Ebon Gate (or EG) is a yearly paid merchant event that occurs at the end of October/beginning of November, and is focused on death. There have been several different ghost towns for EG, each with their own backstory and mini-quests, but the basic mapping of the area for shopping remains the same. The first EG was in 1998, making it the longest running regularly scheduled merchant event.
