Voln armor

Voln armor is a type of armor script that provides mechanical benefits for members of the Order of Voln. Non-members will only benefit from the fluff verb traps and players converted to Luukos cannot wear the armor at all. There are four tiers with cumulative benefits. The armor can be enchanted, padded, and flared normally with the difficulty/cost increasing per tier. The purifying weaves on the armor make sanctify easier (+50 bonus) but ensorcell more difficult (-100 penalty). Tier 1 The base armor provides a DS flare (equal to enchant) with a chance to activate: 15% Base, +5% Voln masters, +5% Voln converts. Analyze This armor has been designed to provide mechanical benefit to members of the Order of Voln. Some FLUFF verb traps are available to non-members, but unique abilities are bestowed ONLY on members. Due to its nature, the steel-riveted coat-of-plates will repel anyone converted to Luukos who attempts to touch it, as well as preventing usage to anyone wearing or holding Shadow Death, Black Ora Jewelry, or Rapture Cloak items. The armor can be altered, but any descriptions (including shows) cannot indicate something evil, demonic, or otherwise unbefitting to someone who releases the undead souls for Voln. The steel-riveted coat-of-plates is currently TIER 1 (Off-the-Shelf) and has the following options available: *** NON-VOLN, and VOLN MEMBERS *** Fluff: BOW, TAP, STARE, and CLUTCH *** VOLN-MEMBERS ONLY *** * DS flares against undead foes. Base chance to flare of 15%, +5% for Voln Masters, +5% for Voln converts. Amount of DS applied equal to armor enchant, min. of +10, max. of +50. Usage Verb First Third BOW You forcefully cross one arm over your <ARMOR>, and offer a formal bow. <Person> forcefully crosses one arm over his <ARMOR>, and offers a formal bow. Tier 2 At the second tier, the armor adds an automatic Symbol of Need upon death, plus +3 sheer fear effective levels against undead. Usage Verb First Third KNEEL In an extreme display of respect, you fall to one knee and bow your head in reverence. Usage Verb First Third PUSH Every bone in your body seems to ache as you shift your stance, ever stoic. Lifting a wearied hand, you press your palm down over your heart, and silently turn your thoughts toward your devotion to Voln's path. In response, a hazy white glow rises from your <ARMOR> and spreads, bathing you in a rejuvenating light that leaves you stronger and steadier in its wake. <Person> shifts his stance with stoic slowness as he brings a hand to his heart and presses it palm-down to the surface of his <armor>. A look of resolve takes over his features as he closes his eyes and bows his head. In response, a soft wash of white radiance suffuses his <armor> and floods outward from him, momentarily enveloping him. As the light dims and dissipates, it leaves <Person> looking stronger and steadier in its wake. EXHALE You tense slightly as the spiritual force of your polished steel platemail swells, its powerful current manifesting as a flash of brilliant light. Amount of DS applied equal to armor enchant, min. of +10, max. of +50. * +10 passive Sheer Fear resistance against undead. * Automatic Symbol of Need upon death - half normal favor cost. Must already possess knowledge of the Symbol. Toggled on/off with WHISPER. * Phantom critical padding augments DS flare. If flare triggered and attack goes through, it does so with critical padding in place. Amount of padding applied equal to half armor enchant, min. of 5 points, max. of 25 points. * Locate nearby undead ability - cost of 5 units of favor. Activated with PONDER. * Additional +10 Sheer Fear resistance against undead. * 2x/day Symbol of Return ability that works while stunned/immobile/webbed - normal favor cost. Usage Verb First Third DRAW Focusing intently on your spiritual connection to the Paladin, you lightly trace the outline of a shield upon your <armor>.
