Stalk/Hide skill bonus adds directly to the roll. For example, if you have 50 ranks in Stalk/Hide, you're adding 150 to your roll vs having no ranks. Using the combat maneuver [[Vanish]] with 3x Stalk/Hide is always superior to regular Hiding with 2x/Stalk/Hide, all else equal.

Professional bonuses in the ability to stalk and hide without detection are enormous. For example, a single-trained rogue at level 100 is significantly superior to a double-trained warrior. [1]

Stalk/Hide skill bonus adds directly to the roll. For example, if you have 50 ranks in Stalk/Hide, you're adding 150 to your roll vs having no ranks. Using the combat maneuver Vanish with 3x Stalk/Hide is always superior to regular Hiding with 2x/Stalk/Hide, all else equal.

Racial bonuses and Discipline also factor into hiding. Both Discipline and Agility aid in remaining hidden.
