Thurfel's Ward provides a generic +20 to one's defensive strength.

There is an additional mana cost of +1 for every +3 DS provided in this self-casting manner. When self-cast, there is an additional +1 bonus to DS for every four Major Elemental spell known above 503. When cast upon others, the flat +20 DS bonus will always apply.

The visible colors shown in the messaging depend on one's elemental attunement. If no attunement is chosen, or if it is set at random, a random color will display.

The glowing specks of energy surrounding you suddenly shoot off in all directions, then quickly fade away.
