Outstanding

  • User_talk:LALAMJ: Hello! It has been nice getting to know Abilene on her character page. While I was looking at the image on her page, "Abilene.jpeg", I noticed that it did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:47, 14 September 2022 (CDT)
  • User talk:ALLENM20: Hello! I enjoyed viewing the artwork on your character page for Nemdenia (platinum). While I was reviewing the recent updates on it, I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the image that you uploaded, "Nemdenia Portrait.png". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:35, 8 November 2022 (CST)
  • User talk:KITHUS: Hi, there! Thank you very much for your many contributions to the wiki. While doing some patrols of recently (and not-so-recently) updated pages, I noticed that you uploaded several images for guides you authored that do not have artist or copyright information on the pages where they are displayed. Specifically, I am referring to "Issalya_portrait.jpg" on Comprehensive Wizard Guide; "Necromancer.jpg" on Comprehensive Sorcerer Guide; "Bard_Weapons.jpg" on Comprehensive Bard Guide; "Ranger_and_wolf.jpg" on Comprehensive Ranger Guide; plus "Empath.jpg", "Warpath.jpg", and "Dissector.jpg" on Elanthia 5e. In addition, I could not find anything about the various Arkati symbols on the Elanthia 5e page; they appear to be made and uploaded specifically for it.
This information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images for which you have permission to uploaded onto GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Any artwork that is official Simutronics artwork does NOT need this. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:21, 17 November 2022 (CST)
  • User talk:TUMARA: Hi there! Thank you for your MANY updates to the wiki, especially your relentless efforts to chronicle the ongoing events in the Icemule Trace region. I'm reaching out to you regarding two things.
First, while I was looking at your recent uploads to the wiki, linked from Opalina (prime) ("Opalina.png", "Opalina outside.png", "Opalina fighting.png", "OpalnFalvicar4.png", "Sloop.png", and "Brig.png") and this page, User talk:TUMARA ("Opalina writing desk.png"), I noticed that none of the images include information about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. Additionally, if the image was created with AI artwork software, you will also need to note what program was used (Midjourney, etc.). If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated.
Second, I've noticed that you use your user talk page (this page) a bit atypically compared to most other wiki contributors. Generally speaking, the user talk page is designed to facilitate communication between wiki contributors through the wiki itself, or communication between users and mods. Anyone editing your user talk page will cause a banner to display at the top of the wiki until you view it. Looking at everything else on your user talk page, I actually recommend moving all of the contents to your user page, User:TUMARA, which is currently blank. That would allow other users or mods such as myself to contact you if the need arises without modifying the important information you have archived on this page. If you need assistance in moving it over, I would be happy to help with that. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:07, 1 December 2022 (CST)
  • User talk:CHIVERSFREE1: Hi there! Thank you for your MANY contributions to the wiki, from short stories to player written lore to information supporting the many events you help run. I'm reaching out to you about the images you have used in them, some of which do not appear to have information included about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. Please bear with me, since I have a bit of a lengthy list to help make this as easy for you as possible.
Files needing attribution information updated on the linked articles:
Files not currently used in any articles but still need attribution information:
  • File:Young Rohese.jpg is currently not used on any pages, so it will need the file information itself updated on the file page itself.
  • File:Poladra.jpg is currently not used on any pages, so it will need the file information itself updated on the file page itself.
  • File:Blue Phoenix.jpg is currently not used on any pages, so it will need the file information itself updated on the file page itself.
  • File:Ancestors of Rohese Bayvel-Timsh'l.JPG is currently not used on any pages, so it will need the file information itself updated on the file page itself.
Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. Additionally, if the image was created with AI artwork software, you will also need to note what program was used (Midjourney, Artflow, etc.). If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. The way you handled it on a number of pages, including for the artwork by Tisket on Elanthian Vogue: Eorgaen 5118, is perfectly fine.
It is possible I may have overlooked some as I was only looking at your uploaded files. Official Simutronics artwork does NOT need any of this information displayed. Thank you very much for the many images where you already did display this. And for your reference, I am in the process of getting clarification from the rest of the wiki team on if different types of images would only need limited information displayed with them, such as the Elanthian Vogue "EV" logo or the flyer-style invitation images for your events. Until I have confirmation on that, I have to rely on the current copyright requirements and style guide standards.
Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. Given the number of articles impacted, I understand if it may take a bit of time. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 11:08, 1 December 2022 (CST)

  • User talk:MABEY: Hello again! I enjoyed reading more about your organization, the Gilded Talon Consortium. While I was reviewing updates including on its page, I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the newer image that you uploaded, "Talon5.png". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. The way you previously credited Sonya100years on the same page is perfect for attributing the artist. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. • User talk:CASTLEVD: Hello! Thank you for helping relate more information about the images you uploaded for your characters, Liylith (platinum) and Cadance (platinum). While reviewing the recent updates you made to those pages, I noticed that the artist or copyright information still is not clearly stated on the pages themselves for the images you uploaded, "Liylith2.png" and "Candance3.jpg". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. Either another moderator or I will check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:39, 8 November 2022 (CST)
  • User_talk:HEBREWTOYOU: Hello! I enjoyed reading about your character, Dayzed. While I was reviewing updates on the character page for Dayzed (prime), I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the image that you uploaded, "Dayzed.png". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. • User_talk:WELCHA: Hello! Thank you for adding updates to the Ebon Gate festival sections. While I was reviewing updates to Evermore Hollow, I saw that "EbonGateEvermoreHollow.png" did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it on the wiki by the artist. There was also nothing in the file's upload information to indicate that, either. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the map, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:01, 4 October 2022 (CDT)
  • User_talk:LORDCARANORN: Hello! It has been nice getting to know Caranorn on his character page. While I was looking at the coat of arms image on his page, "Caranorn Coat of Arms.png", I noticed that it did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it. I did see that you noted it had a Creative Commons License CC-BY-SA-ALL on the image upload, however that unfortunately does not satisfy the wiki requirements of crediting the source. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the image, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:47, 28 September 2022 (CDT)
Hello, I thought I'added myself as source, will take a look. --LORDCARANORN (talk) 10:41, 29 September 2022 (CDT)
I did put my character name (which is also a pseudonym I used on Wikimedia and various other places. If there is anything else needed please let me know (I'm a bit rusty with wikis). --LORDCARANORN (talk) 10:46, 29 September 2022 (CDT)
Thank you so much! That more than suffices for noting yourself as the artist. I definitely enjoyed the image, too! HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 11:15, 29 September 2022 (CDT)
  • User_talk:PTOLEMY: Hello! It has been great getting to know more about Jaysehn and his fleet. While I was looking at the various images on the Sentinel Fleet page, I noticed that they did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. • User_talk:MERCEDES419: Hello! It has been great getting to know more about Kayse and her campaign for town council in the Landing. While I was looking at the various images on her town council campaign page, I noticed that they did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. Good luck with the campaign! HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:23, 11 August 2022 (CDT)
  • User_talk:WARMACE: Hello! It was great learning about your character on Lunaryna (prime). While I was looking at the image on her page, "TLunaryna Portrait.jpg", I noticed that it did not have information about the original source. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source for all images uploaded to GSWiki. I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been added! HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:34, 26 July 2022 (CDT)
Hello again! I appreciate that you adding a link on your image, "TLunaryna Portrait.jpg", back to the artist's Instagram page from Lunaryna (prime). Unfortunately a link by itself is not sufficient to note who the image creator is and that you have permission from them to display their artwork. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page for Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of its portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:30, 2 August 2022 (CDT)
