Weavable items are part of the weaving system and can be used to create a variety of worn or held accessories, which are called Woven Chains when completed. Multiple weavable items are needed to make a completed woven item.

Weavable items take on a wide variety of forms when sold off the shelf. They can be altered by a merchant. Some merchants that specialize in weaving system items will alter a stack of multiple weavable items at once. When altering a weavable item, bear in mind that there are restrictions on length. You can preview how a weavable item will appear as part of a completed woven item by using ANALYZE.

Weavable items can also be created via weaving tools from a variety of found objects. See the creating weavable items section below for more information.

Analyze

You analyze the vivid orange marigold and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
A talented merchant can alter this weavable marigold. Merchants will require that the marigold can logically be woven together with a duplicate of itself or other weavable items and make sense for eventually forming an item like a garland or anklet. Appropriate items are flowers, ribbons, leaves, string, and the like. Nothing big/bulky. No "gemstone-mimic" weavables (if it can be confused with an actual gemstone, then it's a no go). No long and show descriptions are allowed at this time.

When weaving, only the adjective and noun, and sometimes part of the article, will matter, so bear this in mind. Right now, this marigold, when woven, will show up as a "gold-tinted vivid orange marigold," and if there is more than one, you will end up with some "gold-tinted vivid orange marigolds."

To get the full benefit of this marigold, you can try to WEAVE it WITH another similarly weavable item. You can also BUNDLE (and BUNDLE REMOVE) identical items.

You get no sense of whether or not the marigold may be further lightened.

Usage

Verb First Third
BUNDLE You carefully bundle a gold-tinted vivid orange marigold with a gold-tinted vivid orange marigold, forming a collection of gold-tinted vivid orange marigolds. N/A

BUNDLE REMOVE You deftly remove a single vivid orange marigold from your bundled collection of vivid orange marigolds. Person deftly removes a single vivid orange marigold from her bundled collection of a collection of gold-tinted vivid orange marigolds.
Separate an item from a bundle.
WEAVE {ITEM #1} WITH {ITEM #2} You weave a gold-tinted vivid orange marigold together with a cluster of soft white baby breath.

Roundtime: 3 sec.
Person weaves a gold-tinted vivid orange marigold together with a cluster of soft white baby breath.
Combines weavable items to create or continue a Woven Chain.

Additional Information

See the weaving system article for a full explanation on how to create things via weavable items and how to complete a weaving project.

Multiple weavable items can be stored inside of a weaving tote, which can be used to bundle like items together. Unlike other "in-ators", weaving totes do not store the contents weightlessly, and each bundle counts as an item for the purposes of lockering the tote.

Creating Weavable Items

Weavable items can be created via weaving tools from a variety of found objects.

Material Tool Needed Notes
Feathers Pierced with an awl Feathers dropped by a wizard's familiar or animal NPC
Gemstones Carved with a lathe Most gemstones found as part of the treasure system
Plants Trimmed with snips Flowers, leaves, and other non-herb plants or plant parts found via foraging or from a Foraged Item Prop
Pelts Cut with shears Soft critter skins and pelts obtained via skinning; carapaces, knuckles, shells and other hard objects obtained via skinning will not work with shears
Ribbons Trimmed with scissors Ribbons found as part of the treasure system or created via a Ribbonator 2000

The Ribbonator 2000 is capable of making several types of ribbons. This includes both unscripted ribbons, which need to be trimmed with the weaving tool scissors, as well as ribbons that are already weavable items. This latter feature is a higher tier unlock.

The rare beetle mount has a special ability where it will create a random Mechanical Flower, which can be PLUCKed to turn it into a weaveable item.
