User:OM1E5GA/Player Contributions
This page is for me to organize my notes about things that exist in Elanthia as a result of RP between players that GMs took notice of or as memorials/monuments to characters that may or may not still be wandering the lands. In many, if not most, cases documentation of these items from the time they came to be has been lost to the general player base and in some cases even the current generation of GMs have little or even no idea that these things came to be because of or are named after various players that have blessed us with their presence in Elanthia. As a result, almost all my notes come from accounts solicited from other players or directly witnessing the RP that inspired the items.
If anyone has other items, can fill in missing pieces on existing items, or has corrections please feel free to leave your input in the DISCUSSION tab for this page, email me (OM1E5GA@play.net), or poke me on Discord (Starchitin#9989). For the purposes of this page, I'm excluding changes to the world made as a result of GM-run storylines unless there's evidence that those changes wouldn't have been made without a particular player's contribution.
Wehnimer's Landing
- Many streets in the Landing were named after the earliest players in GS.
Confirmed: Airioch Lane, Erebor Square, Mikhail Street, Riverwind Street, Taarna Road, Wisraith Lane, Valeria Street,
Suspected but unconfirmed: Atropa Street, Beolost Road, Cheridin Avenue, Dagmar Lane, Lanthar Road, Locksmehr Way, Lyon Way, Parsnips Street, Penna Street, Stormarm Street, Talon Street, Winter Street
- Sagan has a hideout for those that know how to get to it
[Sagan's Alley, Hideout] Warm, dry, and well lit, the pleasant ambiance of this mid-sized chamber belies its seedy, subterranean location. Despite cobwebs in the corners, the floor is newly swept and all dust has been cleared from the makeshift furnishings, as if in readiness for the owner's arrival. A small niche has been chipped from the plaster, and some of the lathing has been removed to form a shelf within. Obvious exits: out
Solhaven
- Bresnahanini roltons reportedly received their name as a result of the player Artuero being killed by a rolton immediately after titling (reaching level 20), "Bresnahanini" was his surname. The in-game description references rumors they killed "a lord or two".
River's Rest
- Worn patch of grass in the Commons is a memorial to the player Widlebeest, who spent a couple decades kneeling there picking boxes before retiring from the lands.
- The large wooden herbal crate under the bench was dragged there by Starchitin and decorated by giantkin empath whose name has been lost.
- The catapult found along the Tempest River was placed there as a result of years of RP involving most of the player residents threatening to fling Starchitin to the mainland to be rid of him. No information has been given as to who actually built it, but the fact it's pointing the wrong way might be a clue.
- The "anonymous stack of one hundred and thirty table legs" by the tables in The Stone Eye is there because of Vindartin, who was obsessed with collecting table legs. Claimed to be freeing them, more info can be found here
Icemule
- Reports that "Thurfel" was either a player or somehow came from player RP. Only a rumor until more info can be found.
Teras Isle
- Drizzsdt has an office in the Teras Warrior Guild to honor him for being the first Master of Arms
[Guild Hall, Drizzsdt's Office] Daylight spills through tall arched windows, infusing this office with radiant warmth. Though spartanly furnished, it provides a welcome retreat for all who enter. Rows of oak shelves, arrayed with tomes, trophies, and mementos, bracket an enormous stone fireplace above which hangs a striking oil portrait. In the center of the room, offering a convenient gathering place for discussion and banter, sits a long scarred oaken table surrounded by high-backed chairs. A large oak desk rests opposite the fireplace. Obvious exits: out
Other
- The Huntress and lore surrounding her is the result of RP involving Kyrion, Warble, & Bleeds. Partial information here, but need more.
- The Dhe'nar culture developed from player RP during the ICE age and were called Dyari Elves at the time. Starshadow, Starsnuffer, and Corrig have all been mentioned as major contributors to the RP.
- Tehiri culture started as player-driven RP before being made cannon. Need more info.
- Tehiri god "al-Rakeesh" appears in the Sea of Fire, created by a player. More info coming soon.
