Smooth, pale yellow sandstone walls are interrupted by green jade-carved ivy leaves that crawl across the trim of the ceiling until it opens up to the second floor. Arches chiseled into the sandstone texture the walls at equally spaced intervals with tiled murals inside each of them. Dual pillars break up the room and open up additional space further into the shop, while at the front of the small boutique is a marbled desk that takes up the front and center of the lobby. You also see a learned scribe and an iron-decorated large double-paned door that leads outside

The wall straight ahead has a mural of colored tiles resembling a waterfall and has been framed with stacks of colored paper and parchments. [Arboreal Afterlife, Upstairs - 7110409]
The smell of ink and perfumed parchment radiates throughout the area, while a kaleidoscope of various shapes, sizes, and colors of cards is a vivid splash of hues against the otherwise plain and pallid surroundings. Silken streamers dangle from the ceiling and droop down enough to have cards hang on them at their crease. Built into the far-right wall is an old oak apothecary cabinet that's been refurbished, its drawers labeled with tiny golden plaques. Taller than it is wide, the lofty shop is papered in a golden cream damask pattern that leads to a broad oval-shaped mirror that dominates the back wall. A few paces back from the looking glass, a solitary dark acacia case sits atop a lush burgundy wool rug and is illuminated from within to better display the wares inside. Dye Me A River

[Dye Me A River - 7110438]
Like pennants from a washer woman's nightmare, swathes of fabric in various stages of dying dangle from the rafters in a pageantry of mismatched colors. Dye splatters mark every surface, including the white shelves that hold vials of dye and the short display counters filled with gnomish contraptions. A curved umbrella shields the area where an attendant stands next to a parchment-filled hexagonal cubby. You also see a large dye-splattered sign

Etched Memories

[Etched Memories - 7110449]
Dividing the elongated room into different browsing sections, a narrow dark koa table stretches across the center of the marble-tiled floors. The eastern wall supports a gold-framed shelf, an iron-banded trunk, and a notched maoral ledge, while the western wall stores a carved rowan case and a heavy walnut jewelry box. Numerous pots of wild greenery are scattered throughout the area, and an elusive, slightly metallic charred scent winds through the air. You also see a stout bespeckled engraver.

The Final Touch, Color

[The Final Touch, Color - 7110445]
Twilight blue paint adorns the walls and ceilings of this small room, while the floor underfoot is a slightly paler shade. Stars and constellations in silver, gold, and white span the space overhead, and gazing upward is akin to viewing the sky on a cloudless night. At intervals, dark sconces blend into the walls but for the tea candles that burn within, accenting the stars here and there, and an archway leading deeper into the shop hides almost invisibly in the wall. Elaborate works of art, colorful and vivid, executed upon magical scrolls festoon the bright white walls of the shop. Sitting atop glass-shelved displays that border the airy room, deep blue glass vases frame scroll-cutting devices of various shapes and are matched in color to the small rugs arranged over the smooth, stone tile flooring. An occasional zephyr winds in through the arched windows, ushering in soft floral scents that linger in the air. You also see a tile-framed sign.
Obvious exits: east, out

In the Common language, it reads: The scroll cutting devices in the showroom's displays offer a variety of designs for your scroll-making pleasure. Boxes produce scrolls that are well-matched to the exterior, while the scrolls the cases produce vary somewhat from the external aesthetic. You should LOOK AT and ANALYZE any scroll cutter you have interest in prior to purchasing.

In the glass-shelved display you see : a dark grey case edged with scribble markings, a cedar case with neatly inked scrollwork, a pale silver box with a stylized scorpion design, a violet-streaked case, an ivory box with a black latticework border, a golden star-inked box, a rune-imprinted box, a juniper wood case carved with quaternion eagle imagery, a jade-tinted box, a eucalyptus case featuring snowflake imagery, an aquamarine box painted with textured waves, a wisteria wood case stained in graduated violet hues, a warped ebon box, an ornately carved case and a cream-colored box smeared with mulberry jam-colored stains.

[Scrollworthy, Workshop - 7110384]
Cheerfully welcoming, two settees sit opposite each other, with a low, wide table separating them, at the workshop's entry. Well-lit scroll artwork and tall, potted ferns offer tasteful decor, and the gentle babble of a stream originates from an ovaline water sculpture. Spread across the stone tiles of far side of the room, tidily kept workbenches display sectioned boxes filled with the various parts and pieces of scroll cutting devices. You also see an amber-eyed merchant.

Sojourn Scents, Trivia

Painting adorns the walls to create a three hundred and sixty degree landscape, with golden grain fields rising from the floor and a pristine azure sky sinking from the ceiling to meet at a horizon dotted with trees and limned with the amber-magenta shades of a summer sunset. Shelves with a few golden hooks beneath have been chiseled into the walls within the outline of the trees and painted to match, while an archway is set into the center of the setting sun, its pigments in harmony with those surrounding it. You also see a circular saffron-hued sign.
