Sprite Weapon

Sprite Weapons were first sold at Bloodriven Village in the Sprite Club in June 2018 by ASGM Retser. They can be blessed, ensorcelled, and enchanted, although the latter is difficult (see below). They have a special crush flare, known as a "sprite flare," that gets more potent as affinity grows. The sprite flare can be changed to other common or uncommon flares with an unlocking certificate. In 2018 through 2020, they were sold off-the-shelf with a +20 (4x) enchant level.

Tier 0

At this tier, the weapon has the standard sprite flares. It can be TOUCHed to infuse mana, set to a daily cap and timers.

Affinity

This tier can get up to Affinity Level 1 by PRAYing once the weapon has reached 1,000 bound mana. There are no special benefits at this level.

Tier 1

Affinity

This tier allows the user to reach up to Affinity Level 3 (5,000 total bound mana). This will make it so the sprite draws less power, less frequently and any mana taken may not be put towards the Daily Mana Cap.

Usage

PRAY Level 2 You reverently glance at the white sprite flying above your shoulder. It giggles at you and says, "We're becoming the two bestest friends ever! Keeeeeep giving me power and we'll be even stronger!" XXX seems to be locked in a conversation with the white sprite flying above her shoulder.
Level 3 You reverently glance at the white sprite flying above your shoulder. It giggles at you and says, "As we get closer together in a not weird way, I won't draw as much power or as often!"
Note: Advances your bond with your weapon.

Tier 2

Affinity

This tier can reach up to Affinity Level 6. At Level 4 (10,000 bound mana), the staff gains the ability Sprite Swarm, which will swarm mobs with SMRv2 attacks. At Level 6 (40,000 bound mana), the staff gains the ability Sprite Power, which will replace the standard sprite flares with Sprite Swarm for 60 seconds.

Level 5 You reverently glance at the ruby sprite flying above your shoulder. It giggles at you and says, "Our power grows, our bond grows, our weirdness grows! Lets keep working together!"
Level 6 You reverently glance at the ruby sprite flying above your shoulder. It giggles at you and says, "I can now call upon the sprite swarm up to once every ten seconds, for sixty seconds! POW!"

PULL
(Sprite Power)
Level 6 You draw your katar close to your chest and nod at your ruby sprite. Distorted ripples of ruby energy surround you as you chant in unison with the ruby sprite flying above your shoulder. Suddenly, the ruby sprite summons mirror-like clones of itself. The sprites shout, "Attaccccccccckkkkkkk!" XXX draws her katar close to her chest and nods at her ruby sprite. Note: Changes standard sprite flare to sprite swarm. Can occur once every 10 seconds for 60 seconds.

Tier 3

Affinity

This tier can reach up to Affinity Level 9. At Level 8 (80,000 bound mana), the staff gains the ability Sprite Ward, which allows the wielder to block spells by consuming stored mana. At Level 9 (100,000 bound mana), the staff gains the ability Sprite Drain, which will increase the wielder's mana regen for 10 minutes.

This will protect us against magical attacks that would strip us of our magic! I can do this once an hour and the effect will last for ten minutes! We can absorb one major dispel or three minor!"
Level 9 You reverently glance at the ruby sprite flying above your shoulder. It giggles at you and says, "Hey, so, I can draw upon the flows of mana from our surroundings to enhance your ability to regenerate mana! I can only sustain this if you hold the katar! We're the bestest of friends now, yay!"
Note: Advances your bond with your weapon.
NUZZLE
(Sprite Ward)
Level 8 You turn your head to lock eyes with your sprite and nod. The sprite flying above your shoulder places its hands out in front of itself, chanting in an odd tone. A magical barrier forms around you. XXX turns her head to lock eyes with her sprite and nods. The sprite flying above her shoulder places its hands out in front of itself, chanting in an odd tone. Note: Absorbs 3 minor dispels or 1 major dispel over 10 minutes on a 60 minute cooldown.

(Sprite Drain)

Affinity Levels

Total mana is cumulative; the count does not reset. Each level strengthens the standard sprite flares as well as increases the number of targets for Sprite Swarm.

Sprite Flares

All sprite weapons come with sprite flares, based on the crush critical table. These flares take up the script slot but leave the standard flare slot open, allowing for further upgrades or Consecrate (1604) flares.

The flares themselves can be turned on and off, cost mana, and come with a damage type of crush. A very rare service will be available to change this to any damage type. In addition, they grow stronger with higher affinity.

Sprite Swarm

This uses the base sprite swarm, and its damage type.

When used, it will replace your standard flare with the sprite swarm. This can only occur once every 10 seconds and lasts for 60 seconds.

Sprite Ward

This effect lasts for 10 minutes and can protect against 3 minor dispels OR 1 major dispel.

Sprite Drain

Sprite ambients begin around Tier 1, Affinity 3. At Tier 2, they begin around Affinity 2. This applies a general mana regeneration effect on you. It increases your mana regen by 10% for 10 minutes. Minimum of 1, maximum of 50. The item must remain in your hands for this effect to persist.

Enchanting and Ensorcelling

Sprite weapons can be blessed, ensorcelled, and enchanted. Enchanting has a severe penalty, but ensorcelling does not.

Unbonding

Unbonding is instant. The affinity (bond level) of the weapon does not have to be worked off if one inherits or purchases someone else's Sprite Weapon.
