This log and summary is from a NPC interaction of Amos and Trystama with players and from the viewpoint of Kayse Thaellian of The TownCrier.

Summary

  • Amos appears over ESP and says he's at the North Gate with a friend he wants to introduce. Turns out it is one of his 'distant fireflies' named Trystama.
  • Trystama says she is there to assist her lion with anything he needs. She is excited about the potential of the Landing and eager to see what the town has to offer.
  • Vaemyr offers to take Trystama to the Rusty Cutlass to view the new bar. A small group goes and some stay with Amos.
  • Trystama mentions she wants to throw a party next week possibly and needs everyone's help spreading the word.
  • Amos tells those gathered the consortium is in the process of being built. Kayse asks when it will be completed and he responds, "when it is done."

Introductions to Trystama

[General] Amos thinks, "It is a good day. The snow is still out, but I can smell spring just around the corner."

[General] Trystama affectionately asks, "Wherever are you?"

[General] You think, "Let us hope spring is. It has been a mild winter."

[General] Xanthium thinks, "Some of you must have some talented noses. All I can smell is ratacombs."

[General] Amos thinks, "Ah, Vaemyr. Hello. Yes, progress continues. I am busy welcoming a new friend to town who has arrived."

[General] You curiously ask, "Oh? Who is this friend?"

[General] Amos thinks, "We're at the gates, you can see for yourself."

[General] You think, "We have not had the pleasure of meeting yet ourselves."

[General] Pukk exclaims, "Ah ratacombs. The health breakfast for every young adventurer!"

Trystama lightly grips Amos's arm where her hand rests upon it.

Vaemyr says, "But I agree that you all have done good work for the town that I've seen."

Speaking to Amos, Trystama murmurs, "And are you going to introduce me to these other faces as well?"

You glance between Amos and Trystama.

Speaking indulgently to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "It takes all sorts of people to make such a large enterprise work well for the people."

Amos says, "I prefer to allow them to conduct their own greetings."

Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "If you would want my services, I'm sure something could be aranged for that I'm sure."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Xanthium smiles at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "That it does."

Amos says, "But, please welcome Trystama."

Speaking to Amos, you greet, "Kayse Thaellian. Pleasure to meet you." Kayse turns to

Trystama, "Nice to meet you as well."

Amos says, "One of my distant fireflies, who has finally arrived."

You nod at Trystama.

Vaemyr smiles at Trystama.

Trystama marvels, "And I am so excited to be here in Wehnimer's Landing. I have heard a little, but really, you all will have to fill me in."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Hello. I am Xanthium Dyvim, of House Brigatta and the Vipershroud Temple."

Raelee narrows her eyes slightly, studying Trystama with a cool, analytical gaze.

Xanthium bows to Trystama.
.
Speaking confidently to you, Trystama says, "Greetings, Kayse Thaellian."

Speaking to Trystama, you inquire, "What brings you to Wehnimer's?"

Amos says, "Rustilyn will be pleased to know you've come. Celadonna, perhaps not as much."

Speaking quietly to Raelee, Xanthium says, "Magister."

Dwi heartily asks, "We habbin a hubbub?... er a parade?"

Amos smirks at Trystama.

Xanthium smiles.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "We're glad to have you."

Speaking to Trystama, you add, "Besides friends..."

You casually glance at Amos.

Speaking smoothly to Xanthium, Trystama says, "Well met, Xanthium Dyvim."

Speaking to you, Trystama says, "I am here to support my lion however he requires."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Have you been here before? There's some lovely places to get in out of the cold. Or the muck."

You smile at Trystama.
.
Amos says, "Trys will be conducting some official business for me now that she's arrived, an emissary if you will. The Darkstone Bay Consortium has an exciting year ahead."

You nod understandingly at Amos.

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama says, "I have not! I am pleased to learn about all of the things this town has to offer."

Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "I do recomend showing her the new tavern in town, it is quite impressive and the food is excellent."

Amos says, "As long as the Mayor's kroderine arms don't turn him into a demon, we should have a successful year."

Amos smirks.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "I share that title, as well, in my service to Imperatrix Lylia. We should compare notes sometime."

Xanthium grins at Trystama.

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Amos!

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Your fellow is a lot bigger."

Xanthium glances at Amos.

Xanthium nods at Trystama.

Speaking warmly to Xanthium, Trystama says, "That sounds wonderful. Perhaps with some tea."

Amos says, "Yes, I've been meaning to visit the Cutlass soon, and her proprietor."

Amos says, "In time."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "But Lylia casts a long shadow herself."

Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Just keep him doing paperwork, he seems to enjoy it."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama inquires, "A new tavern? Truly?"

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Best food and drink in town."

Xanthium smiles at Trystama.

Speaking heartily to Trystama, Dwi says, "Dey ran a boat aground...hadda do sumptin wit it."

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama says, "You will have to tell me all about this Lylia."

Dwi grunts, amused.

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "I look forward to you escorting me there on a future date, then."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Vaemyr smiles.

Speaking faintly to Dwi, Trystama asks, "Oh, truly?"

You glance between Vaemyr and Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "I could likely arrange a meeting, if you like and she agrees."

Dwi grunts in agreement.

Amos asks, "Future?"

Amos peers quizzically at Trystama.

Amos says, "There is no time like the present."

Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr asks, "Care to go now?"

Amos asks, "Vaemyr, would you escort Trystama, and anyone else who wishes to join you?"

Speaking curiously to Amos, you inform, "I am a merchant and run a trading company. I sent a letter to you hoping we could discuss some business opportunities in the near future. The consortium brings some exciting new things to Wehnimer's."

Speaking affectionately to Amos, Trystama agrees, "If you say, my lion."

Speaking to Amos, Xanthium asks, "Are you buying, then, escort?"

Xanthium grins at Amos.

Vaemyr nods at Amos.

Amos says, "Oh, not me. I've some business to attend too."

Amos says, "I do not think Mother is ready yet to see me again."

Amos smirks.

Amos asks, "Can we still call her that, no?"

Vaemyr says, "Anyone who wishes to come to the Rusty Cutless feel free to join me."

Speaking disappointedly to Amos, Xanthium says, "That's not how this works."

You shrug at Amos.

Xanthium grins at Amos.

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Amos!

Bakarus chuckles.

Amos says, "Rone, Mother. I wasn't sure which is less criminal."

Speaking to you, Trystama says, "This sounds intriguing. I cannot wait for Amos to catch me up."

Amos nods to you.

Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Well have a pleasent afternoon."

Speaking to Amos, Xanthium says, "Mother."

Trystama says, "I am afraid that I am walking into this town near blind..."

Xanthium nods at Amos.

Speaking to Trystama, you say, "I will be happy to talk details especially with someone he seems to trust greatly."

Vaemyr grins at Trystama.

Trystama covers her eyes briefly for a moment and then drops her hands with a brilliant smile.

You nod respectfully at Trystama.

Amos says, "The new Consortium building is coming along."

Amos nods at Xorus.

Xorus says, "Excellent."

Speaking to Amos, you ask, "Any ideas when that will be completed?"

Amos says, "When it is finished."

Amos smirks.

Speaking to Amos, Raelee observes, "You seem to have given your firefly quite a... glowing impression of this town."

Amos says, "Winter's cold had delayed some shipments, as well as an uptick in krolvin activity on the sea."

You nod understandingly at Amos.

Amos asks, "You disagree?"

Amos peers quizzically at Raelee.

Speaking to Amos, Raelee says, "Yes."
Amos nods.

You surreptitiously glance at Raelee.

Amos says, "I can respect that."

Amos asks, "Does a parent judge their child, based on their slobbering infancy, or do they instead focus on the grand potential they could reach at some point, if molded and shaped along the right course?"

You gaze in amusement at Amos.

Amos says, "Wehnimer's Landing is often that child, with a loud voice and a temper."

Amos nods at Raelee.

Speaking to Amos, Raelee says, "... with investment, of course."

Speaking frankly to Amos, you reason, "I can accept that. Everyone has potential and room to grow."

Amos says, "There is potential here Magister. Otherwise your gold and navy masters would not have sent you here."

Speaking dryly to Amos, Raelee says, "That is a generous notion."

Speaking to Amos, Raelee asks, "Do you see purpose in that potential beyond the financial?"

Amos says, "I am not sure I understand your question."
.
Amos asks, "Why don't you just be more direct?"
.
Thrassus nods, moonlight briefly haloing his pallid grey skin from within the confines of the hood on his slate grey cowl.

Amos nods at Thrassus.

Thrassus says, "Evening."

Amos shrugs at Raelee.

Amos says, "Evening, you missed an introduction earlier."

Thrassus raises an eyebrow.

Amos says, "I am sure Vaemyr still has her at the Cutlass."

Amos nods at Thrassus.

Thrassus asks, "Oh?"

You dryly say, "You two seem to have a lot to discuss. I am going to go welcome our new visistor."

Speaking to Amos, Raelee asks, "I know you are a man of business and seeking to make a profit. I take no quarrel with that. Most of your work has been focused on the econimic. What... potential do you see outside of commerce? Magical? Political?"

Amos says, "Trystama, another firefly who has recently arrived to town."

You say, "I am heading there if you wish to join."

You nod at Thrassus.

Thrassus says, "I may show up shortly."

Thrassus nods to you.

Amos says, "Financial is a comfortable place for me."

Amos nods.

Speaking sarcastically to Thrassus, you say, "Or feel free to listen to Amos and the Magister discuss the future and worth of the town."

Thrassus says, "I was going to do exactly that, yes."

Thrassus snickers.

You grin slowly.

Sitting at the Rusty Cutlass

You apologize, "Was discussing some things with Amos."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "You would, of course, suspect correctly."

Trystama flashes a brilliant smile at Vaemyr.

Vaemyr smiles.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "You could see if there's a room to let, or use one of the inns and manorhouses."

The coppery barn owl hoots at you.

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama asks, "Would you recommend a specific location first?"

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr exclaims, "Well don't keep a suggester of good wine in suspense too long!"

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Silvergate is a lovely place, it's out of season, but soon their gardens will be blooming."

Vaemyr snickers.

Trystama begins chuckling at Vaemyr!

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "I am here to learn more about this quaint town so that I can help support its growth and success, of course."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

You nod understandingly at Trystama.

Trystama says, "In my service to Amos, I have found that there are a few different ways to go about this."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Mind if I ask where you are traveling from? Being a traveler myself I'm always interested in knowing potential knew places to visit."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Wayside is right past the gate you met your lion. It's a bit rustic but they keep the hearth going and the straw clean."

Speaking understandingly to Trystama, you say, "I am sure Amos welcomes your support."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Trystama says, "One of these is by getting to know the individuals who call the place home."

Xanthium smiles.

You confusedly ask, "Does he prefer to be called that?"

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

You glance at Xanthium.

You wrinkle your nose.

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama says, "I think I shall start with this Silvergate."

Vaemyr nods.

Speaking vaguely to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "I travel far across western Elanthia as needs be."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "It's got a nice ball room, too."

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama says, "That sounds particularly suitable for my initial task."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Sounds like we may be a bit similar in that then."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "And most importantly, shutters on the windows when you have a late night in the Tavern."

Xanthium flashes a quick grin at Trystama.

Vaemyr asks, "Shall we visit Silvergate then?"

Trystama says, "My thoughts are scattered after my journey."

Vaemyr glances between Xanthium and Trystama.

Vaemyr grins.

Vaemyr nods.

You suggest, "Perhaps some rest for her."

Trystama says, "I feel as if someone asked me a question, and I may have missed it."

You add, "Then we can ask her numerous questions."

You unsuccessfully try to stifle your grin.

Trystama concernedly asks, "Did I?"

Xanthium says, "I have a question, if that helps."

Xanthium flashes a quick grin.

Trystama encourages, "Please."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "Trys, you just mentioned an initial task...?"

Trystama says, "Oh! Yes."
Trystama candidly says, "I was about to ask for some assistance."

Xanthium smiles at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "I thought I felt a pitch coming."

You raise an eyebrow in Trystama's direction.

Trystama says, "I think it is of great importance that I get to know the people of this town."

Trystama says, "And, as I've said, I know next to nothing of it."

Trystama says, "Or the people! Some rumors here and there."

Xanthium says, "It's about what you would expect for a town of this size and populace."

Xanthium says, "The average number of cursed castles."

Xanthium ponders.

Thrassus snickers at Xanthium.

Trystama confidently says, "I am sure that it has many hidden gems."

Xanthium says, "Portals to other realities..."

Opalina beams happily at Raelee!

Xorus says, "Standard number of hidden underworld dimensions."

Xanthium says, "Rifts in time."

Opalina quietly says, "Thank you Raelee."

Xanthium nods at Xorus.

Trystama enthuses, "And as such, I thought you all could help me in throwing a little party next week."

Xanthium says, "Trys, this is Professor Xorus."

Trystama says, "Or perhaps the --"

You nod encouragingly at Trystama.
Xanthium says, "Imperatrix Lylia's husband."

Trystama turns to face Xorus.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "That could be quite fun."

Trystama smiles charmingly at Xorus.

Xorus says, "Evening."

Xanthium says, "And Lord Thrassus Feydark, a scholar of particular talent and keenness."

Trystama kindly says, "It is nice to meet you, Professor Xorus."

Thrassus nods, ambient light briefly haloing his pallid grey skin from within the confines of the hood on his slate grey cowl.

Trystama adds, "And Lord Thrassus Feydark."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "I have to get my House duties in somehow."

Thrassus says, "Likewise."

Opalina quietly says, "For those who don't know me I am Opalina from Icemule. I am doing some research on town defences."

Raelee narrows her eyes slightly, studying Trystama with a cool, analytical gaze.

Speaking charmingly to Opalina, Trystama greets, "Well met, Opalina."

Speaking warmly to Thrassus, Xanthium says, "It's been too long."

Vaemyr nods at Opalina.

Vaemyr smiles.

Opalina curtsies.

Thrassus nods at Xanthium.

Trystama says, "Icemule is another town I have never set foot within, although I have heard a little here or there."

Thrassus says, "Indeed. I've been busy."

Speaking to Opalina, Vaemyr says, "Glad to see you in the landing Councilor."

Trystama asks, "Oh, where did the owl go?"

Vaemyr ponders.

(Kayse stands at the back of the crowd, a calculated look in her eyes as she observes everyone gathered.)

Opalina quietly says, "The Landing is a great city."

Trystama murmurs, "I did not even give it its promised banana bread."

Speaking to Trystama, Raelee says, "If I am here, the owl does not need to be."
.
Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "The Landing is diverse, despite being rather small and a recent settlement. At least, recent by a certain measure."

Xorus says, "Often one wears fur when setting feet in Icemule."

Thrassus says, "There might have been a bakery cart overturned somewhere."

Opalina quietly says, "I try to visit often."

Thrassus snickers.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Probably off to find more people to feed him."

Speaking to Raelee, Trystama says, "Ah. The Magister."

Opalina agrees with Xorus.

Speaking to Trystama, Raelee says, "Correct."

Xanthium says, "Oh! Sorry."

Speaking to Raelee, Trystama says, "I am Trys. It is nice to meet you."

Xanthium says, "This is Magister Raelee Svala, from the Hall of Mages."

Raelee glances at Xanthium.

Speaking to Trystama, Raelee says, "As she said."

Trystama repeats, "Magister Raelee Svala."

Raelee nods at Trystama.

Trystama smiles brilliantly at Raelee.

Speaking to Raelee, Xanthium says, "If you have other titles, you'll have to inform me for the next time."

Xanthium smiles at Raelee.

Speaking to Xanthium, Raelee says, "That will suffice."

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama says, "You are already quite valuable; thank you for the assistance."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "Emissaries unite, yes?"

Trystama says, "So as I was saying... I was considering that we should have a gathering next week or the one after."

Trystama nods gratefully at Xanthium.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Perhaps you can repay the service sometime, with your lion and his gathered."

Trystama demurs, "Probably next week."

Trystama says, "It is better to start early."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Trystama says, "I am considering Niiman."

Speaking to Trystama, you ask, "What would you like our help with regarding it?"

Speaking to you, Trystama says, "I will need to be introduced to all those hidden gems this town has to offer and perhaps some of the bakers and such."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Certainly. And if you are interested in continuing to reach out and make connections, there are several groups here in town that host events and lectures."

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama says, "Oh, certainly. Send me all the invitations, please."

You nod understandingly at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "The Faendryl Enclave has a Masque next month, in fact."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Niiman would do well, as I believe the opening of a certain arena will happen the following day."

Thrassus says, "Oh, I had forgotten all about that."

Xanthium grins at Thrassus.

Speaking to Thrassus, Xanthium says, "See? I'm useful these days."

Trystama nods knowingly at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "I would not want anything that we offer to conflict with something of great importance."

Trystama says, "I will also need help to spread the word so that the individuals of this town would want to gather."

Xanthium nods at Trystama.

Trystama demurs, "And unlike my lion, I have no desire to stalk the streets in the pitch dark."

Trystama cheekily says, "So perhaps a bit earlier in the evening."

Vaemyr grins.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "I believe we here can assist with that. I'll ask my lover Brother Blud to spread word in his circles as well."

You offer, "We can hang posters and such. There are many people who like to talk in the town square--I am sure the information will be spread."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Indeed, that might suit many."

Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama enthuses, "That sounds wonderful."
.
Speaking charmingly to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "I do as I can to support the needs of the people."

Xanthium says, "Ivasians are talented at many things, including enthusiasm."

Speaking to you, Trystama says, "I appreciate all that you offer, Kayse Thaellian."

Trystama says, "At the Darkstone Bay Consortium, we wish to support all to greater prosperity."

Speaking to Trystama, you insist, "Just Kayse is fine."

You smile.

Thrassus nods at Trystama.

Trystama says, "And getting to know each other is a good step."

Raelee takes a moment to observe Trystama.

Vaemyr nods slowly at Trystama.

Trystama smiles pleasantly at Kayse.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Ahh, one other thing, I umm... recomend staying inside the town tonight... just in case."

Trystama says, "I will be available here and there throughout the evenings of the next span of time."

Speaking concernedly to Vaemyr, Trystama asks, "In... case?"

Thrassus waves his hand in a dismissive gesture.

Thrassus says, "Nothing to worry abouot, really."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Yes, we also get the normal amount of violent intrusions and blood-soaked nightmares running amuk."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "There's going to be some magic going on about a bit ways away, that's all, just in case something goes wrong..."

Xanthium smiles at Thrassus.

Speaking quietly to Thrassus, Xanthium says, "You have the most langorious perception, gorgeous."

Thrassus snickers at Xanthium.
Speaking to Xanthium, Trystama asks, "I'm sure that there are ... plausible ways to ...explain that?"

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "I'm sure Amos knows about what is probably happening, if you wish for more details, he does have his ways of finding out secrets."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "Well. I have it on good authority that this Silvergate has excellent shutters."

Thrassus says, "It will all be fine as long as nobody does anything particularly rash."

Vaemyr winks at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Sort of. The former owner of the bath house and merchant turned out to be a self-titled Blood God and is on a mission to elevate himself to a seat of ultimate power."

Thrassus shrugs.

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Xorus raises an eyebrow.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "That it does."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "And occasionally he drops by for...ah, supplies."

Xanthium says, "And to chat by the fire."

Trystama says, "I am ... a bit speechless."

Trystama says, "Clearly there are some things I need to be caught up on and quickly."

Vaemyr chuckles.

Thrassus says, "Freely given supplies, I must point out."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "You have to understand, this is the frontier."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "It's a wild life, at times. Fun, though."

Speaking to Xanthium, Vaemyr says, "Ahh no need to air all the town's dirty laundry that quickly."
Trystama smoothly says, "I'm sure all is well and the powerful within this town can handle .. it all."

You nod faintly at Trystama.

Vaemyr nods slowly.

Speaking to Vaemyr, Xanthium says, "She said she's from the Empire, Vaemyr, I'm sure she's used to weird circumstances."

Xorus says, "Grishom Stone is a gentleman and a scholar. He helps us when he has time to get away from it all."

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Xanthium!

You glance at Xorus and unsuccessfully try to stifle your grin.

Vaemyr glances at Xorus.

Thrassus nods at Xorus.

Xanthium grins at Xorus.

Xorus says, "Ah, tequila."

Xanthium says, "He did some nice merchant work, once upon a time."

Trystama asks, "Grishom Stone ist he owner of the bath house?"

Speaking to Xorus, Vaemyr says, "Uh huh, lets forget the murder and sacrifices."

Xanthium says, "He was, I am not sure if he still is."

Xorus nods at Trystama.

Xanthium ponders.

Trystama faintly says, "Well."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "He was at one point."

Vaemyr nods.

Trystama says, "I assure you, there are few who do not know who Grishom Stone is."
Vaemyr grins.

Vaemyr nods.

Speaking to Trystama, Thrassus says, "Oh, if you are from the Empire, be prepared for quite a bit of rancor to be directed at you from some circles."

Trystama says, "I was not quite aware that is who you were discussing."

Thrassus nods at Trystama.

Xorus says, "Yes. There was once one there, owned by a fellow named Cholgar. But Stone's Baths are far more lavish."

Speaking to Trystama, you say, "He has a way of making himself...known."

Xanthium says, "It's a nice place, I sleep there whenever I'm not in the Temple."

Speaking to Thrassus, Trystama says, "I may be from the lands of the Empire, but I am not -from- the Empire."

Trystama smiles charmingly at Thrassus.

Thrassus nods understandingly.

Xanthium grins at Trystama.

Thrassus says, "I see."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "He's very handsome, isn't he?"

Trystama coyly says, "I am sure you do."

Thrassus begins chuckling at Xanthium!

Xanthium flashes a quick grin at Thrassus.

Speaking dryly to Thrassus, Raelee says, "One grows used to the rancor."

Trystama runs her gaze over Thrassus and winks at Xanthium.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Oh I've been making a fool out of myself over him for..."

Xanthium looks thoughtfully at Thrassus.
Xanthium asks, "What, about six years, now?"

Speaking to Raelee, Thrassus says, "I suppose that is true. One can get used to anything after so long."

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Xanthium!

Xorus says, "Grishom offered to heal our former marshal, Thrayzar, after my wife returned a pet of his to him. When she was Mayor."

Speaking to Xanthium, Thrassus says, "Somewhere thereabouts, yes."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "He's a charming flirt but a total tease."

Speaking candidly to Xanthium, Trystama murmurs, "It would be easier to know if he were not to have his face covered so."

Speaking to Thrassus, Raelee says, "... perhaps it is also easier when one also opts to not care."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "Do you know how often I've told him that?"

Thrassus snickers at Raelee.

Speaking to Xorus, Trystama asks, "...a pet?"

You think to yourself, "This obsession with Stone."

Xorus says, "Yes. His name is Glethad."

You stare upward.

You place your hand on your crystalline ampule.

Trystama faintly asks, "A person as a pet? And she returned this person to bonds of slavery to Grishom Stone?"

Speaking quietly to Trystama, Xanthium asserts, "I am from New Ta'Faendryl. But I spent most of my time alone. I know what it means to feel like a fish out of water."

Trystama quietly opines, "That is quite a lot to take in."

Thrassus says, "Oh, Glethad was quite eager to return to him."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "This is a welcoming place, despite its troubles."

Xanthium nods once at Trystama.

Trystama asks, "Eager? To be a pet?"

Xorus says, "Oh, he is well within Stone's thrall anyway. But Stone would have broken him out of the Brass Tower."

Trystama echoes, "The Brass Tower."

Speaking quietly to Vaemyr, Xanthium says, "And you chided me for being chatty."

Xanthium gives Vaemyr a little prod between the shoulder blades.

Trystama crossly states, "Amos has not been putting nearly enough into his missives."

Xanthium laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement from Trystama.

Thrassus says, "That's the prison the town places special detainees within."

Speaking to Xanthium, Vaemyr exclaims, "I said no such thing!"

Vaemyr chuckles to himself.

Xorus says, "We imprisoned Stone there once, in fact."

Trystama says, "I shall chide him later."

Trystama slyly says, "He will probably enjoy it."

Speaking neutrally to Trystama, you say, "We've seen how people moon over his charisma and looks---there are plenty who practically worship him and his ways as well."

Thrassus says, "It has quite the bloody history."

Speaking to Xorus, Trystama asks, "Why would you imprison someone you claim is so helpful?"

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "You have walked into a bunch of...local historians, really. Well, in Xorus's case, not so much local as everything throughout space and time."

Xanthium nods at Trystama.

Trystama impishly says, "That sounds both terrifying and wonderful for my goals."
Xorus says, "He was not so helpful at the time. He was wearing these bracers that inhibited his magic."

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Xanthium!

Trystama says, "That explains why you were capable of imprisoning him, I suppose."

Speaking to you, Xanthium says, "He is quite handsome, it's true. However..."

Xorus says, "Indeed. He was also less powerful back then, and was in bad shape from extensive torture."

Thrassus says, "I doubt it could be repeated, to be honest. He's quite a bit stronger now than he was then."

Thrassus nods at Xorus.

Speaking quietly to you, Xanthium says, "We tried to shelter the pilgrims who came to see him in the Ivas Temple, to keep them safe from those who feared him and his influence."

Thrassus nods at Xanthium.

Speaking to you, Xanthium says, "It wasn't their fault, they had been told he could heal them, so they came here."

Xanthium folds her hands behind her back.

Trystama says, "Someone needs to write this all down into a book for me."

Speaking evenly to Xanthium, you say, "That is not the case for all of those that wish to follow him though."

Xanthium says, "And they were with us for two weeks or more. In our care."

Thrassus says, "Too bad some locals tried to slaughter them anyway."

Thrassus snickers at Trystama.

Speaking to you, Xanthium says, "No. He arrived at the end of those two weeks."

Xorus says, "There is a book on the subject. It is titled 'Beyond the Arkati'."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "As for why we would imprison him, I'll pose a question would you prefer an extremely dangerous person that may bring you great harm to roam free because occasionally he does you a few favors, or would you prefer him imprisoned where they would no longer be a danger at all, but you no longer recieve those favors."

Xanthium says, "And they all left to follow him. I...do not think they are still alive."

Thrassus says, "Oh, I am certain they are."

Speaking to Xorus, Trystama asks, "I will ask Amos if he can acquire a copy for me - unless someone here has one available?"

Xorus says, "Not on my person. The museum may have a copy."

Speaking to you, Xanthium says, "So no. Grishom Stone is powerful and compelling, but I also think he's a murdering fiend and we shouldn't forget that."

Speaking to Xorus, Raelee says, "It does, in the library."

Vaemyr nods at Raelee.

Speaking charmingly to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "This question sounds like you are a lecturer and I am a pupil."

You say, "I never said we should. That was my point."

You nod once at Xanthium.

Xanthium leans softly against Thrassus.

Thrassus snickers.

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Trystama!

Xorus says, "But, yes. Stone intends on finally making good on his end tonight. Or so I hear."

Raelee says, "... it should be interesting."

Raelee nods faintly at Xorus.

Trystama asks, "His end of ... becoming more powerful than the Arkati?"

Xorus nods at Raelee.

Speaking to Xorus, you say, "It doesn't seem Stone will be involved much."

Trystama says, "I am not certain shutters at Silvergate will be enough for that sort of magic."

Xorus says, "Of curing Thrayzar."

Speaking to Xorus, you say, "He was pushed out of the situation."

Xorus asks, "Was he?"

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "Then use brandy."

Trystama faintly repeats, "Of curing... Thrayzar."

Xanthium grins at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Raelee says, "Fulfilling one small promise in his grand scheme. I do not expect any ascension tonight."

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "More of a gauge to see how you feel on that scale, I know many who would choose the former, as the certain present is more important than an uncertain future, and I know many who choose the later, who believe in securing a future even if it means certain sacrifices, I was just curious where you fell on that scale of present vs future."

Speaking to Xorus, you say, "Akenna and Missoni are going to conduct some magic to help him."

Speaking to Raelee, Trystama says, "That is a relief, truly."

Trystama dryly says, "It may disrupt my gathering."

Xorus says, "Interesting."

Speaking hesitantly to Xorus, you say, "I have been reaching out to Rodnay in hopes we have someone to help with the mind aspect."

Xorus nods.

Speaking to Trystama, Raelee says, "... this is a rather discombobulated load of information. You should seek the library."

Xorus says, "I almost cured Thrayzar once, a few years ago."

Xanthium gazes into Thrassus's eyes.

Trystama says, "I was told that there were many threads to untangle, but I did not realize it was a ball of quite this size."

Vaemyr grins at Trystama.

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "To answer your question more directly..."

Vaemyr says, "No one comes to this town for a simple life, that's for sure."

Speaking to Trystama, you assure, "You just need more than one day here. You'll understand in time."

Xanthium says, "Have Xorus, the Magister, Cruxophim and Thrassus take turns on stage, telling their segment of it."

Speaking to Xorus, Thrassus says, "Yes, until some locals started slaughtering the images of his loved ones and disrupted things."

Speaking candidly to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "It is not my place to be philosophical at such a level. I will leave my lion to consider the angles."

Xorus nods at Thrassus.

Thrassus says, "Most unfortunate, that."

Vaemyr looks thoughtfully at Trystama.

(Raelee gives Xanthium an incredulous look.)

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "In any case, it means there will be a lot of curious people about to see what's going on with your party at Silvergate, no?"

Trystama quietly repeats, "Cruxophim."

Trystama says, "I do not believe I have heard that name this evening."

Thrassus says, "He is a former mayor of the town."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "He was the mayor here, when I first arrived to town. And our second undead one, I think?"

Thrassus says, "He's been quite busy of late, but he makes himself known on occasion still."
Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "A fair statement, although you may consider that honest opinions given to him could be helpful as well, this town does strive on it's free thinking, it's something that makes this place great."

Trystama gazes at Xanthium with wide eyes.

A young lad dashes in, hands Trystama a message and dashes off.

Vaemyr ponders.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "Isn't democracy grand?"

You glance appraisingly at Trystama.

Xanthium says, "Even the Graveyard gets representation."

Trystama says, "Oh, someone knew I was new to the area, I see."

Vaemyr grins at Xanthium.

Xanthium winks at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Trystama, you say, "Oh? News travels quickly."

Vaemyr says, "I'm sure Amos announced your arival to some others."

Vaemyr smiles.

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium says, "An invitation, I bet."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Trystama assures, "I will be taking in all that you say and passing along things to the Consortium as necessary. We are here to support the town."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Speaking to Trystama, Vaemyr says, "Indeed, I look forward to continued good relations."

Speaking encouragingly to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "We will make a member of you yet."

Vaemyr chuckles.

You nod encouragingly at Trystama.

Trystama says, "Before I ask for an escort to this Silvergate I've heard so much about..."

Trystama says, "As I remarked a little while ago, I will be around most evenings."

Speaking to Trystama, you say, "I would be interested in hearing more about the mission of the consortium. I was traveling when a lot of it was put in place. Not now of course."

Trystama says, "I will send out a message to the locals with my thoughts."

Speaking to you, Trystama says, "That sounds like a wonderful conversation for when I am not so tired."

You agree with Trystama.

Trystama continues, "And I do hope that people will have some locations in mind to show me for this gathering."

Vaemyr says, "I look forward to speaking some more then."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "Would you like us to show you Silvergate?"

Trystama says, "And perhaps some samples of food and drink from a variety of establishments."

Vaemyr nods at Trystama.

Trystama charmingly says, "And, of course, some more tidbits of local lore, stories, and ... apparently nightmares."

Vaemyr blinks.

Xanthium smiles.

Speaking to Trystama, you say, "Stories are my specialty."

You say, "All that can be arranged though. Many are eager to help."

Vaemyr says, "Let's avoid nightmares for now."

Xanthium coughs.

Speaking breezily to Vaemyr, Trystama says, "Apparently not possible in this town."

Speaking to Trystama, Xanthium asks, "Ready, then, Trys?"

Speaking to you, Trystama says, "You will be well prepared then, I think."

Trystama nods at Xanthium.
