Tebon Hawggweiler is a kindred warrior and a member of the Order of the Silver Gryphon.

Born in an area deep in the Dragonspine Mountains, he is active in Wehnimer's Landing, Solhaven, Icemule Trace and other locales across Elanith.

History

Tebon lived with his Wsalamir clansman, secluded from most of the world. There were occasional raids on his village by trolls or ice giant clans, which were always answered with a vicious response, followed by a retaliatory raid upon their lands, but mostly led a peaceful life of hunting game, fishing, and enjoying his youth.

That all changed one night when his clan was attacked enforce by a large host of undead. Wraiths, zombies, non-corporeal entities, all mannerisms of undead brought violence to his village, led by a powerful lich. He had no idea that this was happening, as he had reached his naming day, and was away, by himself seeking his ancestral spirits guidance. He was in a cave, when his spirit guide came to him, and he was told that he must go home, his people are in danger.

He awoke from his trance and immediately set off for home. It took him two days of travel, without stopping, and no sleep to get to where his village was, but he was too late. He walked through the ruins of his village, the massacre was complete. Men, women, children, none were spared. They defended themselves well, as there were many bodies, in various states of decay, laying amongst his clan.

He set about dragging the invaders away from his home, and threw the bodies he found off a nearby cliff. He then brought each member of his clan to the center of the village, and arranged them as best he could, to honor them with a funeral pyre. Throughout his time of clearing his village of the invaders and then setting clansman up for the funeral pyre, he became resolved on what he would do. As he lit the pyre, several wendigo appeared on the outskirts of the remains of his village. Tebon had decided he was going to pursue these attackers, and he would avenge his people.

As he began to leave, one of the wendigo’s approached him, and gave him a breastplate. Nodding, with no words, he accepted and was stopped again by several other wendigo’s and was given a greatsword, a shield and a helmet. He donned the armor, and began his trek south, following the path the invaders left. He never looked back.

His path eventually led him to the gates of Wehnimer's Landing. In his travels, and his questions he asked, he discovered that the lich was one of the Horned Cabal, though he never discovered which one it was. (Tebon believes this lich was Elhambric, because he made an appearance at Tebon and Cosannie’s wedding.) His path of vengeance led him to meet several people in the Landing that helped him turn his path from one of vengeance, to a path of duty.

Sir Shirkon and Sir Geijon helped him find his path to House Phoenix, after a brief stay at the Silvergate Inn. He found that there was a path for him, a path that had kindred spirits, in the Order of Voln. While there, he learned of Lord Voln, the Paladin of Liabo, the Destroyer of the Undead. He threw himself into his studies, and became a staunch devotee of Lord Voln, becoming a Paladin of Voln, himself.

In the year of 5110, on the seventh day of Eoantos, Tebon married the love of his life, Cosannie Soring. Together they have two children, Denissa and Alexzander.
