The sixteenth and one of the last dynastic Argent Mirrors, Tenesi was the only daughter of Lilorandrych Illistim. Though historians have charitably acknowledged she was always going to be overshadowed by her mother, she made poor decisions as ruler, whether from unfortunate outcomes or a defect of judgment. When she abdicated the throne to her son, which was remarkable given her younger daughter was 2,421 years old, the House was in debt and the government in shambles. Ta'Illistim was not especially well-regarded by other Elven city-states under her tenure.

Tenesi Illistim was born in -21,717 Modern Era (27,390 Illistim) during her mother's reign. She had her son Nimyaion at the age of 622, and her daughter Lanenreat at age 1,288. Lilorandrych was able to pressure the young Tenesi to raise Nimyaion in the countryside, which may ultimately have resulted in his pressuring her to become the heir. Tenesi assumed the Peacock Throne in -20,063 Modern Era (29,044 Illistim) at the age of 1,654 and abdicated to her son in -18,008 Modern Era (31,099 Illistim) at the age of 3,619 after ruling for 2,055 years.
