Dark bronze in body, the cicada has rainbow-whorled wings fashioned of incredibly fine and thin crystal that stretches beyond its segmented abdomen. Tiny gears embedded in the thorax create segmented joints that allow the wings to function, while thin copper wire helps to transfer energy from a glowing source that can be glimpsed beyond the clear compound eyes that flank its head. A pair of antennae fashioned of alum wire match the six jointed appendages that are attached to its body. |

Twenty tiny bodies are clumped together to create a dormant swarm of the gnats. Each nearly microscopic body has six exceedingly thin wire legs and a pair of sycamore seed pod-shaped wings fashioned of translucent vellum supported by copper wire. Compound eyes of faceted jet seem overly large on the tiny head, while the thorax looms large over it like a hunched back. A thin, narrow abdomen of alum is connected to the thorax by tiny screws. |

The Tinkerer's Pouch was introduced during Duskruin 5121 as part of Duskruin Mania. It is an auction-level item. AnalyzeYou analyze your aureate pouch and sense that the creator has provided the following information: This is the Tinkerer's Pouch, which was introduced at Duskruin in 5121. This pouch will produce six different mechanical insects that each have their own ability. They are: Bumble Bees that will, when pointed at an item recently foraged, go in search of the same item.* Cicadas that will, when pointed at a creature or player, cast Sounds (607).** Gnats that will, when pointed at an NPC Child, swirl around them and protect them from one incoming attack.* Hornets that will, when pointed at a creature or player, cast Call Swarm (615).** Rhino Beetles that will, when pointed at a gemstone, charge at it and break it in half. (Please note: this will reduce the value of each gemstone by half.)* Webworms that will, when pointed at a creature or player OR when raised, cast Web (118).** Each insect has a specific cooldown associated with it, which can be checked by using GAZE on the pouch. You may get an insect out of the pouch by using WHISPER MY {pouch} [cicada|hornets|webworm|bee|beetle|gnats], please be mindful that you must provide the entire insect name. Insects that have a 15-minute cooldown must be used within 15 minutes of being taken from the pouch. Insects that can be used X times per day must be used the day that they are taken from the pouch. Failure to do so will cause the insect to decay. It has access to the following verbs: clean, close, gaze, nudge, open, pinch, prod, pull, push, snap, tickle, tinker, touch, turn, and whisper. * Insect has a 15 minute cooldown. Item or child in question must be assigned as a bounty task. ** Insect may be used 40 times per day. Alter Rules: You may alter the pouch freely, but keep in mind that if it is closed it will always display: A series of mechanical carpenter ants act as closer toggles along the asymmetrical flap. And if it is not closed, then it will always display: Though the interior is dark, tiny copper bodies are visible along the lower edge, and thin tube-like pockets filled with tiny wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers line the sides. You can tell that the pouch is as light as it can get, but you might be able to have a talented merchant deepen its pockets for you. LookOpen Though the interior is dark, tiny copper bodies are visible along the lower edge, and thin tube-like pockets filled with tiny wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers line the sides. Closed Usage
Additional InformationBumble Beea mechanical bumble bee Crystalline wings with copper veining sit equidistantly apart on the thorax of the bumble bee, the forewings and rear wings dwarfed by the bulbous body. Almond-shaped goggles are recessed into the head, providing a window into the many gears and sprockets hidden within, while thick wire antennae are perched above. AnalyzeYou analyze your bumble bee and sense that the creator has provided the following information: This bumble bee is from the "Tinkerer's Pouch," an item that was released at Duskruin in 5121. It can only be away from "Tinkerer's Pouch" for ten minutes before triggering a cooldown on the pouch and can only be used by the pouch's owner. The current owner is you! This particular insect-type is one of six and can can duplicate a foraged item. In order for the foraged item to qualify for duplication, it must be an item that you were assigned to find in as a bounty task. It must be used within 15 minutes of being removed from the "Tinkerer's Pouch" or it shorts out and is ueless. In addition to its fun mechanical thing, it has access to the following verbs: Nudge, Point, Pat, and Touch. You get no sense of whether or not the bee may be further lightened.
CicadaA mechanical bronze cicada can be created by the Tinkerer's Pouch 40 times in a single 24-hour period. This particular insect-type is one of six and can cast Sounds (607) on a player or creature. It must be used today or its gears will seize up, rendering it useless. In addition to its fun mechanical thing, it has access to the following verbs: Listen, Nudge, Point, and Touch. You get no sense of whether or not the cicada may be further lightened.
Gnatssome mechanical gnats Twenty tiny bodies are clumped together to create a dormant swarm of the gnats. This particular insect-type is one of six and can can hover around a child and block one incoming physical attack. This child must be a child that is assigned to you as a bounty task. It must be used within 15 minutes of being removed from the "Tinkerer's Pouch" or it shorts out and is ueless. In addition to its fun mechanical thing, it has access to the following verbs: Nudge, Point, Pat, and Touch. You get no sense of whether or not the gnats may be further lightened.
Hornetssome mechanical hornets Twelve in total, the hornets are fashioned of a rust-colored metal banded with alum and accented with bronze. Parchment wings outlined in wire resemble sycamore seed pods, the rounded edges fitting perfectly into a gear-encircled joint on the thorax. A crystal shield on the teardrop-shaped abdomen is home to an incredibly tiny ampoule of some kind of green liquid, the clear guard anchored by tiny copper screws. In addition to its fun mechanical thing, it has access to the following verbs: Nudge, Point, Pet, and Touch. You get no sense of whether or not the hornets may be further lightened.
Rhino Beetlea mechanical rhino beetle Crafted largely of alum, the glossy body of the beetle has nearly an oil-like shine to it. Thin wire forms the six appendages known as tibiae, which all have tiny barb-like teeth on their external edges. Bronze eyes decorate the sides of its head near the long hook of the head horn that ends in pincers, while smooth pronotum extends towards the elytron sections at one and the smaller horn at the other. Its underbelly has a crystal shield-like plate that allows the gears within to be viewed. AnalyzeYou analyze your rhino beetle and sense that the creator has provided the following information: This rhino beetle is from the "Tinkerer's Pouch," an item that was released at Duskruin in 5121. It can only be away from "Tinkerer's Pouch" for ten minutes before triggering a cooldown on the pouch and can only be used by the pouch's owner. The current owner is you! This particular insect-type is one of six and can break a gem in half, lowering its price by half but creating a second gem. In order for the gem to qualify to be broken, it must be a gem that you were assigned to find in a bounty task. It must be used within 15 minutes of being removed from the "Tinkerer's Pouch" or it shorts out and is useless. In addition to its fun mechanical thing, it has access to the following verbs: Clean, Nudge, Point, Pat, and Touch. You get no sense of whether or not the beetle may be further lightened.
