Arcane Barrier creates an anti-magic barrier that grants the caster immunity to targeted low-level offensive spells.

The highest spell level nullified in this manner is based on the caster's Arcane Symbols or Magic Item Use skill, depending on the method of activation. The caster becomes immune to spells of:

Spell level ≤ [3 + (caster's arcane symbols or MIU ranks/25)]

For example, a caster with 50 Magic Item Use ranks rubbing a crystalline prism becomes immune to spells of level 5 and lower.

Arcane Barrier (1720) is found on scrolls generated by the treasure system. This spell can also commonly be found in crystalline prisms.

Bugs

Wearing Arcane Barrier will prevent a character from being able to cast certain versions of spells that are open cast.
