This spell releases incredible destruction by fire when the target fails a warding roll. Affected targets are set on fire and take recurring damage. When the spell is Evoke, it deals reduced damage, but subjects the target to Roundtime, acting as a disabler.
Lore Benefits
Training in Elemental Lore, Fire provides for a chance to incinerate the target, instantly killing it. The chance is a seed 1 summation of ((Elemental Lore, Fire ranks - 10) / 2), with a reduced chance if the warding margin is less than 50. The penalty is calculated at 2% per 1 WM. With 192 lore ranks, the base chance is 13%.
In addition, Elemental Lore, Fire also provides for a chance for an extra damage cycle, determined by ranks in Elemental Lore, Fire. The percentage chance is ranks / 1.5, so at 100 ranks, there is a 66% chance, and at 150 ranks, there is a 100% chance.
Damage
CHANNEL increases effective warding margin when the caster has one or two open hands. To channel automatically when using the INCANT verb, use the command INCANT SET CHANNEL 519.
