The Pigments of Memory tattoo subscript was released at pay event Rumor Woods 2021 in the Pigments of Memory shop. Pigments of Memory can only ever be crafted in portrait form and are highly customizable. Purchase a waxpaper in the preferred series (child, comrade-in-arms, lover, parent, or sibling), customize it, and then RAISE to apply the new tattoo. Each tattoo has five verbs that can be used to trigger memories drawn from the ink.

Waxpaper Analyze

Analyze:
You analyze the sylvan portrait waxpaper and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

Welcome to Pigments of Memory waxpaper. The waxpaper will allow you to tattoo your body and give you a special series of customizations for that tattoo. You may FLIP it to switch the place that you want the tattoo to appear. You may SPIN it to switch the gender of the portrait. You may also twist to change the race of the portrait. Once you have settled your options, you may RAISE it to gain the tattoo.

Special Alteration Instructions:
Some tattoo artists have permission to alter the waxpaper, but not all. Please note, that once on the body, the tattoo cannot be modified, so it is important to have the waxpaper completely modified before raising.

Child Waxpaper

This yellow waxpaper was designed by Pigments of Memory.  It will allow you to tattoo your body and will give you special messaging based on who the tattoo has been created in memory of.

There are several customization fields still missing from this yellow waxpaper, however, a talented merchant can continue to work on the tattoo once it is on your body.

Child Tattoo Usage

Verb First Third
KISS You press a kiss against your fingertips before gently touching them to the forehead of the child lovingly portrayed in your (tattoo). Your fingers linger perhaps a few moments too long before you drop your hand and turn your eyes up and out at a distant point. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
RUB You trace your fingertip along the locks of (hair color) hair of the child inked in detail in your (tattoo), and you remember with fondness its silky texture and the way you would curl it around your forefinger when it got too long. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
TAP You tap the (nose adjective) nose of the child lovingly rendered in your (tattoo), your lips quirking as you remember all the times you would do just that when (gender) was being particularly cute. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
TICKLE As you brush your fingers against the cheek of the child depicted in your (the tattoo), you can hear (gender) voice in your ears, high-pitched and guilelessly merry as (gender) once laughed when you would chase (gender) with threatening, "grabby" fingers only to tickle (gender) sides when caught. TOUCH You move as if to touch the face of the child memorialized in your (the tattoo), but your hand pauses a scant distance above your skin. It hovers there, reverently, as your mind recalls how the weight and warmth of (gender) cheek in your palm once felt. Comrade-in-Arms

Comrade-in-Arms Tattoo Usage

Verb First Third
COVER You forcefully clap your hand on the (tattoo) of (name), shouting "(war cry)" before thrusting your fist skyward in tribute. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
GAZE As your gaze settles on the (tattoo) of (name), strands of memory wend through your thoughts, reminding you of all the times you stood side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder. A swell of confidence surges through you, and you nod once decisively. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
STARE As you stare fixedly at the (tattoo) of (name), a wave of sobriety cascades on you, borne of the memories of skirmishes and battles that you endured together. You hear your voice join with (gender) own as you shout, "(war cry)," before charging into the fray. You're left somber but bolstered by the passing remembrance. TAP Without conscious thought, you find yourself tapping the side of your thumb against the (tattoo) of your comrade-in-arms. It takes you only a moment to recognize the rhythm as that of (name)'s in training, each tap marking the shift from one form to another, each accented by the whistling swing of (gender) (weapon). TOUCH (Touch) - You thumb the cheeks of the (tattoo) of your comrade, (name), as you gaze into (gender) inked (eye color) eyes, and you feel a bone-deep ache at (gender) absence. TICKLE You trace the lines of your (tattoo), your mind wandering to a memory of a time that you and (name) were (setting). You can almost feel (gender) lips at your ear as (gender) whispers, "(phrase)" This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!

In your mind's eye, (gender) flashes a wide smile, eyes sparkling with merriment, and you can't help but smile along before slowly opening your eyes once more. SCRATCH You scratch your (tattoo) lightly, and in the back of your mind, you can almost hear your (parent type) scolding you and warning that you might damage the artwork if you "pick" at it. This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
TOUCH With a gentle hand, you touch the edge of your (tattoo), feeling a smile creep across your face at a memory of when your (parent type) took you to (place).
