Storyline titles

Characters can sometimes be granted special prename or postname titles through participation in storylines, quests, and other ongoing roleplay. These are often, but not always, tied to various social, political, or military organizations that exist in the world of Elanthia. As the award of these titles is linked directly to character roleplay, they can also be changed or revoked by the granting authority depending on character actions.

Town Appointment Titles

Some titles are awarded based on a character's appointment to a public official role for a town or city. These positions may have involved an election, and criteria for serving in those roles may vary significantly from region to region.

Imperial Titles

Several organizations within the Turamzzyrian Empire have titles that can be awarded to a character based on their extended roleplay. Some are linked to a chivalric military order and typically require swearing fealty to one of the ruling houses. Depending on the specific chivalric rank, they may allow the character to establish their own chivalric order. Others are tied to civil service or magical expertise.

Crimson Legion Titles

Any Vaalor elf with full citizenship in Ta'Vaalor has the opportunity to enlist in the Crimson Legion Reserves, the official army of Ta'Vaalor. Members of the Legion have access to a prename and a postname title, based on their current rank. Rank promotions are awarded in game based on extended character roleplay.

Palestra Titles

Any Faendryl dark elf interested in walking the Path to Palestra may participate in one of the Palestra Trials whenever they are held. Those characters who successfully complete the trials is awarded a rank based on their performace. Characters participating across multiple trials may increase their rank this way.
