Lesser Shroud causes the caster to appear to be a minor god (an illusion). The caster receives a bonus of +15 to Defensive Strength (Melee, Ranged, and Bolt DS), +1 for every two Minor Spiritual spell ranks known beyond 20. This benefit is capped at spell ranks equal to the caster's level; overtraining in Minor Spiritual spell ranks does not yield additional bonus past the caster's level. The maximum DS benefit is +55 at 100 Minor Spiritual spell ranks.
It also provides a flat +20 bonus to Spiritual Target Defense (TD).
Due to the increasing bonuses of this spell, the mana cost is a base of 20, +1 for every 3 additional DS over the initial +15 DS (or equivalently, for every 6 ranks in Minor Spiritual above 20). The maximum mana cost is 33 at 100 Minor Spiritual spell ranks.
Lore Benefit
Sixty ranks in Spiritual Lore, Blessings allows a caster to bestow the base benefits (+15 DS, +20 Spiritual TD) of this spell upon another for a flat two minutes.
