It has also been observed that individual igaesha will shift and swirl in patterns when encountering one another, suggesting that they are performing acts of communication.

Mechanical Benefits and Flaws

Igaesha are worthwhile at sharing mana and have decent mana capacities. They are poor at holding coins, and not particularly fast at finding or scouting. They cannot pick up items directly (not including the eye), but they will accept up to 2 items from their master. Igaesha will eat nearly anything, and can inflict a corrosive acid upon thieves it catches.

Roleplaying Verbs

STARE/GAZE/SQUINT - You stare at a cloud of pale grey fog. The fog doesn't seem to notice, or, if it does, you can't tell.

TOUCH (and others) - The pale green vapor seems a bit too insubstantial for that.

The STARE subset works with illusioned Igaesha, but the TOUCH subset does not. Overall, there is little interactivity.
