Song of Power (1018)
Song of Power causes the bard to become a moving mana node, thereby increasing the mana regeneration rate of anyone in the caster's group. Specifically, the 'off node' mana recovery is set to what characters would have on a node while the on-node recovery rate increases from 25% to 30% of max mana expressed as trunc (max mana * 0.3).
However, be warned that the song can be very volatile if sung too long. Many suggest to stop the song after a few song renewals and then restart it.
Given the high renewal cost compared to casting the Song anew, Bards will find this a prime candidate for stopping before renewal in order to avoid any multi-song penalty.
You feel completely in touch with the flows of mana. As you sing, you feel the mana around you begin to swirl and move with a subtle grace.
You struggle to maintain control of the flows of mana. The mana around you continues to gracefully swirl and move.
|Renewal Failure|| |
You struggle in vain to maintain the flows of mana as they break free from your control! An uncontrolled vortex of mana rages in the air above you! You are caught by the vortex! ... 40 points of damage! Head reduced to a charred stump.
The mana around you slowly returns to its natural state.
