Synopsis

Several ships come into view of Darkstone Bay, but instead of closing in, golden lights fly out toward the Black Sands--heralding the return of the Czag Pritz Tyrrax! He's brought a gift for Councilor Pookia, but she's unfortunately not present, so he frowns and puts it away.

He's heard of the Landing's problems with the Ember Vale reivers and has come for discussion with an offer of salting the sea with their ashes on the Landing's behalf. Thrassus explains that a specific warband is the problem while Sir Goldstr explains that most reivers are the Landing's friends; Tyrrax describes it as a dangerous position to be allies with reivers and krolvin at once. Tyrrax realizes that the "mayor child" Thadston won't like allying, but says they don't require him and will build a bridge of Imperial bodies if needed to forge to the Deadfall one day and attack Grishom Stone.

Missoni asks if Tyrrax can ensure the safety of the clan on Luinne Bheinn, but he laughs it off: "The only good reiver is dead reiver." He says the Landing faces many problems and enemies and asks if the mayor baby doesn't want more, since he (Tyrrax) wouldn't. Councilor Kiyna says the Landing can handle the reiver problem on its own and tells Tyrrax he should keep his eyes on defeating Stone, but Tyrrax says "you" (presumably referring to the whole Landing) have horrible luck at fixing things.

Tyrrax concludes by suggesting sending word to the mayor of his promise, of not wanting two swords against the krolvin in war (the reivers' and the Landing's), and says the Imperials are "always a sword at your throat[,] never to change"--but he's preparing since Stone will have many tricks and they need not face surprise reiver problems during that eventual battle.

Approaching Ships

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Thyrabos disk, a tuff-eared rusty red fox squirrel, the Kialeigh disk, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild crimson dog, an enraged wasteland spirit that is flying around, a black mastiff, a corroded gold box, a sinuous bone white serpent that is sitting, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the crab-shaped Rasson disk, a silver-tipped smoke grey wolf, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a corroded fork, a moldy orange cupcake, a black iron cauldron, a wrinkled sorrel jacket, a musty hide hood, the Katissa disk, a large acorn, a large acorn, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Flashes of lightning illuminate the wavering horizon of Darkstone Bay.

Kialeigh says, "Come here, Moose..."

Bellaja observes, "Everyone certainly seems on edge."

Speaking to her rusty red fox squirrel, Kialeigh says, "Yer gonna get blown away."

Kayse muses, "Not a good time to sail, I imagine."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "Especially if you're up the crow's nest."

Tikba uneasily says, "I am sure the boat would sink."

BOOM! A clap of thunder rolls across the sky.

Missoni observes, "Quite a spring storm."

Lylia admits, "I do like arriving with a powerful clap of thunder."

Kialeigh says, "Dramatic...."

Lylia says, "Feels quite dramatic."

Lylia exclaims, "Just so!"

Kialeigh says, "That usually foreshadows some dastardly vendetta..."

Cryheart says, "Perhaps."

Kialeigh says, "My stress meter is far lower than normal lately what with having a friggin Scarab living inside me..."

Speaking to Kialeigh, Bellaja says, "That's a story most don't live to tell."

Lylia says, "The greatest challenge for me was sleep."

Speaking deeply to Kialeigh, Thyrabos says, "Just pry it out."

Speaking to Thyrabos, Lylia says, "It is not possible with these."

Speaking flatly to Thyrabos, Kialeigh says, "How helpful."

Hiea asks, "Can I get some healing?"

A jagged bolt of lightning carves across the sky, bleeding the night from black to white to momentarily light up the outline of a ship rising and falling upon the horizon of the bay.

Kialeigh says, "I'm busy freaking out."

Vaemyr says, "Hmm."

Thrassus asks, "Who is it now?"

Cryheart says, "Get ready to head to the dock."

[General] Ralkau asks, "What's with the storm?"

Bellaja says, "There IS a boat out there on the bay."

Missoni lightly says, "A busy port."

Tikba muses, "It cannot be a fisher."

Vaemyr says, "Not the best sailing weather..."

Kialeigh asks, "Yer not forgetting bout me are ya?"

Speaking to Tikba, Lylia says, "Not with a craft that large."

Cryheart says, "Ok..heading to the dock."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Heading to the north dock."

Cryheart says, "Movine out."

Speaking to Missoni, Bellaja says, "I'd be hurrying to dock too, if I were them."

[travel]

[Wehnimer's, North Dock]

The dock's planks are dull and weathered from the salt spray of many seasons. Northward beyond the massive sea gates, a flock of ice geese passes, silhouetted against the sky over the waters of Darkstone Bay. The hulk of a derelict coastal sailer is tethered to the end of the pier. You also see a portly portmaster, a stack of empty crates, a wide ramp, a rope-lined wooden plank bridge that leads to the archway of a large moored white-masted ship and a huge grey imperial warship.

Kialeigh says, "Alright I'm ready... in case it's Elidal."

White hot lightning crackles on the horizon like the skittering legs of ashen spiders. The bright flashes briefly draw light to two more ships joining the first.

Leafiara asks, "Err... why would Elidal be sailing in when he's over past the forest?"

Vaemyr says, "Not sure how Elidal would of ended up on a ship..."

Lylia says, "I have no idea who would be putting to port in this weather."

Irval says, "Hmm."

Kiyna asks, "A group? Or a fleet? Are there more?"

Thrassus asks, "Was Sablo coming overland or via ship?"

Tikba says, "Perhaps they have come a ways, and the weather has worsened."

Earthdiver says, "Perhaps they are in persuit."

Kialeigh says, "Maybe it's the krolvins..."

Earthdiver says, "Pursuit."

Cryheart says, "Could be a chase and pursuit."

Vaemyr asks, "We weren't expecting supplies from Solhaven or Vornavis were we?"

Leafiara slowly asks, "You all do realize that many ships of all kinds dock here regularly, yes?"

Cryheart says, "Nae to my knowledge."

Tikba says, "We must try to see their banners."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna says, "Not that I recall."

A grumbling thunderclap ripples across the sky and three more ships come into view, gliding along the black waters of the bay.

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "In this type of weather though? usually better to stay out at see, so easy to get pushed against the rocks."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Of course. I just think most sailors would have noted the winds and been long-since docked."

Speaking in Sylvankind, Kelfyr asks something you don't understand.

Bellaja says, "But.."

Vaemyr says, "Ok... now there's six..."

Kialeigh says, "Quite the fleet..."

Thrassus says, "Six of them."

Cryheart says, "Interesting."

Lylia observes, "Most ships weather storms like this out to sea, not near land, as they could more easily be dashed against rocks or shallows."

Bellaja says, "I suppose not."

Lylia says, "I am quite aware it is a port. Just not ideal weather for docking."

Speaking to Lylia, Bellaja says, "Especially the Krolvin."

Kiyna says, "Don't look like krolvin ships at first glance... but it's hard to see..."

Irval asks, "Maybe they are porting is because of the weather?"

Xorus says, "They think it makes them look tough and daring to sail in during a thunder storm."

Kialeigh yells, "Unless you have whiskey go away!"

Speaking to Lylia, Bellaja says, "I hear around Glavolen the waters are always like this."

Bellaja sheepishly says, "But I can't say for sure."

The storm continues to flash and churn along the skies. The ships seem to slow, but can still be spotted by bolts of lightning that sizzle in the night.

Kialeigh says, "Kinda came on suddenly... before we were all commenting how beautiful it was..."

Leafiara admits, "Part of me would prefer the worries are made manifest, but I'm just saying there might not be a need to ready the swords yet..."

Lylia agrees, "The seas were certainly rough when we were there."

Irval asks, "Anyone see the colors yet?"

Irval says, "Standard that which they fly for those of a less nautical understanding."

Speaking to Bernadette, Tikba says, "I have something for you."

Bernadette softly asks, "Me?"

Earthdiver says, "Just in case they don't see us."

Tikba offers Bernadette a pewter ballista statuette.

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Bernadette accepts Tikba's ballista statuette.

Speaking to Bernadette, Tikba says, "In honor of your efforts."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Bellaja asks, "Do we want them to see us?"

Bernadette softly says, "Ahh tanks."

Cryheart says, "Perhaps."

Bernadette softly says, "Tanks milady."

Irval asks, "Im curious though, I hope this isnt a response to the Bodohal incident. Perhaps they could be part of his group?"

Bernadette softly says, "Ill treasure dis."

Speaking to Bellaja, Earthdiver says, "I think so, yes."

Speaking warmly to Bernadette, Tikba says, "Thank you for your aid with the ballisa."

Speaking to a portly portmaster, Bellaja says, "Lots of people could be on there."

Speaking thoughtfully to Kayse, Kiyna says, "You know what we should propose? A large gazebo near the dock to stand under while awaiting ships coming in."

Bernadette softly says, "I does wot me kin among menny."

Speaking slowly to Kiyna, Kayse says, "I'm confused why ships coming into a harbor is that odd."

Speaking to Kayse, Kiyna says, "I didn't say it was odd. Just that it rains a lot here. Always nice to have a roof to stand under."

Kayse offers, "The Cutlass is right there."

Roelon deeply says, "Or rather, we sit and watch these ships, when others could be dockin' else where."

Speaking to Kiyna, Kelfyr says, "I'm sure if you position yourself a little to the left, Cryheart will block most of the blowing rain."

Goldstr asks, "Any has eyes at da Black Sands?"

Kiyna says, "I did spend most of my day in the desert, so I'm not unhappy with the rain. Tonight, anyway."

Cryheart says, "Not to my knowledge."

Bellaja whispers something to Kiyna.

A flash of golden light appears within the distant storm.

Kialeigh says, "'Let's get you tucked in, Moose.. yer gonna drown... or blow away..."

Vaemyr says, "Uhhh."

Bellaja asks, "Does that look like those motes we saw the other night?"

Tikba uneasily says, "Difficult to say."

Speaking to Bellaja, Kiyna says, "Could also be Tyrrax."

Missoni says, "A bit of spring lightning, only."

Cryheart says, "Oh...that is all we need."

Cryheart says, "Tyrrax to come here."

A small fleck of golden light begins to float across the waters of Darkstone Bay.

Speaking to Cryheart, Bellaja says, "It was gol.."

Vaemyr says, "Oh geeze."

Kelfyr says, "Huh."

Kialeigh says, "Those... specks look familiar."

Kiyna says, "...Looking more like Tyrrax now."

Vaemyr says, "That would..."

Bellaja says, "See. It's coming."

Perigourd says, "Indeed they do.."

Leafiara says, "Tyrrax did says he wouldn't be attacking us again, though, so..."

Leafiara corrects, "Say, rather."

Thrassus asks, "Perhaps he can help with the reiver problem?"

Vaemyr says, "Aye he'd probably have more than six ships if this was an attack."

Kayse says, "There has been gold motes of light around town since Iliyaas."

Vaemyr says, "Ok over to the sands..."

Cryheart says, "To the black sands."

Speaking to Kiyna, Leafiara says, "Guess you'll need that gazebo out there too."

[travel]

Speaking to Kayse, Kiyna says, "From the Reach and generally in the sky, yes... but a little golden mote from a ship? Awfully suspiciously like..."

Goldstr says, "Ah Do be Black Sands."

[The Black Sands]

A narrow strip of black sand winds between the pulsing sea and the huddled rocks. You look out at the dark waters of the bay, set against the grey sky. With the black sands beneath your feet and the frozen black lava behind you, you feel as though all the color has been blotted out of the world. You also see a greater kappa that appears dead, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild crimson dog, a massive snowy white tiger, the waters of Darkstone Bay and a tall wooden archery tower.

A fleck of golden light draws closer.

Vaemyr says, "Well... it."

Vaemyr says, "Is coming here..."

Tikba says, "You must stand beneath the archery tower to avoid the rain."

Leafiara calls, "Hello out there!"

Speaking to Kayse, Kiyna says, "For what it's worth, I hope you're right. Really don't want to deal with Tyrrax right now..."

Vaemyr says, "That really looks like Tyrrax's rings, but I guess someone could of taken them."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We went to the black sands."

Speaking to Kiyna, Kayse says, "I didn't say it was or wasn't. I just made an observation about the gold light."

Speaking to Kayse, Kiyna acknowledges, "Fair enough."

Goldstr says, "Tyraxx might nae be leadeer dese days."

Bellaja whispers something to Earthdiver.

Tyrrax Returns

The golden light zips across the waves and begins to expand outward like a bright yellow oval, stretching wider and wider before it touches the first inch of sand. Energy crackles from within its center, before a krolvin steps out of it and into view. Tyrrax grins.

You see Czag Pritz Tyrrax.

He appears to be a Krolvin.

He is short. He appears to be young and robust. He has dark-rimmed deep marigold eyes and bluish-grey skin. He has thick, silken indigo blue hair that covers his head and extends across his shoulders and down his back. He has an ape-like face, a flat nose and a stout muscular build.

He is in good shape.

He is wearing a shrunken gnome skull amulet, a faded necklace of jagged razern teeth, a stained deep blue jacket adorned with ornate gold-threaded epaulets, a sharp-edged dented mithril shield, a stark white hand-held pylon, a crimson-streaked urglaes bracer, a series of eight rune-etched golden rings, a blackened mithril mesh belt, a gold-trimmed black hide hip-pouch, a burnished narrow wood scabbard, a pair of grey fitted trousers with bands of ebony-hued piping, and some wide cuffed steel-toed black hide boots.

Kialeigh says, "Great...."

Speaking affably to Tyrrax, Leafiara greets, "Good eve there. It's been a while, so welcome back."

Kiyna flatly says, "Thadston will be delighted."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr says, "Been a while..."

Wisps of golden light coil up from Tyrrax's rings.

Leafiara curiously inquires, "What brings you here tonight?"

Tyrrax grins.

Irval asks, "Why are you here again instead of on your quest?"

Kialeigh says, "Ouch..."

Tyrrax asks, "We are allies, no?"

Cryheart asks, "What brings ye to these shores again, Tyrrax?"

Tikba mildly agrees, "Yes."

Leafiara muses, "Against Grishom Stone at some point, sure."

Vaemyr says, "Against Stone at least we certainly are."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "We do has peace."

Tyrrax withdraws a small pouch stained with grease from the depths of his jacket.

Tyrrax asks, "Where is the squid girl?"

Stormyrain says, "She is not here."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse asks, "Yardie?"

Irval asks, "Did you find the star?"

Leafiara sadly says, "She's been away for a few months."

Speaking to Kayse, Stormyrain says, "Pookia."

Tyrrax points at Stormyrain.

Tyrrax asks, "She is not here?"

Lylia says, "She put herself in a burlap sack and pulled the top over her head, then cast herself into the bay, last I heard."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse says, "She has been away for a bit."

Tyrrax frowns.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Stormyrain says, "She is not here."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr says, "She I believe went swimming and never came back yet... many month swim."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse asks, "What did you need?"

Lylia says, "Not my chosen form of leadership, but what can one do."

Tyrrax stows the greasy pouch back into his jacket.

Tyrrax says, "I had a gift."

Irval asks, "Had?"

Speaking to Irval, Vaemyr says, "Squid rings."

Tyrrax says, "I still do. But she is not here."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kiyna says, "I could pass it on for you, if you like. When I see her next."

Tyrrax says, "No."

Tikba politely suggests, "We have a post office that might pass your message on."

Kelfyr says, "You know, with a box and some stamps, you could have saved a trip in a storm."

Speaking agreeably to Tikba, Leafiara says, "That's a good idea."

Kialeigh asks, "Where's the fun in that?"

Reiver Problem

Tyrrax says, "That is not only why I have come."

Kayse evenly says, "I doubt he traveled all this way to deliver squid rings."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Irval asks, "What makes you think he didnt bring the storm?"

Speaking gruffly to Tyrrax, Perigourd says, "Then spit it out."

Tyrrax says, "I am told of your problem."

Vaemyr asks, "Which one?"

Kialeigh amusedly asks, "Which ones?"

Thrassus says, "I suspect I know which one."

Irval says, "The Reiver one undoubtedly."

Tyrrax says, "It is true, you have many problems."

Tyrrax holds his sides and lets out a rumbling belly laugh.

Tyrrax says, "Many of own making."

Kialeigh says, "Not polite to point that out."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr says, "I umm... can't argue with that."

Tyrrax asks, "Polite?"

Leafiara says, "He wasn't even the one who brought it up."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr asks, "Ye speakin a da rogue Reiver cult eh?"

Tyrrax asks, "How is your mayor child?"

Kialeigh holds up her hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

Kialeigh says, "Deskless."

Stormyrain flatly says, "Alive."

Thrassus says, "Still throwing furniture about."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse says, "He missed you, I am sure."

Leafiara lightly says, "Same as ever, really."

Tyrrax shakes his head.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Irval says, "Bigger."

Tikba says, "He does not change. It is often thus."

Vaemyr says, "He... punched a Gryphon out of the sky and rode it around."

Tyrrax says, "Yes. I have come to..."

Tyrrax ponders.

Tyrrax asks, "Discussion?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna says, "He did do that."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "She do fas a sickness."

Tyrrax says, "Have discussion of your problem."

Tyrrax says, "The reivers."

Thrassus says, "That is good to hear."

Perigourd says, "Hardly."

Tyrrax says, "We can salt the sea with their ashes for you."

Xorus says, "Lovely."

Tyrrax asks, "Do you accept?"

Tyrrax peers quizzically at Xorus.

Irval says, "And what will that cost...."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse asks, "And what do you want in return?"

Thrassus says, "It's one specific tribe of them that is the issue."

Kialeigh amusedly says, "Prolly enough salt already in there..."

Lylia replies, "They have hoped to do the same with you, but on land."

Cryheart says, "Not all reivers are being a problem."

Tyrrax asks, "Tribe?"

Irval says, "Ember Vale."

Irval says, "Hagson."

Thrassus says, "One warband."

Xorus says, "For some reason they do not let me make all such decisions."

Leafiara considers, "This sounds like something that should go to the mayor, to be honest."

Cryheart says, "Haidan."

Chandrellia says, "Wait wait, its only the Ember Vale thats the issue not the others."

Tyrrax says, "Warband."

Tyrrax nods at Thrassus.

Tyrrax says, "I understand."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "Most Reivers be our friends, jess da Rogue cult."

Tyrrax asks, "You are allies with reivers and me?"

Tyrrax says, "That seems a dangerous..."

Tikba mildly says, "We are ready enough to destroy entirely one tribe of reivers, but timid enough to imagine that we should then spare their brothers."

Thrassus says, "They have a blood shaman leading them."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "I remember when we made a choice without consulting Thadston, many windows broke that night."

Tyrrax says, "...dangerous position for you."

Ensayn amusedly says, "We've never been ones to choose the easy path."

Cryheart says, "We deal with it."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara mentions, "And last time people were considering striking a deal with Tyrrax, Thadston threatened people with banishment if they did so without notifying him first."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "Actually I would fight wid da Reivers ainst most a yer kind."

Lylia counters, "The safest place in a great storm is at its center."

Speaking to Goldstr, Perigourd says, "Some of us already have."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Lylia says, "If the tempest rages around us, it does not touch us. At least, if we are agile enough to move as we must."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia asks, "We strive for peace with our neighbors, normaly, I mean we did set you free yes?"

Thrassus says, "We would need to confer with Thadson first, agreed."

Kialeigh says, "This conversation needs far more alcohol."

Ensayn grumbles, "Don't like water in my whiskey."

Tyrrax asks, "Your mayor child will not like such things, yes?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kiyna says, "I believe in this case the situation is within our ability to handle on our own. I think Thadston will agree, but as has been said, we will need to ask him."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse says, "The Mayor may not be willing to negotiate or accept your help. He announced a few days ago some Krol attacked some ships out at sea last week."

Leafiara affirms, "He definitely won't."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia says, "Its hard telling not knowing, his opinons change day to day."

Tyrrax says, "We do not..."

Chamorr heartily says, "Late to da party, who we whackin."

Tyrrax ponders.

Tyrrax says, "We do not require him."

Goldstr exclaims, "No one yet Bear!"

Chamorr heartily says, "Dang."

Chandrellia says, "Welp all I'm gonna say is, thi sis all on you all, I'll step back to rear of the group, I am by nomeans agreeing to any choces made here tonight."

Perigourd says, "The krolvin have done enough to the reiver people."

Tyrrax says, "We will build a bridge of imperial bodies if needed to forge ahead to the Deadfall."

Stormyrain asks, "We do not require..who?"

Tikba mildly says, "Yes, it is time for us to begin where they have left off."

Tyrrax says, "The reivers will be troublesome. Cannot allow."

Thrassus asks, "Even the ones that are apparently following Arachne?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr says, "Honestly... you may wish to speak with Elidal if you want to make more deals about it... I know it seems strange, but they honestly are whom have more of the Reiver problem than us. And then perhaps they will understand then when we all march on the deadfall."

Thrassus says, "That is true."

Raelee quietly mutters, "... this 'imperial body' is not a bridge plank."

Tyrrax says, "You can be."

Tyrrax nods at Raelee.

Tyrrax holds his sides and lets out a rumbling belly laugh.

Tyrrax says, "I.."

Thrassus says, "Elidal is one that prefers discussion before fighting."

Speaking evenly to Tyrrax, Raelee says, "Do try."

Chandrellia says, "And didnt Elindal already have a meeting with some Krolvin? I remember vaguely either seeing some or hearing about some."

Tyrrax searches the sky.

Tyrrax asks, "Jest?"

Tyrrax says, "Jest."

Tyrrax nods.

Xorus asks, "The Deadfall is guarded by a magic barrier. You have means for getting through it?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Perigourd says, "In poor taste."

Raelee says, "... I never do."

'Tyrrax says, "We will."

Speaking heartily to Tyrrax, Chamorr says, "Magisters have an odd sense a humor."

Tyrrax says, "Maybe we not require your mayor child."

Tyrrax says, "Maybe we grind the reivers to dust because we can, and we should."

Kialeigh asks, "Not scared of spiders are ya?"

Irval says, "What is it you want already Czag, I tire of these charads."

Ensayn thoughtfully says, "Don't touch the tavern."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "Ye came in oeace dis eve so ye may leave in peace, but we NAE needs yer help."

Tyrrax says, "Then sleep, boy."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Lylia says, "You do not need his permission, nor ours. You must wish something more of us."

Tyrrax nods at Irval.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Thrassus says, "I wouldn't object, personally."

Irval says, "You wish."

Tikba whispers something to Kayse.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Missoni asks, "What do you stand to gain?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kiyna says, "We can handle this problem on our own, thank you. If you have time to come ask if we need help, you have time to figure out how to pierce the Deadfall. Focus on that."

Kayse whispers something to Tikba.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia says, "If the Krolvin wish to act upon their own accord we can not stop you, but if we as a town are going to work with you, then all, parties need to be infor. Wait, no longer a coincilor, you all do you."

Bellaja says, "Definitely something not yet said."

Tyrrax says, "We do not need your dagger in our back, when we stir the pot of reiver stuff."

Tyrrax nods at Lylia.

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia whispers aloud, "Got any popcorn?"

Lylia murmurs, "I see."

Thrassus says, "We might wish to consider this is the best of many bad options in dealing with this issue."

Tyrrax asks, "Maybe you swaddle your mayor child and keep him asleep?"

Tyrrax smirks.

Chamorr heartily says, "Working with da krol."

Chamorr heartily says, "Nice."

Kialeigh amusedly says, "We do know how to put people to sleep....."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Perigourd says, "We can happily place the dagger in your front, if you like."

Leafiara considers, "Normally I'd be surprised if he doesn't have ears here already, but... I suppose he's preoccupied with many things."

Speaking patiently in Krolvin to Tyrrax, Kayse repeats something you don't understand.

Lylia loftily says, "I am not 'working with' a scorpion if I walk a wide berth around it instead of striking at it."

Speaking in Krolvin, Tyrrax barks something you don't understand.

Tyrrax nods at Kayse.

Kayse nods understandingly at Tyrrax.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia says, "Talk down about Thadston all you want, he has done a lot for this town. do I always agree with how he handels things, not at all. He is however the Mayor and esentialy the leader of this town just as you are with yor clan."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Earthdiver says, "Not all reivers...and not all Krolvin."

Earthdiver says, "You are not monoliths."

Speaking carefully in Krolvin to Tyrrax, Kayse barks something you don't understand.

Speaking heartily to Tyrrax, Chamorr says, "I'll stand with the Reivers against ya."

Speaking in Krolvin, Tyrrax barks something you don't understand.

Tyrrax turns an inquisitive ear toward Thrassus.

Thrassus nods at Tyrrax.

Kayse explains, "He said the Reivers are a threat. And it's not out of the goodness of their hearts. They are flat out their enemy."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Missoni asks, "Can you ensure the safety of the clan on Luinne Bheinn?"

Tyrrax laughs at Missoni!

Missoni says, "I thought not."

Kayse adds, "He has not answered if he wants anything when I asked again."

Tyrrax says, "The only good reiver is dead reiver."

Cryheart says, "So ye intend to attack all Reivers."

Tyrrax nods at Missoni.

Missoni frowns.

Missoni mutters, "Run along, then."

Goldstr says, "As we mosly say bout Krol."

Tyrrax asks, "You mayor child wife?"

Tyrrax peers quizzically at Missoni.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia asks, "Its a good thing we dont see it that with teh Krolfin, lest you end up in the hangmans noose eh?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Missoni says, "No."

Speaking helpfully to Tyrrax, Tikba explains, "Casiphia could not be here, as she is unwell."

Lylia says, "His 'wife' is bleakstone in the semblance of a former mayor."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Missoni says, "Perhaps you forget the faces of the people you had killed."

Tyrrax says, "Many problems you face, many enemies."

Tyrrax asks, "Mayor baby does not want more enemies, yes?"

Irval asks, "Do you honeslty think insulting the Mayor is winning you any points here?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia says, "Is that athreat against the Landing, answer carefully."

Cryheart says, "We will dealt with it."

Lylia smoothly says, "Few people wish more enemies."

Speaking heartily to Stormyrain, Chamorr asks, "Can we whack him yet?"

Tyrrax says, "In the field, we do not wish more enemies. You should not either."

Speaking to Chamorr, Stormyrain says, "Not if we wish to keep the peace between our town and the krol, and have them help with Grishom."

Irval says, "You're a warrior. Id expect more honor from one who was offered honorable combat."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Perigourd says, "Then leave the field."

Irval says, "By said "baby" mayoer."

Goldstr says, "A course."

Lylia says, "Yet there is a whole wide world of those who are neither enemies nor friends. We pass like ships far to sea."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr says, "We certainly don't need more enemies, no."

Tikba politely says, "We are always grateful for aid, and we have little desire for more enemies."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Bellaja says, "True allies don't make demands. They work together and suggest compromise."

Speaking firmly to Tyrrax, Kiyna says, "This problem we can handle on our own. You should keep your eyes on the goal of defeating Grishom Stone. Leave this to us."

Tyrrax asks, "What is matter then? Do you wish glory too?"

Tyrrax asks, "Do you want place at our sides?"

Tyrrax says, "It can be so."

Kialeigh says, "I certainly don't.. I don't much care for boats..."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "An I resprct yer keepin yer word so fer, NO attackin da Landin."

Tyrrax says, "We can wear their bones and swim in their blood together."

Chandrellia exclaims, "Snack time!"

Tyrrax says, "You have...."

Tyrrax glances at Kiyna.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kialeigh says, "Sounds miserable.. and stainy."

Tyrrax searches the sky.

Tyrrax says, "Horrible luck, at fixing things."

Tyrrax nods at Kiyna.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia asks, "Yet we fixed it so you could go free, or did you forget that?"

Irval says, "Happens when we seem to always give our enemies their freedom."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Lylia says, "In sapphire and silver, perhaps."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kiyna says, "So do you. You got yourself wrecked last time you came here to fix a problem."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse inquires, "Would you defend the Imperial settlement if we accepted your aid?"

Tyrrax laughs at Kayse!

Speaking simply to Tyrrax, Kayse says, "Well, that's where the Reivers are attacking."

Kialeigh says, "At least he doesn't lie.."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "He as much as stated they would be the enemy left in the field after the Reivers were gone."

Speaking exasperatedly to Perigourd, Kayse says, "I heard what he said."

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia asks, "Did we even send for Tyrrax or did he seek us, out?"

Tyrrax says, "The humans are easy, Predictable. Trappable. Strings on all of them."

Tyrrax says, "Reivers are mad, wild, foaming dog."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kayse asks, "How would I know?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia asks, "Try pulling our strings and see what happens?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Earthdiver asks, "Could you handle all of the reivers?"

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr says, "More like a spider these days..."

Tyrrax asks, "Can you?"

Tyrrax peers quizzically at Earthdiver.

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Im starting to like this guy."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "Ye got dat backwards, Krol, nae Reivers."

Leafiara interjects, "Yes, if you do decide to make a move, do watch out for the spiders. They start tiny, but then burrow into people, burst out, and grow to enormous sizes."

Tyrrax frowns at Leafiara.

Leafiara nods at Tyrrax.

Kialeigh says, "We should send him into the spiders nest and see if he still wants to help...."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Earthdiver says, "There doesn't seem to be a need for me to do so."

Vaemyr says, "Or tunnel under you, and pull you into a giant tunnel labyryth to attack you."

Kialeigh says, "Or if he runs away screaming into the night..."

Lylia says, "Everblood."

Chandrellia says, "Dont remind me."

Vaemyr says, "Oh and they have a bunch of everblood too at this point... so maybe they'll be immortal spiders."

Chandrellia says, "Stop already, I already have nightmares about that night."

Tyrrax says, "Maybe you send word to your may...."

Tyrrax squints.

Tyrrax says, "Mayor...."

Tyrrax says, "...and bring word of our promise."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia asks, "Very good, wasntthat hard to say now was it?"

Tyrrax makes a motion to the sea, as if sprinkling dust.

Lylia says, "Conveying a message? That seems to be something we could do."

Tikba says, "We will be happy to let him know of your intentions."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Vaemyr asks, "So I take it, that means you are going to be targeting the Reivers of your own accord?"

Bellaja says, "I understand that. I was having a spider dream, but then looked outside and sure enough there was one on the building across the street."

Leafiara says, "I've no doubt that multiple people here will let him know."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "I sugest ye git back on yer ships an sail home, Knowin we 'Preciate yer offer."

Tyrrax says, "We do not wish two swords against us in war."

Tyrrax nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia asks, "Yeah that would be bad huh?"

Tyrrax says, "Many would welcome it, in fact."

Tyrrax nods at Chandrellia.

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia says, "Actualy it would be more like three, us, the Reivers, and the Imperials."

Tyrrax says, "But I am..."

Tyrrax says, "Wiser."

Irval says, "That remains to be seen."

Cryheart says, "You want a guarantee that the Landing folks will nae attack the krolvin when you attack the reivers."

Tyrrax says, "The imperials are always a sword at your throat. Never to change."

Kialeigh says, "Don't forget the spiders..."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Lylia says, "If you were not, you would not be drawing breath today."

Irval says, "Because don't think you'll escape a trial twice if you break your word."

Tyrrax says, "They are as common as a tree or patch of grass."

Speaking mildly to Tyrrax, Tikba agrees, "Yes."

Kialeigh says, "That's like... 500000."

Raelee murmurs, "It is not always a sword."

Tyrrax says, "I have given my word."

Tyrrax says, "I am...."

Tyrrax gazes up into the heavens.

Tyrrax asks, "Preparing?"

Tyrrax asks, "Condition? Conditioning?"

Tyrrax says, "The field is best when controlled."

Tyrrax says, "The heretic will have many tricks, we need not have surprises."

Tyrrax says, "We need not have a reiver problem."

Lylia says, "Almost everything is best when controlled."

Tikba says, "Clarity is always preferable."

Irval says, "No plan survives first contact...."

Bellaja asks, "So, who here will decide this. Council?"

Kialeigh says, "All plans seem to fall out the door when the spiders come. Let him find out for himself."

Speaking to Bellaja, Chandrellia says, "I am sure they will take it to Thadston and get his oppinon."

Kayse says, "It will not be decided tonight. It will be brought to the Mayor."

Speaking to Bellaja, Kiyna says, "We don't make snap decisions like that. We'll tell the Mayor about it. Though I think I know how he'll respond..."

Tyrrax fidgets with one of the golden rings on his fingers.

Tyrrax says, "Ashes upon the sea."

Tyrrax nods.

Speaking to Kiyna, Bellaja says, "Yes, i meant after deliberation. I was unsure who had the final say. Council or the Mayor."

Lylia asks, "Would you even have the means to get to Ember Vale?"

Speaking to Bellaja, Kiyna says, "Depends. Bit of both, mostly."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Goldstr says, "Sail well fer now."

Vaemyr says, "I mean... Thadston did agree to the original... deal?... agreement? so who knows."

Tyrrax says, "We will find them."

Tyrrax nods at Lylia.

Leafiara wishes, "Stay safe out there."

Kialeigh says, "You aren't gonna wait for an official answer though... yer gonna get em regardless."

Lylia says, "Such magic may not work there. None of mine did."

Earthdiver says, "Enjoy the spiders, I guess."

Kialeigh says, "Good luck with the spiders... if you explode into red mist... we warned you."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Chandrellia says, "No offence, but if you get eaten by spiders, I am, not saving you."

Speaking to Tyrrax, Kayse asks, "You will wait for any attacks until we give you a decision?"

Tyrrax nods. [ambiguous whether this was a response to Lylia, someone else like Chandy or Kayse, or just a farewell of sorts]

Kialeigh says, "I might be tempted to point and laugh..."

Tyrrax steps back into the glowing yellow portal, back onto the deck of his ship and removes a small greasy pouch from his jacket, frowning just as the portal closes.

Discussion Afterward

Speaking to Kialeigh, Chandrellia says, "Iam not going any where near that place unless a citizen is in need again."

Thrassus says, "That gift idea was nice of him."

Vaemyr says, "Not sure if that was a yes he'll wait... or a nod good bye."

Kayse observes, "Maybe he was going to propose to Pookia with a squid ring."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kialeigh says, "Serves him right if he DOES get exploded by spiders."

Earthdiver says, "If he is only attacking the Arachne reivers..."

Rasson says, "Just pulled someone out of the spider temple."

Goldstr says, "Well sorry fer Pookia's loss der."

Kiyna says, "Hopefully we don't need Pookia to talk him down. She always had a way with him."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Missoni says, "He said he will not distinguish between them."

Kialeigh says, "He already said only good reiver is a dead one... he doesn't care."

Earthdiver says, "He should, for his own good. But it's not like we can convince him of that."

Ensayn thoughtfully says, "Ahh good. Just washed off, and was worried blood was gonna get splashed on me."

Speaking to Missoni, Perigourd says, "Why would he? their people have been warring for centuries."

Bellaja says, "There seemed to be a lot of room for maneuvering in his request."

Speaking to Rasson, Chandrellia says, "The spider temple, I donthave an issue with, when I see spiders bigger then a frost giant, and deflect my magic, I start to worry."

Tikba says, "You cannot start a fire with the intention of burning half the firewood."

Speaking to Ensayn, Leafiara says, "Perhaps another night."

Lylia says, "Even if the Town Council were to assure such a thing, non-combatant status with the krolvin, it would mean as little as such a pact with the Ember Vale against the Imperial camp."

Kialeigh says, "We don't control him.. let him do whatever he wants. Let him get exploded."

Speaking to Perigourd, Missoni says, "If he were actually an ally, he might, but he is as always only here for his own gain."

Speaking to Tikba, Earthdiver says, "He may unify the reivers under the Arachne banner."

Irval says, "Im off. Safe hunting...to most of you..."

Leafiara asks, "Just out of curiosity, Irval, have you even heard about the mayor's request from a couple nights ago?" [but he was gone too quickly]

Speaking to Earthdiver, Vaemyr says, "Oh that's almost certain."

Speaking to Missoni, Perigourd says, "I don't consider those who kill many of the townsfolk an ally, regardless of what deal was made with them."

Speaking to Lylia, Kayse agrees, "Authorizing an alliance with the krolvin pulls Wehnimer's in direct conflict."

Goldstr exclaims, "He NAE an Ally! Jess wants mer Reiver skulls!"

Speaking to Earthdiver, Tikba says, "It did not seem wise to leave them alive in any case. That is how the Ember Vale came to be."

Earthdiver says, "But at the samy time, the reivers may not want to unify for exactly the reason that we would then turn on all of them."

Earthdiver says, "Same."

Tikba says, "Having chosen an enemy, we should destroy them."

Xorus says, "It is unlikely that Luinne Bheinn would just stand aside for a krolvin invasion, even if Tyrrax were to agree to focus on Ember Vale."

Kayse says, "The imperials are not a common enemy, but the krolvin are."

Speaking to Tikba, Perigourd says, "If that logic held, Tyrrax would have been hung."

Speaking to Xorus, Kiyna says, "And that's a big if..."

Lylia says, "Amazing how many people forget that."

Speaking heartily to Kayse, Chamorr says, "Matter of opinon."

Speaking to Chamorr, Kayse says, "I meant among the Reivers."

Speaking to Perigourd, Tikba asks, "Tyrrax offered us peace against an enemy that troubles us. What does Dikirk offer, except the promise of another Haidan to come?"

Earthdiver says, "I think it speaks highly for him that he even approached us for our opinion. That is a sign of the broken monolith of the Krolvin."

Chandrellia says, "So how many cooks are we inviting to the kitchen? I mean this stew is gonna be worse then Helgas at this point."

Vaemyr says, "He didn't seem to wish to take "no" for an answer, it sounded like Tyrrax was gonna attack the reivers whether we agreed to be at peace or not... it was more of a what we were gonna do..."

Cryheart says, "Not all Imperials are a common enemy, but some imperials historically hae been."

Lylia says, "Tyrrax puts great store by a promise. We could never realistically promise passage without interference."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna asks, "Awfully similar to what Haidan said to us, isn't it?"

Speaking to Earthdiver, Leafiara says, "Indeed."

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "Except Tyrrax actually has held up his agreements in the past."

Speaking heartily to Chandrellia, Chamorr says, "We should all sit on hearthstones steps an drink tea."

Earthdiver asks, "If he attacks without our go ahead, we can simply truthfully answer that we did not support his actions. That would seem unwise on his part?"

Vaemyr says, "Not that I like this..."

Chandrellia says, "At this point I say we kill em all and let the Gods sort em out."

Leafiara asks, "I doubt Thadston would ever agree to this, regardless. Given what was said in Earl Jovery's recent letter, striking this kind of deal might seem... unsavory?"

Kayse says, "He said he would wait until we made a decision."

Kayse says, "Or nodded at least."

Speaking cheekily to Kayse, Kiyna asks, "Perhaps we can simply tell him we haven't made a decision until we've resolved the problem on our own?"

Ensayn says, "Leave that tea for the softer types."

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia asks, "And you trust the wprd of a Krolvin, that has seem to literaly stated he would backstab if it came to it?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr asks, "Was why I suggested he perhaps talk with Elidal... i know it seems crazy but I mean... if the empire and Krol have a common enemy, there are crazier things maybe...?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara admits, "Not a bad thought."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kayse says, "Once again I pointed out what I saw, but our dealing with Tyrrax and the history--he has not once not kept his word."

Ensayn sincerely says, "No killing tonight. My shower is done. Holler at me if something need to be introduced to the afterlife."

Kiyna says, "Tyrrax is definitely a unique krolvin. We should consider that when dealing with him. He can be reasoned with... after a fashion."

Lylia adds, "In fact, we would be the ones who would not keep it."

Chandrellia says, "Welp, I know where I'll be when this all goes down, in TSC healing the wounded."

Cryheart asks, "And, have you considered, if Tyraxx does attack the Reivers, and Haidan asks for our aid?"

Kayse coolly says, "Perhaps many need to toss aside their bias and hate."

Chamorr heartily says, "Wow."

Cryheart says, "In your dicussion...discuss all angles."

Tikba says, "The town was not ready even to agree to neutrality against Haidan. There is no reason to think we would defend him."

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia says, "I did toss mine aside, hence why I said just kill em all and let the Gods sort em out, I'mnot biased."

Speaking to Cryheart, Lylia says, "He was too close to our Spire. He gets no aid. He is a beast of the field whom someone taught to wear clothes."

Earthdiver asks, "Is a Haidan alliance more valuable than one with Tyrrax?"

Lylia stresses, "He should not have gotten so close."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Leafiara says, "One has an entire fleet and the other doesn't, so..."

Goldstr says, "I built one a dem meself."

Cryheart says, "Aye, the Council still needs to consider all options..so you will be prepared."

Raelee observes, "... Tyrrax is more interesting than Haidan."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kiyna says, "The gods can't be trusted to sort out colored pebbles."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Leafiara says, "Tyrrax has more resources by far."

Speaking to Raelee, Kayse corrects, "Tyrrax's ring are more interesting than Haidan?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Earthdiver says, "I am also leaning toward Tyrrax. An alliance with any Krolvin is historical. And Haidan simply broke away and raised trouble."

Chandrellia says, "Oh she left."

Speaking to Kayse, Raelee says, "That is also accurate."

Vaemyr says, "We also again, already have a forged agreement with Tyrrax, and well he honored it with us as crazy as it is to have a treaty with krolvin."

Leafiara mentions, "I wouldn't be greeting Tyrrax with polite tones if I didn't consider him credible and afford him respect. False veneers of civility aren't my style. He's kept his word and ceased attacks."

Vaemyr says, "Not that I like this... but I trust Tyrrax more than Haiden at this point."

Lylia says, "A moment."

Earthdiver says, "It's the spiders, isn't it."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "He's proven himself at his word."

Speaking to Missoni, Perigourd says, "I expect we'll do what we must then."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Vaemyr says, "Ok yes, the spiders need to all be dropped in a vocano."

Kiyna says, "I very much mislike the idea of loosing the krolvin on Dikirk's reivers. If we could just get him to narrow his focus..."

Earthdiver says, "Trust is anti-correlated with the number of legs a being has."

Bellaja says, "You'll need it between your bugs and worries."

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "Agreed, but I think that's a... unlikely scenario."

Leafiara says, "I still think that deciding the right course of action is sort of immaterial since Thadston won't take it."

Tikba mildly says, "The fire is started. It is too late to turn it aside."

Leafiara says, "Might have to find some compromise that Tyrrax and Thadston would both find acceptable."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Lylia says, "I fear the grantris belies this theory."

Leafiara says, "If such a thing is even possible."

Vaemyr says, "And honestly just us talking with Tyrrax tonight, will probably be all the justification for more Reivers to attack us."

Speaking to Tikba, Bellaja says, "Sadly it feels to be surrounding this little hamlet."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna says, "Let's not speak in riddles and metaphor, things are complex enough as it is."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I mean the previous council, and jury folks found one that Thadston agreed to..."

Vaemyr says, "So it's possible."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Did they? He was the one who proposed the jury in the first place..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kayse says, "Yes, but he wanted a different outcome."

Leafiara implies, "I suppose, if we can convince Thadston that an idea others came up with is his own..."

Kayse says, "Stormy and I spoke about the terms and getting him released."

Speaking politely to Kiyna, Tikba says, "We have war with the reivers. We should not be timid, and imagine that we should let some live."

Speaking amusedly to Kayse, Leafiara reminds, "I know, I was there in the room for one of those conversations with you two at the Raging Thrak."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna says, "I agree with this logic, insofar as it suggests we should destroy all spiders that exist."

Tikba says, "If they must be extinguished, then they must be extinguished. It is from Dikirk's clan that Haidan arose."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kayse says, "So you would know Thadston's mind was changed then."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna says, "That part I'm on board with."

Tikba says, "Having chosen our path, we should not turn aside from it. If Tyrrax destroys Dikirk's reivers, it only saves us difficulty."

Vaemyr says, "Volcano... make the "Ember Vale" a litteral term until no more spider things exist..."

Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara says, "I just don't think it was a radical shift. The goal all along was to have the jurors decide, even if it ended up not being a trial."

Leafiara considers, "So if subtle adjustments are proposed this time too, Thadston might agree..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Aye, but then Thadston went out of his way, made a deal with the Rooks to escort Tyrrax, and then let himself get the crap beaten out of to let Tyrrax save face."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara concedes, "Well, yes, definitely didn't see any of that coming."

Tikba wryly says, "Thadston may be disinclined to see our side of things just now."

Kiyna says, "Thadston suffered much to honor the agreement we made. Even if he wouldn't have desired that himself. That's why I value him as Mayor."

Vaemyr says, "So... what happens if he goes "help me with my Casiphia problem and I'll help you with your Tyrrax problem"."

Leafiara says, "We're already working on helping him with Casiphia, though, just... not in the exact way he wants."

Vaemyr says, "Aye not sure he'll even talk with the councilors at this point."

Leafiara says, "Chandy, Kelfyr, and I inked a joint letter to her after Thadston made his request."

Leafiara admits, "No response yet, granted, but..."

Kayse asks, "I mean are the Reivers even our problem yet? Or are they still an Imperial problem?"

Speaking to Kayse, Kiyna says, "Spiders exploded out of the tunnels and flooded the Landing streets but nights ago."

Speaking heartily to Kayse, Chamorr says, "Exactly."

Tikba reluctantly says, "They attacked the Spire. They are citizens of the Landing."

Speaking to Kayse, Kiyna says, "Even if the attack was intended for the imperials, their methods are grisly and indiscriminate."

Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara says, "In Thadston's eyes, they're the Landing's problem since anything that's the Empire's problem is."

Leafiara murmurs, "Impossible as is it for me to get on board with that."

Vaemyr says, "I mean... I think after tonight they are gonna be our problem."

Tikba says, "Inded, our mayor's view was clear."

Speaking to Kiyna, Kayse says, "I was there."

Vaemyr says, "Any way you put it, we "let the Krolvin Warlord go" a second time."

Vaemyr says, "Third, fourth? I mean we've kinda let Tyrrax go a lot at this point."

Tikba amusedly says, "And we have made him our ally."

Kayse says, "He's more willing to talk and negotiate than Haidan."

Leafiara says, "I'm personally content to sit out the battle between Tyrrax's forces and the Ember Vale, but someone will be caught in the crossfire, undoubtedly."

Tikba says, "Such is diplomacy."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Me too."

Xorus says, "Whole lot of people trespassing on my lawn."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Then we take on da winner."

Vaemyr says, "I mean I'm kinda willing to sit back too, and suggest that we get the Imperials to sit back as well, unlikely Tyrrax would divert his forces to attack there when he could focus on the Reivers."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Elidal had better hope he has no more people in his camp like that squire I heard about."

Kiyna says, "I know many who consider Dikirk's reivers friends and will feel betrayed if we just let this happen. The Gryphons, notably."

Kiyna says, "Granted, they are their own entity. They don't speak for the Landing or move with the town at all times."

Speaking mildly to Kiyna, Tikba says, "The Gryphons have already chosen war with the reivers."

Leafiara muses, "Can just imagine a single idiot charging out there and bringing the wrath of an entire krolvin army down on Sablo's forces."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna corrects, "With the Ember Vale."

Tikba says, "Perhaps a knight might imagine that it is possible to make war on half a family."

Tikba says, "I am not a knight."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Fun to think."

Leafiara suddenly says, "Oh, speaking of that, I forgot to apply for my free knighthood. I know I've done nothing for the barony, but that's infinitely more than the squire did for the barony."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr asks, "Free knighthood?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I'm still waiting on my Imperial Drake official paperwork to go through..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "You know you'll puke the first time someone calls you Dame Leafiara."

Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara explains, "A squire led five fools into battle to make war against the reivers. They returned dead and Elidal apparently decided that he's going to knight the leader once he's crowned."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "You would need to set food in the encampment to submit your application."

Speaking hesitantly to Kiyna, Leafiara says, "True."

Tikba corrects, "Foot."

Speaking dubiously to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Also true."

Leafiara relents, "Foiled again."

Kiyna groans, "Tyrrax, why now..."

Vaemyr says, "Anyways... best we can do is, uh try to talk with Thadston."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "I woulld make a great knight, ya know."

Speaking jovially to Kiyna, Leafiara asks, "Welcome to the Landing?"

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "Because our problems ALWAYS come back to haunt us."

Tikba amusedly says, "It is a thoughtful ally who comes to offer his aid when he sees that we are in difficulties."

Tikba says, "I am grateful."

Leafiara amiably exclaims, "Even had a thoughtful gift for Pookia!"

Kiyna says, "He should go fishing in the Bay. Maybe he'll find her."

Vaemyr says, "He looked kinda sad she wasn't here."

Leafiara curiously asks, "When's the last time anyone gave either of you a gift for your service, councilors?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna mouths, "Praise and adulation..."

Tikba amusedly says, "I gave Kiyna a blessed rod quite recently."

Kiyna removes a long rod from in her white silk mantle.

Tikba says, "I hope it has helped you."

Kiyna says, "Got me out a bind just earlier today in the Sanctum."

Tikba admits, "But that was not because of your service, but because of our friendship."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I mean there were several times at the consortium people gave me coffee, thanked me for help on paperwork and such... oh you meant a gift for serving as a councilor... yeah that'll never happen for me."

Leafiara concludes, "Well, exciting times ahead when Thadston explodes over this one too, but I should be off for now."

Tikba lightly says, "I will go and pray that Marlu may aid Tyrrax. That, at least, will cost us nothing."

Leafiara says, "Tyrrax's demons will probably appreciate it."

Vaemyr says, "Anyways... of current choices, I think letting Tyrrax do what he wants for now and NOT fighting him is probably the best of the crappy choices... but oh wells."

Vaemyr says, "Maybe there's another option somewhere still."

Vaemyr says, "Again Tyrrax at least somewhat seems to listen."

Leafiara suggests, "Sometimes you have to invent the options."

Leafiara relents, "And other times it just takes six months to get a wastebasket in the town square."
