Mental magic is derived from the spell user's ability to shape reality and affect others through the mysteries of psychic energy. A spell user of the Mental Sphere draws on the power of the mana weave and molds it with his mind, channeling this psychic energy into a wide variety of spells.
The following professions have access to mental magic:
- Savants will be the only pure profession focused exclusively on mental magic. Their Savant Base is mental in nature, and they will also have access to both the Major and Minor Mental spell circles.
- Empaths are hybrid users of mental magic. Their Empath Base circle is a hybrid of mental and spiritual magic. They do not have access to any other circle with mental magic however.
- Bards are also hybrid users of mental magic through their bard base spell circle, which also uses elemental magic.
- Monks, though squares, are able to learn spells from the Minor Mental spell circle.
