Fasthr's Reward is a reward granted by the Arkati of Liabo to Fasthr. It provides a base 50% chance for a a second warding attempt after a failed warding roll. This base chance is adjusted down for non-spiritual spells, and up with training in Spiritual Lore, Blessings.

When considering the sphere of the spell cast against the wearer of Fasthr's Reward, the chance for activation is as follows:

  • There is a 50% chance of activation against a spiritual sphere spell.
  • There is a 25% chance of activation against a semi-spiritual sphere spell (for example, Sorcerer Base).
  • There is a 12.5% chance of activation against a non-spiritual sphere spell (for example, Wizard Base).

The spell will terminate if it results in a spell being successfully warded on the second roll (i.e., once a character has received a benefit from the spell, it must be re-cast).

Fasthr's Reward can be cast at others for a 2 minute duration that is not refreshable.

Lore Benefits

Training in Spiritual Lore, Blessings increases the percentage chance of activation according to Seed 1 of the summation chart. This bonus is a flat bonus applied to all spheres of magic equally. For example, if a caster has 55 ranks of Spiritual Lore, Blessings, they will receive a +10% chance against all spheres of magic.
