Weddings/Creating Your Wedding Menu
Disclaimer
For the purposes of this tutorial, and to ensure that we are capturing as many things as possible, the default for each person, space, or item will be identified as the following:
- Spouse1 - this person has purchased the license and/or obtained it. In the examples listed here, this person is female.
- Spouse2 - this is the person who will be marrying the license holder. In the examples listed here, this person is male.
- Package Type - this will always be deluxe so that we can handle the largest amount of data at once. All other packages have fewer items. Where we can, we will note the differences.
- Wedding Hall - this will always be Kraken's Fall, but you can visit any of the Wedding Halls in the lands that are open.
- Wedding Planner - this will always be Anne, but your wedding planner can be anyone that is associated with a wedding hall.
Note On Wedding Couples: Couples seeing to be married may be any of these combinations: female/female, female/male, male/female, male/male.
Note About Entering the Wedding Hall: It is incredibly important to remember that you can not get into a Wedding Hall until you have obtained a wedding license and had it signed by two interested parties.
Note About Meetings with the Wedding Planner: It is also important to note that meeting with the Wedding Planner only requires one Spouse and that it doesn't matter if it is Spouse 1 or Spouse 2. Both spouses can enter the wedding hall. Both spouses can handle this portion of the planning stage. It is not, however, a requirement.
Wedding Menus & You
Each Wedding Package has different amounts of menu items that can be served during the wedding reception. Prior to your wedding, you can set this menu and it will be available to you the day of your wedding in the Wedding Glade where your ceremony is scheduled to take place.
Wedding Menus contain the following items by package:
- Choice Weddings - Three menu items are available to this package. They can be of any combination of food items and do not include the Wedding Cake.
- Classic Weddings - Six menu items are available to this package. They can be of any combination of food items and do not include the Wedding Cake.
- Deluxe Weddings - Twelve menu items are available to this package. They can be of any combination of food items and do not include the Wedding Cake.

Rhimar-lined cases house a cheese plate and a fruit bowl on one side of the entry, while drakar-lined cases keep several bread baskets and a large vegetable terrine warm. Brightly colored posters and fanciful sketches decorate the white stucco walls of the small baker's shop. Clustered globes of light spill their bright illumination everywhere, while stainless steel tables form a barrier between customers and the many ovens that line the back wall. Filled with a variety of decorated cakes, a glass-front display case displays the various offerings of the bakery. You also see a cheerful baker. |

Brass torches sit in large rings upon the walls of the linden-paneled bar, their crystalline flames flickering with an inner light that fills the space. A long bar topped with a tray full of hot drinks separates diners from the workspace where a lanky bartender bustles about. Flanked by a cool drink caddy and a wine rack, a long liquor cabinet stretches across the wall behind the bar, while several copper-bound oak kegs with easily accessible taps rest beneath. |

Working With the Chef
The Chef at Crave Dining is very good at his job. He has multiple things that he can help you with and the best place to start with him is to ask him for help. Below are the step by step ways that he can assist you.
Ask Chef About Help A jolly chef says, "I will help you craft the perfect food and beverage menu for your wedding. Sample our offerings and GIVE me the items you would like to serve at your wedding. You may select up to 12 items for your menu, including both drinks and food items but not including your signature drink, plus a wedding cake from the baker. You may TELL me to REPLACE an item on the menu; ASK me to CLEAR an item from the menu; or you may ASK me about your MENU to see what you and your betrothed have selected thus far. If you have a specific TASTE in mind, you may ASK me about TASTE {keyword} and I will examine our offerings and make suggestions to you based on your preference." >
If you have not created your menu and you have no interest in creating your menu, then the chef will construct one for you at random. He does this once.
Ask Chef About Menu A jolly chef says, "Here is the menu for your wedding." He hands you a card, which reads: .________________________________________ SPOUSEONE AND SPOUSETWO'S WEDDING MENU 1. a savory herb-stuffed artichoke 2. a cup of honey lemon tea 3. a crab-stuffed mushroom cap 4. a handful of briny dark olives 5. a delicate wedge of brie cheese 6. a honey-brushed slice of seeded pomegranate 7. a steak of garlic-pepper swordfish 8. a slice of red pepper-encrusted pork tenderloin 9. a glass of chilled jasmine petal tea 10. some robust pale golden retsina 11. a glass of aged sherry 12. a slice of red pepper-encrusted pork tenderloin DESSERT a slice of white frosted wedding cake * Speckled with candied silver dots .________________________________________ A jolly chef adds, "To replace any menu item, please choose or bring me a sample of your chosen item, GIVE it to me, and then TELL me which number menu item you would like to REPLACE."
If you are uncertain what you would like on your menu, but you have a specific flavor palate then you ask the chef about the tastes he has to offer.
Ask Chef About Taste Cinnamon A jolly chef says, "You are interested in cinnamon? Let me see what I can do for you..." The chef bustles around the room for a moment and says, "Here is what I have:" A handful of sugar-rolled almonds on a side dish table. First Taste: The almonds have been rolled and then baked in a coating of sweet cinnamon and sugar, giving them the tasty appeal of candy. Second Taste: The combination of aromatic cinnamon coating, hearty interior, and crispy baked crunch makes these almonds an ideal snack. A baked apple cinnamon scone in a bread basket. First Taste: Dense and rich, the mellow flavor of the apple cinnamon scone is enhanced by cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Second Taste: Sweet yet mild, the delicate passion fruit preserves daintily moisten the scone and mingles nicely with the vanilla and other earthy spices used in its creation. A halved cinnamon acorn squash in a vegetable terrine. First Taste: The warm flesh of the squash has a very fine texture, with a sweet, nutty flavor. Second Taste: With a smattering of butter and a dusted coat of cinnamon, the deep orange flesh of the cinnamon acorn squash is mellow and flavorful. A tart cinnamon apple crumble turnover on a dessert cart. First Taste: Sweet cinnamon complements the tart apple flavors. Second Taste: The flaky crust is rich and buttery. A crispy wafer-thin gingersnap on a dessert cart. First Taste: Each crisp bite of this hard-baked gingersnap leaves a layer of cinnamon and sugar on your lips. Second Taste: The crisp outer layer of this gingersnap gives way to a flaky, insubstantial interior that melts away on your tongue. A delicately spiced pecan tartlet on a dessert cart. First Taste: Strong clove, ginger, and cinnamon flavors add a sharp zing to this crisp tartlet. Second Taste: Striking the delicate balance between crisp and chewy, your spiced pecan tartlet is about as close to perfection as mortal bakers can get. Some warm brandied bread pudding on a dessert cart. First Taste: A dash of cinnamon sweetens the custardy pudding. Second Taste: The soft bread makes the rich, creamy pudding almost fluffy. A handful of sugar-rolled almonds on a dessert cart. The chef adds, "Once you have made your decision, grab a sample and GIVE it to me, and I will add it to your wedding menu. If you don't see something you like here, you are welcome to bring a sample from elsewhere, and I will try to match it."
If you change your mind on any of the items on your wedding menu, then simply ask the chef to replace that item.
Tell Chef to Replace A jolly chef says, "I am not sure what you are trying to replace. Please GIVE me an item you would like me to serve at your wedding."
You do need to give him the food item in order for him to replace it.
>give chef A jolly chef says, "You want to serve a poached amaretto-splashed pear at your wedding. Which item would you like to replace? Please TELL me to REPLACE the menu item number you would like to replace out of this list:" 1. a savory herb-stuffed artichoke 2. a cup of honey lemon tea 3. a crab-stuffed mushroom cap 4. a handful of briny dark olives 5. a delicate wedge of brie cheese 6. a honey-brushed slice of seeded pomegranate 7. a steak of garlic-pepper swordfish 8. a slice of red pepper-encrusted pork tenderloin 9. a glass of chilled jasmine petal tea 10. some robust pale golden retsina 11. a glass of aged sherry 12. a slice of red pepper-encrusted pork tenderloin >tell chef to replace 6 A jolly chef says, "You have chosen to serve a poached amaretto-splashed pear at your wedding. Excellent choice!"
Working with the Bartender
Much like the chef, the bartender is here to help you with your various wedding menu needs. He will help you to replace any item on your menu with a beverage of your choice. He has the same functionality as the chef when it comes to building your menu, but is specifically catered towards beverages.
He is also the person you will see about your Signature Drink.
Since the bartender can help you with your signature drink, we are going to skip that functionality and focus on the menu portion of his services.
Ask Bartender About Help A lanky bartender says, "I will help you craft the perfect food and beverage menu for your wedding. If you have a specific TASTE in mind, you may ASK me about TASTE {keyword} and I will examine our offerings and make suggestions to you based on your preference." (other help messaging for signature drinks has been suppressed)
If there is a specific flavoring in your drink, you can ask the bartender about that using the same TASTE request as the chef.
'''ask bartend about taste almond''' A lanky bartender says, "You are interested in almond? Let me see what I can do for you..." The bartender bustles around the room for a moment and says, "Here is what I have:" A glass of amber-hued almond wine on a wine rack. First Taste: The rich, nutty, almost coffee-like aroma hints at the long, oak-barreled aging. Second Taste: Various flavor sensations from toasted almonds to spicy fruit greet your tongue. A mug of nutty white almond liquor in a liquor cabinet. First Taste: The creamy liqueur goes down smoothly, carrying with it a hint of berry flavor. Second Taste: The almond aftertaste complements the fruity cream of this smooth beverage. A mug of hot sweet almond coffee on a hot drink tray. First Taste: Vanilla, sugar, and almond flavoring accent the fine coffee flavor. Second Taste: A pleasant warmth spreads through you as the fragrance of almond caresses your nose. The bartender adds, "Once you have made your decision, grab a sample and GIVE it to me, and I will add it to your wedding menu. If you don't see something you like here, you are welcome to bring a sample from elsewhere, and I will try to match it."
If you'd like to replace a menu item with a drink, then you can take these steps:
>give bar A lanky bartender says, "You want to serve a mug of fragrant lavender citrus tea at your wedding. Which item would you like to replace? Please TELL me to REPLACE the menu item number you would like to replace out of this list:" 1. a chunk of sunflower seed loaf 2. a delicate wedge of brie cheese 3. a sprig of dark purple-black grapes 4. a honeydew and hibiscus blossom salad 5. a bowl of velvety forest mushroom soup 6. a halved cinnamon acorn squash 7. a bowl of earthy wild rice 8. some aromatic butter-braised chicken 9. some balsamic grilled salmon 10. some robust pale golden retsina 11. a glass of aged sherry 12. a slice of red pepper-encrusted pork tenderloin >tell bar to replace 12 A lanky bartender says, "You have chosen to serve a mug of fragrant lavender citrus tea at your wedding. Excellent choice!"
Working with Baker
Much like the chef' and the bartender, the baker is here to help you with your various wedding menu needs.
He is also the person you will see about creating your Wedding Cake if you have a Deluxe Wedding Package.
Since the Deluxe package has the expanded cake offerings, we are going to skip that for the moment and focus on the functionality that Choice and Classic weddings will see.
Ask Baker About Help ask bake about help A cheerful baker says, "Sample our offerings and GIVE me the cake you would like at your wedding."
Find a cake choice on the case and then provide it to the baker.
>give baker (with cake in hand) A cheerful baker says, "You have chosen to serve a triple-tiered deep red wedding cake with snowy white frosting at your wedding. Excellent choice!" A cheerful baker clears away your cake.
Your Completed Menu
Now that you have visited with the chef, the bartender, and the baker, you can ask either the chef or the bartender about your menu to see the final results. For the purposes of testing, we chose the below menu:
>ask chef about menu A jolly chef says, "Here is the menu for your wedding." He hands you a card, which reads: .________________________________________ SPOUSEONE AND SPOUSETWO'S WEDDING MENU 1. a chunk of sunflower seed loaf 2. a delicate wedge of brie cheese 3. a sprig of dark purple-black grapes 4. a honeydew and hibiscus blossom salad 5. a bowl of velvety forest mushroom soup 6. a halved cinnamon acorn squash 7. a bowl of earthy wild rice 8. some aromatic butter-braised chicken 9. some balsamic grilled salmon 10. some robust pale golden retsina 11. a glass of aged sherry 12. a mug of fragrant lavender citrus tea DESSERT a slice of deep red wedding cake * With snowy white frosting .________________________________________ A jolly chef adds, "To replace any menu item, please choose or bring me a sample of your chosen item, GIVE it to me, and then TELL me which number menu item you would like to REPLACE." >
