Stunning Shout is a warding spellsong that affects the target in three separate ways. Firstly, it deals a base 10 hitpoints (HP) plus additional damage based on the success of the warding roll. Secondly, it performs impact or unbalance critical damage. Lastly, it either stuns or disorients the target. A creature that is already stunned will not have the previous stun stack with the resulting stun, but a greater stun will replace the previous stun. Disorientation will result in roundtime and possibly other ill effects.

Lore Benefit

Training in Elemental Lore, Air provides a bonus to initial HP damage of +1 per three lore ranks.

Damage Formula

Initial HP damage = base 10 + trunc[(endroll - 100) ÷ 4)] + (EL: Air ranks ÷ 3)
Example

With a 150 endroll and 15 ranks of Air Lore:

10 + trunc( 50 ÷ 4 ) + ( 15 ÷ 3 lore bonus ) = 27 damage
