The igaesha is a demon archetype which originates from the Grik'tyr valence. It has seven subtypes: haar, murk, nyle, mist, smoke, vapor, fog. All of these are classified as a minor demons, and as such, can be summoned through the use of Minor Summoning (725).

Physical Description

The igaesha is basically a species made up of colorful clouds. They can be found in many colors, though the colors are most often light and pale. Being that they are clouds, physical objects can move through them freely, harmlessly shifting the vapor aside as it passes. They are capable of changing their density to alter their size, expanding or contracting at will. Usually, an igaesha is found in a cluster of others, drifting slowly through the skies, though they are capable of individual movement and action. When separated, they tend to move with more specific direction, as opposed to drifting aimlessly. The igaesha is capable of moving directly through solid objects, though it is not apparent how it does so. They are also capable of altering their composition so that their mass becomes acidic. This is often used when the igaesha has been angered, but there is no change in the appearance of the cloud when it does this, other than an increase in speed and precision of movement when in this state. It seems to be able to do this, and return to normal at will, with no consequences. All of the various subtypes of the igaesha archetype are virtually the same, only differentiated by minor differences in consistancy.

Society and Behavior

The igaesha do not seem to have a society per say, but they do travel together in clusters. When in a cluster, they do not visibly interact at all, and actually seem to lose their individuality for the duration. These clusters as a whole drift slowly through the skies of Lorae'tyr, seemingly unintelligent. It is only when disturbed or separated that the igaesha seems to take on a mind of its own. It has been observed that when a separated igaesha is in the presence of another, the vapors within it will shift and swirl in a noticable pattern, implying that they are capable of communication through visual signals. While in a cluster, the igaesha seem quite docile and unaware of their surroundings, but when separated, they seem able to react and change to their surroundings, and can even be annoyed. When annoyed, the swirling vapors within it seem to increase in their intensity, and it is also at this time that they may become acidic.

Mechanical Benefits and Flaws

The igaesha are not particularly skilled at doing much for their summoner. They have a slightly above average base mana capabity, and a good capacity growth for holding mana. In all other areas, they are capable, but not particularly decent, with the exception of eating. The igaesha will eat anything given to them. When guarding, they will inflict a corrosive wound on a caught pickpocket, which will damage the victim for several rounds.
