Step 23

The Symbol of Preservation acts to strengthen the bonds of spirit to body in a target (or oneself), similar to the Cleric Base spell Preservation or the contents of a white flask. It is granted by Lorminstra, and represents completion of the twenty-third step on the Path of Enlightenment.

Using the Symbol of Preservation

Syntax
symbol of preservation (target)
  • The target is optional - use of the symbol without a target will default to oneself.
  • This symbol can even be used when dead, to preserve the souls of the Volner and any group members.
  • The Symbol of Preservation cost 156 units of favor per usage.
  • This symbol preserves the corpse for 30 seconds per step along the Path to Enlightenment, with a thirteen-minute maximum at mastery.

Obtaining the Symbol of Preservation

Once acquiring 4800 units of favor, speak to the twenty-third monk on the Path to gain the task for this symbol.

Wehnimer's Landing Task

To gain Lorminstra's blessing, one must help one that has not found the favor of the Gods to do so.

  • First, find a player with no deeds. Usually, this is easiest to accomplish by seeking out the Clerk's office or low-level hunting grounds.
  • Take the above-mentioned character to the altar in Lorminstra's Temple:
    • From TSC: e, e, e, s, s, e, go temple, go altar
  • At the altar, type say lorminstra, give (other character) my deed.
  • One deed will be removed from you and transferred to the other player, and your task will be completed. Return to the monk.

Ta'Vaalor Task

Likewise, we must help out the less-blessed.

  • First, find a player with no deeds. Usually, this is easiest to accomplish by seeking out low-level hunting grounds.
  • Take this character to the Temple:
  • From Victory Court: e, e, e, n, e, e, e, n, n, go structure, west to the altar
  • At the altar, type say lorminstra, give (other character) my deed.
  • One deed will be removed from you and transferred to the other player, and your task will be completed. Return to the monk.
