The Grey Obelisk was a society of House Illistim which was concerned with prophecy and the excavation or archaeology of unknown sites. Most of their members had at least a mild interest in Jastev, the Liaboan Arkati who had powers of prophecy, as well as the various arts of divination. They were the most secretive, least casual, of the major societies in the city-state of Ta'Illistim.
