Cigar

Much like smoking pipes, cigars are available to smokers in a variety of flavors and have been found in town tobacco shops as well as other special event venues. Unlike pipes, cigars require the use of a match from a matchbook, torch, lamp, fire, flame, candle, Inner Eye Candle, or a cast of Minor Fire (906) in order to be properly lit.

Cigars may apply a scent to your body, similar to perfume. The fragrance is refreshed while smoked and should last four hours after smoking ceases. The scent of each specific cigar cannot be changed from its original scent.

Cigars can be held in the character's mouth and will be shown in the character's inventory for five minutes at a time.

Tips

  • To light a cigar: get a match in one hand and a cigar in the other hand. LIGHT MY MATCH, then LIGHT MY CIGAR WITH MY MATCH.
  • After you have lit a cigar, you may still have a burning match in your hand. It is ok to DROP MY MATCH, which results in "The burning match goes out, disappearing in a small puff of smoke."
  • To get a match out of your matchbox: make sure one hand is empty, and a matchbox is in your other hand. OPEN MY MATCHBOX, GET MATCH FROM MY MATCHBOX, CLOSE MY MATCHBOX, then put away the matchbox and get out your cigar.
  • There have been a few quirky matchboxes referred to as "box" although they look like a "matchbox."
  • A burning cigar can not be put away. You must SNUFF MY CIGAR before storing it in a backpack or other container.
