The Written Word

[The Written Word - 25188]
Wave-edged light maple frames decorate the sides of a carved ebony bookcase displaying a variety of writing utensils and other sundry items. A bookish elven clerk works tirelessly behind a dark maple counter, pulling sheafs of paper and covers from a cloth-lined chest. Occasionally, bits of torn paper float lazily through the air and land on the floor.
Obvious exits: out

On the counter you see:
Special [1]: a simple book binding press
Misc [2]: a small printed placard, a neatly lettered note

Some obscure details about my wares: Be aware when writing that the spoken and written word are closely linked. You must have a quill to write, but it need not be a quill purchased here. Inkpots are not necessary, as the pages have a magical element to them. You may erase what you've written by CLEANing the page. You may TEAR the page to *permanently* remove it from the book. PUSH, TURN, and FLIP will allow you to work with the individual pages.
a neatly lettered note
I, Qaril, can create a custom journal for you. You need only to select a cover and a sheaf of pages from the bookcase. (Each completed volume will have fifty pages.) I can make five types of books (book, notebook, journal, volume, and folio), so be sure to ASK me about the one you are most interested in. Please note that only I can bind these papers into a cover. If you buy some, make sure I fix it up for you. If you leave Bloodriven Village before I've worked with them, they will be useless.

Once combined, creates a Writable book

In the cloth-lined chest you see: a sheaf of stained parchment, a sheaf of yellowed parchment, a sheaf of floral parchment, a sheaf of charred vellum, a sheaf of gilded vellum, a sheaf of greyed vellum, a sheaf of pale white parchment, a sheaf of web-inked paper, a sheaf of ripped paper, a sheaf of vine-edged paper, a nacre-inset pale leather cover, a dark leather symbol-branded cover, a skull-set jet nubuck cover, a leaf-edged sage silk cover, a jet-on-ivory floral jacquard cover, a bloodied grey leather cover, a gilt-swept plum velvet cover, a metallic jade snakeskin cover, a smoky leather crescent-inset cover, a sword-branded white suede cover, a patchwork leather cover and a sheaf of pastel parchment.
