Essa was a merchant aboard the Dhu Gillywack, and was responsible for what eventually became known as Ezza Hats.

Behind the Scenes
Also aboard the Dhu Gillywack was a merchant named Eza. It's quite possible that the name confusion stemmed from that. Couple that with the mistaken name given to the merchant on a player website, and Ezza Hat was born.
