Maluverre

Maluverre Sil'Andruthile is a scholar of the Grey Obelisk, one of the Illistim societies. He eventually revealed that he was aligned with Gosaena and part of a longstanding Illistim cult dedicated to her, in which he at one time served as its leader.
An eccentric and talkative scholar, he became a pivotal character in the Griffin Sword Saga, although his initial involvement was that of a neutral party content to observe and advise those who chose to enjoy his conversation. He often entertained guests in his home off of Erissian Var in Ta'Illistim. Early in the storyline, he wrote a news article offering an initial accounting of the elven perspective of the war, which previously had focused only on the west yet had made a sudden turn eastward. He helped in the defense of Ta'Illistim against the flying miscere'golab by ferrying defenders to it via his airship.
Maluverre's alignment with Gosaena became significant toward the end of the storyline when he was revealed as the Keeper of the Present: one of three emissaries alongside Sylvirria Azarielle and Volierre, each of whom had at one point visited an ancient and forgotten temple dedicated to Gosaena. After this revelation, he helped the Resistance ascend in his airship to the Dark Alliance's floating Black Temple sanctuary, where the Griffin Sword was ultimately destroyed.
