THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE WEDDING SYSTEM

Disclaimer

For the purposes of this tutorial, and to ensure that we are capturing as many things as possible, the default for each person, space, or item will be identified as the following:

  • Spouse1 - this person has purchased the license and/or obtained it. In the examples listed here, this person is female.
  • Spouse2 - this is the person who will be marrying the license holder. In the examples listed here, this person is male.
  • Package Type - this will always be deluxe so that we can handle the largest amount of data at once. All other packages have fewer items. Where we can, we will note the differences.
  • Wedding Hall - this will always be Kraken's Fall, but you can visit any of the Wedding Halls in the lands that are open.
  • Wedding Planner - this will always be Anne, but your wedding planner can be anyone that is associated with a wedding hall.

Note On Wedding Couples: Couples seeing to be married may be any of these combinations: female/female, female/male, male/female, male/male.

Note About Entering the Wedding Hall: It is incredibly important to remember that you can not get into a Wedding Hall until you have obtained a wedding license and had it signed by two interested parties.

Note About Meetings with the Wedding Planner: It is also important to note that meeting with the Wedding Planner only requires one Spouse and that it doesn't matter if it is Spouse 1 or Spouse 2. Both spouses can enter the wedding hall. Both spouses can handle this portion of the planning stage. It is not, however, a requirement.

Making Changes to Your Wedding Plans

Elanthia is a busy place. The Landing could get invaded at any moment. A court session could be called in Vornavis. Treaties could be created by the Mirror. Pirates could have stolen your spouse on the open seas. Ice could seal up Icemule Trace. The red rot could rise up again. And what if any of these things happened within 2 days of your planned day?

In the event that a summons to court falls upon your feet, we are much more understanding than other venues and are happy to make those changes for you.

When & Where to Make Changes

  • You can change anything about your wedding up to 24 hours before the planned start time.
  • Visit any wedding hall and speak to the wedding planner about CHANGE.
  • Menu, Favors, and Cake choices can all be made in the Concourse (these items can be changed with only an hour of notice)
  • Features, Clothing, Jewelry, etc can all be made in the Concourse (these items can be changed with only an hour of notice)

The Big Changes

According to every wedding planner across Elanthia, there are four wedding items that they consider "The Big Change" and they are only too happy to assist with those stressing things. They are:

  • Wedding Dates
  • Wedding Areas
  • Hired Officiants
  • Wedding Invitations (Prior to Printing)

Speaking to the Wedding Planner

Ask Anne About Change
Anne puzzles over your words a moment and then asks, "Which detail did you want to change? I can help you with adjusting your DATE, OFFICIANT, AREA, or INVITATION, though I do have some limitations on a few of those. Let me show you the list of exceptions." She flips to a page in her master journal and turns it around to show you.

~~~ CHANGE EXCEPTIONS ~~~
1.  Wedding DATES cannot be changed with 24 hours or less until the originally scheduled date.
2.  Wedding AREAS cannot be changed within 24 hours of the scheduled ceremony.
3.  Hired OFFICIANTS cannot be changed within 24 hours of the scheduled ceremony.
4.  INVITATION designs cannot be changed once your trunk has been received and the invitations have been printed.
Changing Your Date
To get your change started...
Ask Anne About Change Date
The Wedding Planner Anne nods slowly, an understanding countenance about her.  So you'd like to change to a different date and time from 9/10/2022 00:00:00 eastern?  If so, REPEAT YOUR COMMAND WITHIN 30 SECONDS to clear your original date request.  You will then have two minutes to select a new date, or your originally scheduled date will remain on the books.
When you confirm, you will be given 2 minutes to complete the change. You will do that the same way you did when you set your first date.
Ask Anne About Change Date
The Wedding Planner Anne says, "Alright, then.  Let me just scratch out your previous selection and you can start over with a new date area.  Couldn't be easier."  She ponders a moment and raises a finger as if to say something, but stops short.  "Uhh, never mind."  She makes a few strikes across a page in her master journal and adds, "I'll give you a couple of minutes to decide on a new wedding date and if you don't pick one, we'll stick with your original schedule until you can make up your mind.  Remember, just ASK PLANNER ABOUT DATE."
If you do not complete your change in that time...
Since you haven't scheduled a new date for your wedding, the time for your previously scheduled ceremony has been restored.
Changing Your Area
To get your change started...
Ask Anne About Change Area
The Wedding Planner Anne nods slowly, an understanding countenance about her.  So you'd like to change to a different area from our "Domed Atrium" area?  If so, REPEAT YOUR COMMAND WITHIN 30 SECONDS to clear your original area request.  You will then have two minutes to select a new area, or your celebration event will remain in the current area.
When you confirm, you will be given 2 minutes to complete the change. You will do that the same way you did when you set your first area.
Ask Anne About Change Area
The Wedding Planner Anne says, "Alright, then.  Let me just scratch out your previous selection and you can start over with the area.  How's that?"  She makes a few strikes across a page in her master journal.  "Easy as cake... wedding cake, I might add!"  She begins a hearty laugh but catches herself and nervously clears her throat instead.  "I'll give you a couple of minutes to decide on a new wedding area and if you haven't decided on one, we'll stick with your original decision until you can make up your mind.  Remember, just ASK PLANNER ABOUT AREA {area #}."
If you do not complete your change in that time...
Since you haven't selected a replacement area for your wedding, the record for your previously selected area has been restored.
Please Note: If someone else has scheduled the area that you want for the time you want, then you will be unable to make that change.
Changing Your Officiant
To get your change started...
Ask Anne About Change Officiant
The Wedding Planner Anne nods slowly, an understanding countenance about her.  So you'd like to change your officiant from "Murwer," our "Dark" representative? If so, REPEAT YOUR COMMAND WITHIN 30 SECONDS to clear your original officiant request.  You will then have two minutes to select a new one, or your officiant will remain as the current selection.
When you confirm, you will be given 2 minutes to complete the change. You will do that the same way you did when you set your first officiant.
Ask Anne About Change Officiant
The Wedding Planner Anne says, "Alright, then.  Let me just scratch out your previous selection and you can start over with the officiant.  How's that?"  She makes a few strikes across a page in her master journal.  "Easy come, easy go.  Kind of like spou..."  She stops herself short of completing her sentence and nervously clears her throat.  "I'll give you a couple of minutes to decide on a new officiant and if you haven't decided on one, we'll stick with your original selection until you can make up your mind.  Remember, just ASK PLANNER ABOUT OFFICIANT."
If you do not complete your change in that time...
Since you haven't selected a replacement officiant for your wedding, the record for your previous officiant has been restored.
Changing Your Invitation
Important Disclaimer - Once you print your invitations (ie: obtain your Wedding trunk) your invitation type can not change. However, any date, time, or officiant changes will be reflected in the invitation once they are made.
To get your change started...
Ask Anne About Change Invitation
The Wedding Planner Anne nods slowly, an understanding countenance about her.  So you'd like to change your invitation design from "a scorched parchment invitation lined with black calligraphy"?  If so, REPEAT YOUR COMMAND WITHIN 30 SECONDS to clear your original invitation design.  You will then have two minutes to select a new design, or your invitations will revert to their original design.
When you confirm, you will be given 2 minutes to complete the change. You will do that the same way you did when you set your first invitation.
Ask Anne About Change Invitation
The Wedding Planner Anne says, "Alright, then.  Let me just scratch out your previous selection and you can start with fresh ideas for your invitations.  How's that?"  She makes a few strikes across a page in her master journal.  "Creative freedom!  There's nothing better--except maybe chocolate."  She begins a hearty laugh but catches herself and nervously clears her throat instead.  "I'll give you about a couple of minutes to come up with a new invitation design, and if you haven't decided on one, we'll stick with your original decision until you can make up your mind.  Remember, just ASK PLANNER ABOUT INVITATION DESIGN to see all of the available options."
If you do not complete your change in that time...
Since you haven't selected a replacement design for your invitation, the record for your previously designed invitation has been restored.
Concourse of Change
When you are visiting the Wedding Concourse, you can make changes to every customization that involves your wedding up to an hour before it starts.
Did you show your wedding dress to your Maid of Honor and she gasped in disgust? Then no worries, we have you covered. Head back to the Concourse and fix your faux pas.
Is your soon-to-be Mother-in-law allergic to your flower choice? Then this isn't an issue, simply head back to the florist.
Did your hair color choice clash with your spouse's clothing choices? Fear not! Walk, not run -- no need for pre-wedding accidents --, and change your hair.
